  1. Haha Bean. You on a roll tonight, I think!!
  2. It was a tragic situation that didn’t need to take place. You can write this incident down as a suicide. The young man did not follow the police officer’s command, and came after the officer. Put yourself in that officer’s place. What would you do, let the guy get on you, perhaps carrying a weapon. It’s real easy, if an officer tells you to stop, you better stop!!!
  3. Thanks 10 years, what is their excuse this time? Their track record is horrible. They need to stop talking and just push the button. Seriously, can things get any worst in Iraq by putting some value on their money.
  4. When the “suitable environment” is reached!!! No Budget in the Gazette today?
  5. Had me a wild ride playing the market today. Shorted Nvidia, NVDA, for a nice gain then shorted Concho Oil. CXO, for most of the day. The S&P busted below the 200 ma and keep going lower. If we get below 2532 the Feb low, it’s going to get nasty. I’m also watching the 50 ma curling down and approaching the 100 ma. Tomorrow is another day but the market does not like the tariffs. FB is in a bear market and Amazon isn’t too far. The Techs have been the leadership group and with their sell off we may be getting ready to rotate into lower PE and value stocks. We are in a correction but not a bear market, not yet. Good luck to you all in your stock investments.
  6. The small archipelago Gulf state is surrounded by oil-producing giants, but its own production has been very limited. A more detailed analysis of the find's content, size and extraction viability has begun. The tiny Arab Kingdom of Bahrain announced Sunday that it had made its largest oil discovery in decades, and perhaps ever. "Initial analysis demonstrates the find is at substantial levels, capable of supporting the long-term extraction of tight oil and deep gas," Bahrain's Minister of Oil, Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al-Khalifa said in a statement. Tight oil is a type of oil found in impermeable shale and limestone rock deposits. Also known as shale oil, tight oil is processed into gasoline, diesel, and jet fuels in the same way as conventional oil, but is extracted using hydraulic fracturing, or "fracking." The oil and gas deposit off Bahrain Island's west coast "is understood to dwarf Bahrain's current reserves," the Bahrain News Agency (BNA) reported on Sunday, but without giving detailed figures. Unlike its closest neighbors — Saudi Arabia and Qatar — Bahrain is not a major oil producer and ranks 57th on the US Energy Information Administration's world list. The Gulf state covers an area slightly smaller than the five boroughs of New York City, currently pumps around 45,000 barrels per day (bpd) and more than 1 billion cubic feet (28 million cubic meters) of natural gas daily from its one onshore Bahrain Field. It obtains a further 150,000 bpd from the offshore Abu Safa oilfield, which it shares in equal measure with Saudi Arabia. Bahrain is the only GCC country that is not a member of OPEC. By contrast, nearby Qatar produces 1.5 million bpd. Despite its modest output, Bahrain generates about 80 percent of its revenues from oil. There was no word on an expected start date for production. More details are expected on Wednesday. http://www.dw.com/en/bahrain-strikes-oil-in-biggest-find-since-1932/a-43221618
  7. I don’t know about a cottontail, looks like an ass clone to me.
  8. What did Trump call them, a bunch thieves? Time to drain the Iraqi swamp and go after the corrupt officials.
  9. Two new border crossings with Saudi Arabia have been opened, Businessmen Union revealed on Sunday. In a statement, a member of the union Majid Ouda asserted that these border crossings will increase the goods exchange between the two countries. He added that the recent rapprochement with Saudi Arabia have encouraged the opening of two new border crossings, Jamimah and Arar. He noted that goods exchange in these border crossings will come very soon after properly preparing them. Ouda further stated that these border crossings will also be used in transporting pilgrims and in goods exchange. http://www.iraqnow.news/articles/10849-Goods-exchange-comes-to-2-new-Saudi-Iraq-border-
  10. You think I’m kidding about the IHOP in Baghdad, DineEquity Inc., which owns the IHOP chain of restaurants, said Monday it plans to open 40 new IHOP stores in the Middle East with Kuwait-based franchiser M.H. Alshaya Co. in its first major expansion outside of the U.S. The restaurants will begin to open over the next 12 months in Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Lebanon, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Bahrain and Egypt. No financial terms were disclosed. http://m.naharnet.com/stories/en/8790-ihop-to-expand-in-the-middle-east-including-lebanon Of course I’m joking around, I’m in a good mood today. I’m practicing my techniques in non drooling so I can pass the cash in test.
