SULAIMANI — The government of Iraq is ready to pay full salaries of the Kurdistan Region’s employees if Erbil provided Baghdad with its oil revenue, a spokesman said.

Speaking to NRT Arabic channel on Monday night (March 19), Iraqi government’s spokesman Saad Hadithi said Baghdad is abided by paying a portion of employees’ salaries while the rest would be covered by the Kurdish government from its oil sales.

“The portion sent to [the Kurdistan Region] with the region’s oil sales is enough to provide full salaries of the Kurdistan Region’s employees,” Hadithi said.

“Our agreement with Erbil is that salaries of the Kurdistan Region’s employees must be paid in full,” he added.

Iraqi government has provided the Kurdistan Region with more than 317 billion Iraqi dinars (($267 million) to pay salaries of public servants from the KRG ministries including the Peshmerga ministry.

KRG Ministry of Finance and Economic Affairs said on Sunday that 900 billion Iraqi dinars is needed to provide full salaries of public servants, while only 590 billion IQD is needed to pay employees’ salaries with payment withholding system.

Salaries for KRG employees have been plagued by delays since 2014 and Kurdish authorities have repeatedly said they cannot make payments due to the crises affecting the region.

KRG announced in early 2016 that it would cut government employee salaries by 15 to 75 percent, depending on position and salary bracket, as part of austerity measures to deal with the ongoing economic crisis.

The Iraqi government on Wednesday called on the government of Erbil to hand over financial revenues from the sale of oil in the Kurdistan region to ensure the fairness of the distribution of salaries of employees, stressing that they followed a clear mechanism and transparency in the delivery of salaries of employees of Kurdistan.
"The central government has followed a clear and transparent mechanism to hand over the salaries of regional employees, which is equivalent to the salaries of the federal employee," said Saad al-Hadithi, spokesman for the media office of Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi.
Al-Hadithi said that "Baghdad sent a sufficient amount to fill the shortfall in the salaries of employees audited by the federal government," noting that "any failure to hand over salaries of employees of Kurdistan and imperfectly borne by the government of Arbil because it did not deal with the file in a transparent manner."
The Office of Abadi said on Monday that the remaining funds to pay the salaries of the region's employees is the burden of the territorial government paid by the oil exports, which did not pay to Baghdad, indicating that the central government paid its equivalent in accordance with the principle of equality.

Baghdad Mawazine News

Kurdish Movement for Change confirmed Wednesday that after sending a sum of money by the federal government, there is no reason to keep the salaries of the employees.

"On the occasion of Nowruz, we send a congratulatory message to the Kurdish people and the peoples of the region," the movement said in a statement received by Mawazine News. "We hope that Nawrawz will be a good and joyful opportunity to achieve peace and end problems and obstacles."

She added that "this year's Nawruz festival for the Kurdish people is full of challenges and fears, and the countries of the region offered the Kurdish people for an undesirable war and that the occupation of the city of Afrin and the displacement of its citizens is one of the scenes that have saddened the Kurds and forced them to establish funerals instead of celebrating the Eid."

The movement pointed out that "the setbacks suffered by the Kurdish people throughout history were temporary, and soon the Kurds were sent back to regain strength to return to the field again."

She added that "at the level of the Kurdistan region and because of the failed policy pursued by the authorities, citizens were exposed to the worst economic species," explaining that "after sending a sum of money by the federal government, did not remain before the Kurdistan Regional Government any argument to save the salaries of employees."

The change confirmed "its support for all demands of the staff of the ministries of education, health and other ministries," demanding "disclosure of internal imports and imports of oil and contracts and the content of the agreement between the federal government and the Government of the Territory."

Barzani, addressing the Iraqi people: We will remain brothers .. And Kurdistan is not on the brink of disaster

Barzani, addressing the Iraqi people: We will remain brothers .. And Kurdistan is not on the brink of disaster

 Twilight News

"The political situation in the country and the relations between governments will not affect the brotherly relations," Kurdistan Region President Nechirvan Barzani said Tuesday in a letter to him on the occasion of the Norouz holiday.

Below is the text of Barzani's message on the occasion of the Norouz holidays

Dear Kurds, Eid Mubarak

Greetings and respect and love of the people of Kurdistan, both young and old, bless Nawruz and the New Year for every Kurd wherever he is in this world.

The Noruz flame has been a symbol of freedom throughout the history of our fathers and forefathers and the loss of every Kurd for the rest of his life. So the night of Norouz and its burning flame, as well as being a symbol of freedom, symbolize the advancement of the nation and the renewed struggle and struggle. Spirits, tears and precious lives, what made us the generations that followed, we see only one way, a way to continue until victory.

