  1. Amen - I can think of a lot of people that I could help mamarabbit02 and am prepared to do so.
  2. Alex38 - how true, how true. Guess I'm just tired today and need to be thanking God for my job and the rest of the good stuff he gives me that I forget about. Thanks kiddo - big hug to you.
  3. NO OFFENSE to skrappyone - I would be so bummed out - to think that have waited and tried not as SinJin so nicely puts it - "yearn" for this to happen or that it is a windfall - but if the amount was a piddling like indicated, I would be so bummed out.
  4. Jon29 - Quote Thank you my dear, but you give me too much credit. Can a mere man influence the mighty north wind to blow in rain to water the dry land? Does the brush tell Picasso what to create? Am I to summon the sun to bring a new day and chase away darkness and despair? Nay, not I, possum comes and goes as he pleases bringing good word and grand hope sublime. Here he arrives once again, in our darkest hour, to share vital Intel after pummeling those Iraqi political pillboxes and turning powerful and secretive bureaucrats to jelly with one phone call and word from momma. Unquote Shall await your NEW possum adventures now that he and momma are back to the land of the USA - I shall miss the other possum adventures given he skulled about in the night.
  5. Canuklady'16 August 2012 - 11:49 AM Thanks Dinar Thug! It's been a while since I posted (although I continued my plus drive bys throughout the summer). It looks like this ride may soon come to and end! Thug, thanks for always making me laugh and to all the newshounds who bring and break down the news for DV. What an honor it's been to be on this ride with you guys. Some nights I laughed do hard at some of your posts, you guys have no idea! Regardless of the outcome (as an aside, I still think this ends well for us), I have learned a ton and I can truly say it's been a pleasure! It will be an even bigger pleasure when this darn thing RVs! What will I do when I don't start and end my day with DV after the RV? Oh right, I will be on a permanent vacation...Now go RV already! Canuklady, could not have said it any better myself - I've laughed some nights until my sides hurt - all the crazy and fun peeps on this site, and how witty - it's the best.
  6. Cris, I've been to San Antonio - loved it, Dallas FW, and lastly Amarillo - which I really liked, too. Went and competed at the world quarter horse show in Amarillo - great little city and people are so nice. Hotter than heck, but I'm a cold country person so just seemed even more hot to me. Best! DinarMillionaire - not sure what are calf fries, but I'll go for a good old steak anytime.
  7. Hey, you're welcome! Kinda liked it myself.
  8. umbertino - thank you kindly
  9. How is that different than any politician - not just Obama or Romney - but any of them? How can you point the finger at one of them and not see it applies across the board?

  11. Why does everything have to be tied to a "disease?" When are people going to stand up and take responsibility for themselves and their stupid choices? I've a belly full of the attitude that no one but me matters and what I want, how I want it and whether I can afford it or not - I'll get it - even if it means killing a kid for his tennis shoes or jacket. Or no different than car stealing, for God's sake, take ownership of something - be responsible.

    Awkward

I get it, but in my mind, nothing awkward about it and I know Romney is a fatcat, but I go for what Ryan stated.

  17. TG, thank you for an interesting post-and sane dialogue all around. Quadkidd- I'm sending this list to one of my company's biz dev group - I see some of my company's competition listed so I'm going to ask if were sending anyone. We've won some energy work in Iraq. I keep quietly asking how we are getting paid in hopes I'll hear something on a RV.

