  1. I think this is extremely good news. I may be wrong but I can't imagine, ""the trading system can be remotely investors from trading in securities via the Internet from anywhere," expected "system accomplish the end of the second half of the current 2016" could be in place without an international IQD. Here is hoping!
  2. I can go along with what you are saying here with a possible noted exception to "hashed out" on the April 20 "Let's All Get Baked Day" (today). Just pokin' at ya!
  3. This whole Iraqi Parliament drama episode may be a way to figure out for sure who all the corrupt and contrary parliamentarians are so they can all have this great big ole can of WHOOP poured all over them at the same time. Game Over. New Day. New Rules. New Game. No Same Ole Same Ole No Mo. Happy Place, Ready Or Not, We Will Be Arriving SOOOOOONNNNN!!!
  4. Yeah, I'd like to find out where Yota seems to get all his phenomenal coffee. He seems to always be pumped and really chipper. I could use that.
  5. I wonder if Abadi using the "Golden Telephone" in the picture above is of any significance. Pretty sure it beats the "Red Telephone" and all it's implications. We'll see.
  6. I think a significant highlight to the article above is, "Supreme Committee for the loans, the Central Bank of Iraq, announced the completion of the electronic form to register the amount of five trillion dinars loans, noting that the launch of the presentation will be the end of this April." How in the world could they launch this electronic loan process unless they had their state of the are technological and banking standards in place to be implemented on the Iraqi street level? And, the end of this April? It is April 20 today. At most, 10 more days. To me, this is very encouraging news.
  7. I am not aware of an unannounced Leadership Change In The Central Bank Of Iraq. From what I understand, Ali al-Alaaq is the current proxy CBI Governor installed by Nouri al-Maliki. This proxy appointment was made because the acting CBI Governor - Dr. Shabibi - wasn't going along with the corruption al-Maliki was implementing in the CBI. Apparently, this proxy CBI Governor appointment needs to be removed so that the acting CBI Governor - Dr. Shabibi - can complete the necessary CBI reforms (issue lower IQD denominations, etc.) and ultimately establish the IQD international rate.
  8. The article states at the end, "But this goal will not be fully achieved without the development of the banking system and reduce the cash payment operations for the benefit of bank transfers and other forms of payment credit. But that requires a first - class citizen persuasion advantages of the banking system, an issue that seems difficult because of the security, political and economic challenges facing the country." I suspect the banking system functioning today in Iraq for the Iraqi citizen is far more advanced and utilized than this article indicates in spite of the security, political, and economic challenges facing the country. The article also states, "Following the appointment of a new leadership of the bank put the current governor and the agency on the Keywords project again pledged to implement it at the beginning of 2017, but there on the ground for what promises this, leadership of the central bank is well know that they are going in a minefield." I suspect Ali al-Alaaq will be replaced soon (with likely Dr. Shabibi?) and the minefield is now being (or has been) swept of mines. I also suspect with Ali al-Alaaq out of the CBI and someone like Dr. Shabibi acting as the CBI Governor, the project to delete the zeros with the eye toward raising the value of the dinar to become nearly one dollar will happen long before the beginning of 2017.
  9. I agree, Wiljor. To me, this demonstrates that Iraq's communication, banking, and general technology infrastructure is sufficiently in place for their citizens to use freely. I suspect this also indicates that the state of the art banking hardware, software, and national/international standards is being (or has been) implemented. This is something I suspect had not been in place previous to 2003 and was a significant technological reason for the IQD not going international previously. To me, this indicates strongly the IQD will go international in the short to near term. Previously, stone age banking practices were implemented by Saddam Hussein and other current corrupt politicians to serve their own purposes. Surely, the Panama Papers leak can not be the only indicator of where the pilfered Iraqi funds have been directed. There may be a tsunami of returned funds to Iraq with the international banking systems and standards in place. Good News for us.
  10. Oh, yeah, Tigergorow and Wiljor. I, too, really believe the outward disarray is a cover for other very positive outcomes. I am inclined to believe that, from what I can recall from other articles, the IMF requirement to start the pay back of IMF loans in mid July (90 days from now) is bringing the contrary issues to the surface now big time - so they can be dealt with. I was surprised to see Iraq's push to get a good credit rating (with ISIS remaining, foreign militias in Iraq, and corruption) and further indicates to me Iraq is getting it's house more in order. For Iraq to make good on the IMF loan repayments, there may be some unknown requirements to the general public of some form of international status for the IQD. I can't imagine Iraq being closed and having to draw from their USD reserves to meet the loan repayments. I suspect ISIS, Maliki, and a few other bad actors will hit the headline news soon indicating their rightful outcomes.
  11. This is recycle repeated in some way, shape, or form at the onset and during Ramadan every year for the past several years. I just ignore it since these postings have no credibility whatsoever. FYI, Ramadan this year is nominally Monday, June 6th through Tuesday, July 5th. If I understand correctly, the actual start and end is determined by the "moon sightings" so could shift a day but does not last more than 30 days.
  12. Saleem al-Jubouri's speech in the third to last article above shows he is a true Iraqi patriot. Haider al-Abadi's speech in a similar article shows these two are Iraqi patriots intent on the best outcome for Iraq. Praying they soon prevail.
  13. Fortunately or unfortunately, a corrupt politician or two's heads on pikes via the will of the people in full public view may change the tide of opinion in the necessary political sectors.
  14. I agree, ChinaDawg. I can't imagine the road blocks remaining in place for any significant amount of time - especially since they are directly opposed to the constructed road to recovery and prosperity that was carefully laid out for Iraq by the US, UK, UN, IMF, WB, and others by the investment of troops and monetary aid.
  15. I agree with you 10 Years Later. Iraq refusing to cooperate with IMF (and others like WB) provisions to usher them into a stable and civilized international partner will not be well received. And, as you mentioned, might (I am thinking more likely) lead to IMF or other interdiction and correction. Too much on the table for international interests and the Iraqis in general due to the misdeeds of a few. I strongly suspect some interesting news out of Iraq soon.
  16. Thank You, RSTEFAN, for posting. Yes, very interesting. April 19, 2016 could be a very significant historical event with the Shanghai Gold Exchange going live and associated financial system implications. If I am not mistaken, the April 19, 2016 Shanghai Gold Exchange go live date was published by typical news sources earlier.
  17. Pretty sure the bad actors are being identified, targets locked, and cranial eruptions are about to begin. Well, just thinking out loud about viable solutions.
  18. In the article above, Abadi has spoken like a true Iraqi patriot in spite of all the immense corruption and intense opposition. Things may seem bleak but the charade of opposition to the confirmation of the technocratic cabinet, the opposition to the voting on and implementation of the reforms, and stalling of the eradication of the corrupt is likely going to come to an abrupt end and likely soon.
  19. I suspect this is a skewed and concocted history of political events in Iraq with relation to external affairs (like Yemen and Libya) by a delusional individual (Maliki). Maybe the Russians will accidentally push a wrong button or something and the missile takes down Maliki's plane he is riding back from Lebanon to Iraq. Whoopsies.
  20. I am not sure about Barzani's motives since he likely has his hands heavily into the Kurdistan oil cookie jar and any stoppage to the implementation of the new Iraqi cabinet or the successful passage of the reforms is to Barzani's benefit (potentially). Dr. Chalibi's corruption files have not been referenced lately (that I am aware of) that may contain an expansive dossier of more sordid information relating to Barzani that may just appear at a critical juncture in Barzani's future (soon).