  11. I forgot to write that Chuck, it is obvious and an absolute no brainer. There will be an increase in the value of the Iraqi Dinar. I’m thinking we get a small increase and an upward float as the Dinar becomes international ( right after IHOP announces the new restaurant to be opened in Baghdad). As more investment money comes into Iraq the value increase over a number of years. What I want is a 1-1 and cash out and move to Maui!!!!!!
  12. Thank you PP. Happy Easter to you and all DV readers
  13. 14 new taxes after the budget gets ratified. What do you think will happen if there is not an increase in value of the Dinar!, Thats correct, rioting, anarchy, off with the politicians heads. Remember when we were wondering if there would even be an increase in value. All we are debating now is when and at what the value of the Dinar will be!!! i am really hoping this happens in the next few weeks. The news is very encouraging.
  14. That’s funny NEPat Haven’t you heard there is a mental stability and drooling test at cash in. If you go to the bank and are drooling or babbling about being rich you are out the door. I think Adam has that in his Cash in Guide, chapter 6. Haha
  15. I agree with you Yota. It’s all about stability, Iraq is ravished with war and bad actors. (ISIS, corrupt politicians). i also believe if this is to be a world wide monetary reset then all the ducks need to be lined up and ready. No doubt Iraq is almost ready. Let’s see what this week brings but keep in mind we have an election ( more stability if it goes the way it is supposed to go) and Ramadan starting May 16th.
  16. Just another ho hum statement from the CBI. “The reform carried out by the Central Bank, based on three axes, the first close the exchange rate gap, Carrying out financial inclusion and settling salaries and the third related to the process of technical development within the banking system”. Sounds good, let’s see it in the gazette, and push the button.
  17. When the International House Of Pancakes opens up in Baghdad we will have our RV!!
  18. PARIS, France – Fuad Hussein, chief of staff to the Kurdistan Region presidency, predicts Kurds will lose 13-14 seats in the Iraqi parliamentary elections as a result of losing the disputed areas. Hussein, however, also predicts Kurds will once again take the post of Iraqi president, as has been the case since 2005. After taking part in a conference on the role of Kurds following the defeat of ISIS, Hussein told Rudaw that the takeover of the disputed areas by Baghdad since October 16 will considerably limit Kurdish parties’ movements and campaigns for election. “Problems exist in the disputed areas which mean the Kurdistan political parties cannot easily launch their campaigns and naturally the elections will be controlled by some people,” Hussein told Rudaw, referring to Iraqi forces who have taken control of Kirkuk and other disputed areas. “Thus I predict Kurds will lose a number of seats in the disputed areas, roughly 13 or 14 seats,” he said. Kurdish political parties currently hold 63 seats in Baghdad, he added. Of this number, the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) holds the most – 25 seats. It is followed by the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), which holds 21. The remaining seats are held by other Kurdish parties. Although it will be damaging for Kurds, “the Shiite parties also are not united as they run on different lists,” said Hussein. “This means Kurds, as a bloc [in parliament], will remain a giant force. Even if they secure 50 seats, they are still influential.” “It may become the second or third biggest side in the Iraqi parliament,” he claimed. Forging alliances for the formation of the government is what really matters, he said, stressing that Kurds cannot be excluded. “It is very unlikely for a government to be established without Kurds involved,” he said. “It will not become a perfect government.” “If Kurds become united in Baghdad, they will become an influential bloc,” he added. Commenting on the makeup of the top three jobs, Hussein said it has become an established custom that Sunnis get the parliamentary speaker, Shiites the office of prime minister, and Kurds the presidency. “I believe this system will remain as such,” he predicted. The post of the president has been held by Kurds, and members of the PUK, since 2005. In April 2005, the late PUK leader Jalal Talabani became president. In 2010 he was re-elected for a second term, serving until he fell ill in December 2012. The current president, Fuad Masum, assumed the position in 2014. http://www.rudaw.net/mobile/english/middleeast/iraq/310320182
  19. A source in the Anbar province, Saturday, the entry of 800 trucks loaded with goods to the province through the port of Trebil, west of Ramadi today. The source said in an interview that “800 Iraqi trucks loaded with goods and other materials crossed today from the port of Trebil to the city of Ramadi.” The source, who asked not to be named, said that “this is the first time that the large number of trucks from the port of Trebil to Ramadi four years ago,” pointing out that “the international road in front of the movement of passengers and trucks loaded with goods.” It is noteworthy that the port of Trebil border was reopened last year after a three-year hiatus because of the control of ISIS on the international road west of Anbar at the time. http://en.economiciraq.com/2018/03/31/800-truckloads-of-goods-entered-anbar-through-the-port-of-trebil-today/
