  1. It looks like a lot of loose ends are being wrapped up, not only as indicated from this article, but others as well.
  2. Not only is it the right policy to put forth to the international business community, it is the only policy you could promote to grow and industrialize Iraq at this time. And this is another precursor to the RV. Thank you!
  3. You really crack me up! You are assuming that everyone, or most everyone, believes or relies on these so-called "gurus". Some have been credible at some time, but after the lack of results and stories your mother would not even believe, they have been diminished. They cannot be trusted. But beyond the salactious and ridiculous, there are DV members that are studious, tenacious, and intelligent. They don't need, nor have asked for, anyone to spoon feed them information. Yes, individuals keep posting the "gurus" spouting, and it does anger some, but for most, it is laughed off for what it is. It is a form of entertainment. This is an insidious undertaking and it is difficult to stay away. But after a long day, if I cannot read anything credible or interesting, the Snookie-like posts at least keep me entertained. Lighten up, untwist your panties, put a smile on your face, and enjoy the ride. What else can you do?
  4. I would like to order one for each member of the Iraqi Parliament. Can I get a quantity discount? Do you accept 25 IQD? Wait....I would like to order two for each member of the Parliament. I am sure they will need replacements......
  5. Why did you post the very same post on the don't promote other sites????????????? I guess they are just as stupid as we are! Oh goody, there are soooo many of us. That must really irritate you. I hope so.
  6. Because what happened last night was not a rumor. The rate appeared and was later pulled down. That is not a rumor. If you would read the posts and follow the sequence of events, you would see it. A lot of DV members did a huge amount of work last night to investigate the situation. I don't even know how much work was done by boots on the ground trying to get to banks to verify. I don't know why any post regarding this situation would be in rumors.
  7. Parliament will read the Budget for the first time on Thursday. Then they are off Friday and Saturday. Back on Sunday, hopefully, for a second reading. The budget must be read three times per their law. The reason is to make adjustments. As we just saw, because of disagreements, the budget was canned, they made adjustments for the Kurds, and now the process starts again.
  8. Jordan1, you are a little fast on the draw there, partner. Obviously, you were not part of the conversation, investigation and phone calls last night. It WAS real for a short time and the DV group involved did the work and spent the time into the wee hours to finally come to a conclusion that something was not right. Did the result have anything to do with the DV group? NO! They did not just read a blog, they worked diligently phoning, investigating, analyzing. The "debunking" should come from the other side. By the way, how much work did you do to debunk the other side? But many people would have been the first ones on the band wagon if it had panned out. I bet you may have had a round trip ticket right about now.....don't forget to say thank you on the way out the door when it does happen.
  9. It is amazing the hutzpuh that these people have. Little Butterfly said that they have to play fireman and clean messes that others make. What a crock. I followed the conversations last night on DV. DV members were doing investigations and making LONG DISTANCE international phone calls to get additional information (I refuse to use the word intel any longer). What I find especially sad are the sheepl that follow these lunatics. I am not going to any other blog sites other than DV any longer. The rumors and stories used to be fun - kind of like a comic book - but not so entertaining anymore. I will go to the banking and financial sites, but that other than that, DV is the place to be. We have the best, brightest, most logical, and the most curious members. Thank you all for enlightening and educating me about this process. And it was a hell of a party last night. Special thanks to our hostess. You were a blast. Can I have another mojito now? Remember, double mint.
  10. And why not wait another week to see what the value is then. It almost takes a week to get there and back anyway. Don't be in such a hurry that you miss an even bigger opportunity. Although, it does sound like fun!
  11. Virginia, at Fox an economist is just someone that can make change.....
  12. I hear sirens.....are somebody's pants on fire......
  13. I have quesadillas and chips with fresh guacamole and salsa! Anybody for a cold Dos Equis?
  14. Now this is the kind of post I like! Almost better than an RV. Party on! Party down! Have a blast! I will have Mojiti, heavy on the mint. TY
  15. Hammy, I would like an RV asap also. But I think the Iraqis would want to go into that conference strong, and that would mean their dinar would have to be strong. Why would they go into that conference with a weak, pathetic economy as opposed to one that is strong, rich, and flourishing? Just my two cents.....