  19. Quote: Jews, Christian and Muslims claim Abraham as their patriarch.... Does that make us all brothers??? At least half-brothers - God promised Abraham heirs greater than the number of stars in the sky with Sarah. Yet he also took Hagar and had Ishmael - allegedly the start of the muslim side Abraham and IshmaelAbraham was fond of his son Ishmael who had grown up to be fourteen years old when his son Isaac was born. However, with Sarah, things were never the same with Ishmael's mother Hagar, back in her life. Now that Sarah had finally borne her own child, she could no longer stand the sight of either Hagar or Ishmael. When the teenager was jesting around, Sarah told Abraham to send the two of them away. She declared that Ishmael would not share in Isaac's inheritance. Abraham was greatly distressed by his wife's words and sought the advice of his God. The Lord told Abraham not to be distressed but to do as his wife commanded. God reassured Abraham that "in Isaac shall seed be called to thee." (Genesis 21:12) He also said that Ishmael would make a nation, "because he is thy seed", too. (Genesis 21:9–13) Early the next morning, Abraham brought Hagar and Ishmael out together. He gave her bread and water and sent them away. The two wandered the wilderness of Beersheba until her bottle of water was completely consumed. In a moment of despair, she burst in tears. The boy then called to God and upon hearing him, an angel of God confirmed to Hagar that he would become a great nation. A well of water then appeared so that it saved their lives. As the boy grew, he became a skilled archer living in the wilderness of Paran. Eventually his mother found a wife for Ishmael from her native country, the land of Egypt. (Genesis 21:14–21)
  20. That heifer Nancy Pelosi really grinds my grits - she had to have a "special plane" as the one supplied to her wasn't good enough or big enough - old news but it is stuff like that that just ticks me off - that and "oh by the way, lets pass the bill and read it afterwards to see what exactly we passed" omgoodness she just aggravates the hecter out of me. old news I know - but a good example of spending run amok - http://www.newshounds.us/2007/02/08/unsubstantiated_pelosi_plane_story_on_special_report.php this is what I'd love to do to her.............
  21. Maggie & Fastarnie - I like concrete guys too - especially when they take their shirts off and I get to see all those yummy muscles - mmmmmmm thanks guys for the vision - Really, all kidding aside - Tandy - loved the upbeat flow of the thread - makes my heart glad and smiley. The beat down stuff gets so old after awhile - I wonder if some of the folks on here ever have a happy thought or feel thankful. Regardless of how this ends - I'm happy to have met some wonderful peeps on this site. Cheers and go RV!!!
  22. Report from link: UNITED STATES of America - It can now be reported that the U.S. Inspector General, along with IMF (International Monetary Fund) officials, are jointly coordinating major redemption and repatriation of collateralized assets from offshore proprietary accounts reference property rights, precious and industrial metals, along with oil and natural gas holdings (India, China, Singapore and the Philippines). The word from the IMF is out that because of the irregularities of the LIBOR rate worldwide banks need to reconsolidate and recollateralize and not create more derivatives that would immediately be absorbed in borrowing costs and create more deflation not inflation with the banks being unable to really loan money. A recent short term bridge loan to the government of Greece that was supplied to them by the Bank of Greece has alarmed IMF officials. Note: The Bank of Greece's stockholders include German Deutsche Bank, the Bank of Shanghai in mainland China, along with former President George Herbert Walker Bush, former Secretary of State Colin Powell, banking giant Goldman Sachs and Bank of America, together with current New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg (owner of Bloomberg News). Question to Bloomberg News: Have you heard that sources close to the German Budenstag (German Parliament) believe the German Supreme Court will rule that the ESM (European Stability Mechanism) is unconstitutional under German law when they convene on September 12, 2012? Item: At this hour, IMF President Christine Lagarde and Bundesbank CEO Jens Weidmann believe ECB (European Central Bank) President Mario Draghi exceeded the scope of his mandate. Lagarde and Weidmann also have informed the German Deutsche Bank that their balance sheet needs to be recapitalized with real assets. Both Lagarde and Weidmann believe the solution to the euro crisis is reconsolidation and repatriation and not borrowing money that doesn't exist. This all dovetails to the final implementation of the Wanta-Reagan-Mitterrand Protocols that could zero out the U.S. budget deficit within 60 days and dramatically reduce European and worldwide debt exposure. P.S. We can now also divulge that the U.S. Inspector General has begun a preliminary audit of the U.S. Federal Reserve, along with the U.S. and European banking giants the the FED and the American Taxpayers helped 'bail out'. The Inspector General is working on issuing invoices that will become assets for the U.S. Treasury, the American Taxpayers and the IMF. P.P.S. Last Friday the rogue Federal Reserve Bank of New York (Timothy Geithner's former employer) issued customer repo's allowing banking giants Goldman Sachs and Bank of America to use their bonds as collateral to get a short term line of credit and then buy U.S. equities, weaken the U.S. dollar and create asset bubbles by buying various commodity contracts.
  23. umbertino - one of my all time favs - loved Otis - and Brook Benton - Rainy Night in Georgia - I changed boyfriends I'll be three times before I ever changed "our song" lol !!! Otis Ray Redding, Jr. (September 9, 1941 – December 10, 1967) was an American soul singer-songwriter, record producer, arranger, and talent scout. He is considered one of the major figures in soul music and rhythm and blues (R&, and one of the greatest singers in popular music. His open-throated singing was an influence on other soul singers of the 1960s, and he helped to craft the lean and powerful style of R&B that formed the basis of the Stax Sound. After appearing at the 1967 Monterey Pop Festival, he wrote and recorded "(Sittin' On) The Dock of the Bay", which became the first posthumous number-one record on both the Billboard Hot 100 and R&B charts after his death in a plane crash. The Dock of the Bay reached number one on UK Albums Chart, becoming the first posthumous album to do so. Redding was born and raised in the American state of Georgia. At age 15, he left school to support his family by working with Little Richard's backing band, The Upsetters, and by playing talent shows for prize money. In 1958, he joined Johnny Jenkins's band, The Pinetoppers, and toured the Southern United States while serving as driver and musician. An unscheduled appearance on a session led to a turning point in his career. He signed a contract with Stax Records and released his debut album, Pain in My Heart, in 1964. This album produced his first Stax single, "These Arms of Mine". Although Redding's initial popularity was with African Americans, he later became equally popular among the broader American public. He and his group first played small gigs in the South, then performed at the Whisky a Go Go nightclub, their first concert in the western United States. Internationally, Redding later performed in Paris and London among other venues. Redding's death was devastating for Stax, which was on the verge of bankruptcy. Later Stax discovered that Atlantic Records owned the rights to the entire catalog. Redding received many posthumous accolades, including the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award and induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Songwriters Hall of Fame. Because of his influence on other artists, he received the honorific "King of Soul".
