  1. Not in the least surprised. Remember Dr. Jonathan Wright MD? His clinic was raided and everything seized. This was 20 or 25'years ago!
  2. Don't know if this is relevant but - having given almost 11 gallons over the years, I have decided to not give any more because the Red Cross is listed as one of the charities who pays its CEO over a million a year, plus a Rolls Royce, and of the amount donated in cash for emergencies, only about 8 percent actually makes it to those who need it. Plus, if I'm ever in need of blood then I have to pay through the teeth.... There are many plasma donation centers that accept donors regardless of their backgrounds. Just try not to need blood !!
  3. Thanks again, Adam. Merry Merry Christmas to you and yours!
  4. In the face of falling oil prices plus the "Climate Change" agreements to loosen up on fossil fuels and gear up towards more alternative fuels, what is your take, Adam, on how this could effect an RV. Or, in the short term, not have anything tondo with it. Thanks for your continued leadership and common sense!
  5. An interesting talk on NPR the other day on AIDS virus research going back 80 years and more. There are apparently a number of viruses out there, spread by sharing body fluids, including blood, that have mutated over and across monkey species. A healthy body, man or ape, can fight it off. An unhealthy body is subject to illness. Apparently AIDS may have jumped to man through diet. Many people eat monkey. And so the the virus mutated.
  6. What is your opinion on the state of the economy and how sliding into another recession may affect any potential RV? Happy Thanksgiving and may your family turkey be super delicious ..
  7. What is Peshmerger doing with the terrorists? Will they go on trial or be executed?
  8. We've known for 20 years - In the United States of American and free speech be damned...you cannot say that a supplement "heals, cures or ameliorates " ANY disease condition. Because in this country, by legal, definition only a DRUG can heal, cure, etc. Don't you love it? She said sarcastically.
  9. Actually, we have had attracts...see Oklahoma City, to name one. Nut cases come in every religion, every ethnicity, every color.just happens that IS is particularly vicious.
  10. No wonder we have a government problem.
  11. Good rant! Twenty five years ago I taught at a high school. Upon occasion the teaches would meet with administrators who spoke on retirement strategies or health care. I met with an administrator (sales person) who was offering Cancer insurance policies that would take card of everything when one got cancer. I remember thinking "Why in the world would I need that? I am not having cancer." I told her that and she was practically speechless. The seed...is planted fir positive or negative. I have always thought that we are in charge of our wellness. You are what you think. I had a physician sneer at me once when I mention the positive effect of a supplement. "Placebo Effect," he jeered. "All in your mind!" "Bring it on," I said. "It works!"
  12. Excellent article. Standard researchers have for years poopooed this. Studies using synthetic C won't work and they usually haven't identified what form they are using. Thanks!
  13. Thank you both. Have known this for 40 years, as I have mentioned before. If one is going to make pie crust, lard is the preferred fat. And I am going to make a pecan pie for Thanksgiving. Picked the pecans myself. Might even eat all the crust... The filling will be all organic. Including cane sugar, butter and eggs and of course no corn syrup. This will be rare for us. We avoid sugar like all get out...Sugar feeds cancer and it stuns us to see the bowls of cancer food sitting around clinics that treat cancer patients! And the overweight nurses sitting sitting around with sugary desserts in the break rooms. Unbelievable.
  14. The genetic trait of barbarism that seems to run through the human race is unfathomable to me.
  15. Yup! I have tried to be organic as much as possible for 50 years. Married for over 30 wonderful years I very carefully select what we eat. Result? He is near 80 and both of us are healthy, no arthritis or any other health challenges; plus no meds at all.
  16. I would be sore pressed to give up a good Italian prosciutto, properly aged, so we won't. Having made it to almost 75 and having looked with amazement at the growing amount of processed foods devoured in this country (been reading labels for 40 years), I am pleased that a warning has been sounded. Never gave up butter, never used margarine or other spreads, and when they said eggs were a no no, I thought they were nuts. Take a look at photos and films from the 30s, 40s, 50s and into the 60s. Crowd scenes of people - they are slender with few overweight individual. Then look today. All are addicted to sugar and foods (simple carbs like pasta, corn, rice, breads) that are quickly converted to sugar. Sugar is more addictive than heroin. Yikes. Prevention is key and that means lifestyle choices from a young age. In my opinion Thaiexpat is right on with his comments on diet. Also, if you like to cook you can prepare your own sausages with your own herbs and spices.
