I don't think people mean to be cruel, but there is a lot of tension. I think a lot of people are hurting now; the US is in bad financial straits, and a lot of people wanted or needed the RV and expected it to happen before now. So you see frustration and anger when something is posted that people don't want to see. I got negative marks for asking people to stop picking on Possum. He means no harm; he's just trying to liven up the place in his own way, but I do understand the tension and how it can lead to frustration.

If you don't like his posts don't read them, but some of us love his humor. Without some humor around here this would be a dreary place.

It won't happen during Ramadan not because the country shuts down, but because its a month of prayer and prayerful responses. To do anything that suggests greed or excessive profit during Ramadan is frowned upon....or at least that has been my understanding of Ramadan since long before I heard of an RV.

Its not healthy if you believe the rumors. I believe the dinar will eventually increase in value. I would like that to happen suddenly, but it might just slowly increase over time. Either way, I disregard the rumors but check in occasionally to see how the investment is doing. Thats the only way you can hang onto this investment for years and not let it make you crazy.

I am a Republican, but Obama was voted into office and until he is voted out of that office he is MY president. And I am heartily sick of people slandering My president. When he is out of office he can take care of himself, but right now I want him to focus on the business of my country, not on these incessant digs at his religion, his country of birth, or the dozens of other accusations that people throw his way. If you want him out of office, do it in the voting booth, not by slander. Its small and demeaning and vicious and not worthy of Americans.

Alabama is my home. I'm headed over there tomorrow. Family is all OK, but many friends of family are hurt or dead. The stories coming out of there are horrific. Many people still missing. Emergency services stretched too thin.

The US is not going down, whether Iraq revalues its currency or not. We would all like for it to happen, me included, but its a matter of LIKE not NEED. For what its worth, business is beginning to show signs of life again. We will make it through this.
