Right on darlin, could not agree more. Any talk of "new Currency" is, IMO referring to lower denoms. For them to release a completely new currency would be political suicide. In other words....IT AIN'T GONNA HAPPEN!!! Peace

Many people are saying this is talking about lower denoms. But is it? I haven’t heard anyone talk about the fact that the only denomination this refers to is one equal to the US $100. In the past they have talked about releasing a 100,000 dinar note and guess what, that would roughly equal US $100. The sticking point for me is the article says the new currency will “make it easier to do everyday transactions for their people”. How exactly would lower denoms do that at a 1170/1 rate? They wouldn’t. They would in fact make it worse. So unless they are outright saying there is a RV in the works I think we are gonna see a 100,000 dinar note before we see lower denoms. Anyone here that knows me knows that I am not a glass half empty kind of guy and I really hope I'm interpreting this wrong but the article is causing me more concern at this point than joy. Sorry

So much drama for a dinar website. I think everyone needs to keep their ego's in check and realize this is not life or death. It is a bunch of people who are sitting around talking about a worthless currency in hopes that something happens. The whole international intrigue and rampant conspiracy theories of attacks and "us vs them" seem a bit silly to me. I think we all need to get over ourselves and get back to the business of having fun with dreaming about what could be. Peace

How would this lead to believe in a LOP??? There will be no LOP. That would be disasterous for Iraq. Aint gonna happen. This thread to me could very well be talking about the new lower denoms. I would bet you ALL MY DINAR that there is absolutely NO new currency being issued other than lower denoms. If they ever came out with a new currency and claimed the current to be null and void, they would, in one fell swoop, alienate themselves from every government in the world because they too would be holding worthless currency. I assure you this is not the case.

When do so many of us become so cynical and angry??? I think aside from Scooter's research, this may be one of the best written pieces I have read to date on this site. I just don't understand the mentality of people who enjoy being disliked. I assume it goes much deeper than anything you've experienced at this site. I'm sorry for the pain you must carry around all day every day but you don't need to spend so much time and energy trying to spread the pain to others.
