lauracaz
I got into a snit and shredded my dinars. I still have all the strips of paper in a plastic bag. If I glue them back together, can I still cash them in? (You can do this with US currency).Do you make it common practice to snit and shred? Watif
One website I read said that if the bills are mutilated they will not be accepted. (Seriously, I read this.) The good news is that that info it came from a dinar site. So you're probably safe!

akita
Hello again! I read on the Bank of America website under the 'Foreign Exchange' policy listings that the bank will not accept torn or multilated currency in exchange.I don't think the De La Rue machine might be able to verify these notes correctly. I am still believing this is a practical joke to get a 'rise' out of people and not a serious intent to vent your rage and possibly harm your financial future. If I glue them back together, can I still cash them in? (You can do this with US currency). Two quick things. One, be glad that you didn't use a cross cut type of shredder,or you're only hope would have been to take them to a retirementhome and hope that the elderly puzzle fanatics could put themback together. And two, instead of using backing paper, try a laminating machine.Just lay the strips on the table and laminateover them... USNA67
I have been working like a dog on this: about half done. I have a new problem; the glue warps the base paper so it is not flat anymore. It has waves and wrinkles. I am putting it under a sun lamp to see if that will flatten it out. PuffsPlus
DO NOT put DONG in shredder. I sure hope this is just silly humor and not a real situation. Good Grief!

Personally I would have sold them back and got some money for them instead of destroying them I cant believe you would really do this no matter what sort of mood you would be in. I hope you have some good ones left. I don't like your chances of fixing them and having them excepted but you might as well try. You have nothing to lose nowJust my opinion

USNA67
I was not angry or depressed-I was in a "snit": a period of poor judgment, like when I bought a 1970 Maverick, or married my first wife. No was else was involved.Actually, I did this after Butterfly told me my dinars are worthless because they have Saddam's picture on them. (I have turned his picture down on the base paper).