  16. I would think that they have taken more risks as well. A business like DT has a large overhead, rent, insurance, employees to deal with (hiring, training, taxes, employee problems, etc.).....buying and securing currency, etc. We put out some money, sit on a few blogs, make a few comments, read a lot, and wait and wait and wait. I see this as capitalism at its best. Let them make money. Without them, I would not be making a dime.
  17. And you are just adding to the negativity. Good job.
  18. I just have missed a lot of information. Why are we talking about dates (1-11-11) when much of the criteria has not been met: The government is not complete and not announced, the budget has not been read three times, blah, blah. 1-11-11 is just a few hours away in Iraq. Have I missed something? I read and read and read. But perhaps my late night reading left me in a blur regarding some details. Help, please.
  19. How can anyone be talking about price gouging when we may (may) see a return of 5000%. So they make a few more dollars. In the big picture, is it a big deal? Even if you cashed out at .86, you have done well. Don't forget what DT has provided. A dealer that can be trusted, has had great customer service, and that includes fast responses, not only to questions, but shipping. And you can cash your dinars back in with DT. I would rather be doing business with DT that BOA, WF, Chase, etc. The banks have raped this country out of their own greed. And you ridicule Ali for making a few extra bucks? Call BOA and ask to speak to their head foreign currency manager. I bet you cannot get him/her on the phone. Call DT and ask for Ali. You get him live. I think you should take 90% of your profit and distribute it among the Iraqi people and our soldiers that have spent time in Iraq, primarily the ones that have lost limbs and have lifetime disabilities. Maybe you will appreciate what you have been given for such a small price. Many others have paid a BIG price so you have this opportunity.
  20. First, I am not bashing you, ok....The pumpers are hoping for people to feel the anticipation and sense of urgency to run out and buy more before it is too late. Simple human nature. The pumpers are not brain surgeons. Second, before we bash our taxes (and I don't like it either) let's not forget how we got to this investment. It is because we invaded a country and have been there with the more powerful military in the world for 7-8 years, a very costly endeavor. And that has been paid for with taxes. I hope you feel a llitle better. But I know it is hard to do.
  21. I think we can all agree that greed is a powerful poison. Whether the greed be for monetary, power, psychological, or whatever reason, it very rarely has beneficial consequences.
  22. I agree with you. But even if they are not the same people, whoever they are, they can get your panties twisted if you let them. Some of these people may be valid, I don't know. But if they are just making stuff up while they are on a union break from the grocery store, that is something that makes me angry. I understand that some people are lacking emotionally and need to be a part of something. But to lie to get something for yourself, and lie to people that are looking for true information, is sick. That is a sociopath. How can you put out information that is lifting a soldier's spirits and dreams, only to let him/her down with a lie? I would call that type of action a sin. This investment is available to us stateside because of the sacrifice our soldiers have taken. How can you hype them? Right or wrong, many people have invested money they do not have in hopes that the RV would happen soon and relieve their pain. Some might be ready to lose their homes, animals have to go to the pound, kids uprooted, etc. I have read others are sick, or have a sick relative that needs help. If the information being put forth is just hype from an egomaniac, well, it is very sad. And many of these people that have wild claims, perhaps they will be right. Perhaps they have good intentions. This message is not for you. And yes, we all like get rich schemes. We love salacious rumors. It is human nature. But that does not give anyone the right to lie, pump, manipulate, and exploit us. If any group of people benefits from this RV, I hope it is our soldiers and people that are in need as a result of this economy.
  23. TJ Munson, I agree with you. Why would Sadr come back right now? Sadr and IRAN want unstability and chaos. Sadr wants people to be poor and needy. Any tyrant wants that. A and M need to move fast so that Iraqis get a taste of money, security, and peace of mind. The Iraqis will drive him out. Maybe the CIA is paying Sadr to come back so that the government will move. Who knows....but I think the timing is suspicious, but I believe it is good for us, and in turn, good for Iraq. God bless our Troops and bring them home safely....RV or no RV.
