  1. Shabs put a code in the Letters of intent to the IMF. It's much like the Bible Code. I have a super secret source who has been cracking the rate and date for almost 6 months now and it appears as though the rate is 2.37 and the date will be the first week of March.
  2. or possibly it's that people go to bed praying the INFO from the day before is right only to have those hopes dashed upon waking. For me checking the site before heading to another day of work has become routine as I've had dinar since Nov 03. I wake up, check news and sites then head to work. I come home check news and sites then continue with my evening. Just a thought...
  3. Quad and Pops nailed it, this has nothing to do with the RV, but it is positive news as there was a surplus from last year due to oil prices being higher than expected and accounted for in 2010 budget.

    Pretty slow

I'm also sticking with the hope of the RV 'by' July 2011.... I'll watch everything between now and the RV as I have for almost 7 yrs, but I will stay sane in the meantime.
  5. Thursday was a holiday, Friday and Saturday is their weekend... nothing quite yet to read into

    RV 2011

I do have to admit it makes me laugh a little bit when I go back and read posts from this exact time last year... seems the only thing that changes in the 6+yrs I've held my dinar is the year itself.... Yes there have been positive strides, just as there were this time last year and the year before that... Don't quit your jobs, don't buy more than you can afford to lose and just wait patiently...
  8. Absolutely the best and most factual post yet!!! Phenomenal!!!! Seriously can't stop laughing.... Thank you!
  9. MUST be a smokescreen!!! lol

  14. once again, this document has been posted, reviewed and discussed in a previous thread. 32. The lack of data and large structural changes in the Iraqi economy preclude any meaningful estimation of the equilibrium real exchange rate. A very crude assessment suggests that the dinar is broadly in line with fundamentals.4 With the drop in oil prices, it appears that a possible prior undervaluation has disappeared, and that the dinar could even be somewhat overvalued. The relative low levels of headline and core inflation, however, do not suggest any significant deviation from the equilibrium real effective exchange rate. Moreover, as oil revenues are expected to rise substantially over the medium- to longer term, the equilibrium real exchange rate is likely to rise as well. More importantly, a nominal depreciation could undermine confidence in the dinar, destabilize expectations, lead to increased dollarization, and reignite inflation, reversing the hard-won gains made in recent years. The CBI therefore intends to continue to keep the exchange rate stable, but will consult with staff if its reserves were to fall significantly below the program targets.. 55. Staff supports the CBI’s intention to continue to manage the exchange rate with a view to keeping inflation under control. Although difficult to assess, the exchange rate appears to be broadly in line with fundamentals, taking into account the expected increase in oil production. Moreover, a strong and stable currency provides a solid anchor for the public’s expectations. The CBI should continue to keep a close watch on inflation and be ready to raise the policy interest rate if core inflation were to pick up again. http://www.imf.org/external/pubs/ft/scr/2010/cr1072.pdf The problem with this document, in my opinion is that in one paragraph it reads like a LOP, in the next it could be an RV... Personally I just can't make heads or tails of it.

Policies and mechanisms of government bodies can be painful and long. As of this morning, to finalize the resolution rate of the value of our currency, has been delayed, because they simply can not. Agreement with the International Monetary Fund has given the country in Iraq is not more than 10 days to make this final. I think this is the 10 days being referenced not the 110

  17. honestly Im not. I am however an individual that isnt afraid to research all possibilities without screaming SMOKESCREEN if it isn't what I want to see...

  20. In my opinion, I'd rather have the whole picture versus half. I do take the LOP article serious but that doesn't mean I think the LOP is a definite, just another of many possibilities. The fact does remain however, that many more LOP articles are coming out over RV articles... From a news source perspective anyway. I agree with you wholeheartedly FDyer and would much prefer the fairy dust and cloud dancing but reality is going to get me further LOL...
  21. Sadly, ClydeDriver, you have nailed it on the head. That said, I still make a nice lil profit and no crocodile tears from me... Plan for the worst, Hope for the best!
  22. Spruills, I will back you 100% all your posts are usually skeptical and sarcastic at best! I know because I luv em! Thanks again for passing on the intel! Much better imo coming from someone like yourself who is usually skeptical imo