In Nowruz, the spirit of advancement and steadfastness returned to the Kurds and the struggle was resumed and continued after the most setbacks.

Every year, Norouz represents the entire Kurdish nation and every individual Kurd, beginning to strengthen and renew the will of victory, and to represent our ancestors the symbol of resistance and subjugation, even if they sometimes fail because of the unequal balance of power. But in Nowruz, And the belief in the inevitability of success.

I would like to say confidently and confidently that the history of Kurdistan today, and more than ever before, is in the process of labor for a new birth, and that the Kurdish liberation movement and the Kurdistan authority have reached a stage where they can not be eliminated because this power is the fruit of the Peshmerga struggle and the steadfastness of the people of Kurdistan.

Kurdistan is not on the brink of disaster, as some imagine, but through a proper internal dialogue, and by uniting our ranks, we can move forward with Kurdistan and move closer to a more prosperous and prosperous future.

The Kurdistan Region, because of the war, and the lack of internal political consensus, and political differences with Baghdad, and because of the economic crisis in the world, faced great difficulties, was the worst Baghdad since 2014 to cut the share of the Kurdistan Region of the budget. The economic problem was the hardest of course, but I would like to assure you that the economic situation will return to normal, and thanks to your cooperation and steadfastness, all things will return to normal. Your suffering and your sorrows make me feel sad from the bottom of my heart. But I have no doubt that this difficult economic situation can be overcome.

On this day, on the day of Nowruz, our hearts are wailing and failing to commemorate those heroes who sacrificed their lives in defense of Kurdistan, a tribute to their pure lives, a tribute to their wives, children, mothers, fathers and loved ones, and they will stay with us and in our hearts forever.

I salute the Ezidian brothers and brothers who made the greatest sacrifices in a war of war and suffered the most aches. Besides Halabja, Sinjar became a crown at the top of the history of our people full of sacrifices. It is true that our wounds and pain in Sinjar are very deep, but we are very confident that these wounds and pains are the nucleus of freedom and a more glamorous future for the Yazidis and for all the people of Kurdistan.

My greetings and warm greetings to the displaced people of Kirkuk, Sinjar, Makhmour, Khanaqin and other areas, and to the children of the disputed areas, Eid Mubarak for the Faily Kurds, the Kakais and the Shabak, whose national and national feeling today, with the burning of the Noruz flame, is more intense than any other day. Living in the Kurdistan Region, I hope that they can soon return to home soon McLaren with dearest and lofty.

A tribute to the Turkmen and Christians of Kurdistan, whose cooperation, participation and steadfastness in defending Kurdistan deserve all respect and respect.

Greetings to the Arab brothers living in the Kurdistan Region, and on this day we say to all national and religious components, that we have always been committed to peaceful coexistence and equality in the Kurdistan Region.

On this day, I salute Peshmerga Kurdistan heroes, who are willing to sacrifice their lives in defense of the blessed land of Kurdistan. Greetings to Asayish forces, police and traffic police and all the forces of the interior and security institutions in Kurdistan, who protect the superiority and dedication of the security and stability of the people of Kurdistan.

I also take this opportunity to greet the brotherly Iraqi people. I say to them: Whatever the political situation in the country and how relations between governments are, we will remain brothers forever. Iraq has enormous natural and human resources, and we are confident that by solving basic political problems and improving the country's situation and management, Iraq will go toward the prosperity that the Iraqi people aspire to.

I salute all the neighboring peoples of Kurdistan. I take this opportunity to emphasize that the struggle of Kurdistan in Iraq has not and will not pose any danger or threat to any country. On the contrary, the success of the people of Kurdistan in Iraq will not return to their neighbors except with good and send messages of peace and reassurance to all peoples. And we assure them that we are a stabilizing factor in the region.

In conclusion, I bless the feast of Nowruz for all the peoples that celebrate it. On the occasion of Norouz we extend our thanks and appreciation to all the countries, peoples and personalities that respect the will and security of the people of Kurdistan and greetings to all the consulates and organizations that have helped the government and the people of Kurdistan during the past years.

Once again, I would like to congratulate everyone on the holiday of Nowruz and the new Kurdish year. I call on the citizens to preserve the cleanliness of the environment and the nature of Kurdistan during their trips and festivities and I recommend them to abide by traffic regulations for their safety.

Once again, Norouz blessed you all, and wish you a happy holiday ..

"Before and after the referendum, we have repeatedly said that the aim of the referendum is to achieve peace and end all problems with Baghdad, and we have expressed our readiness to resolve all issues peacefully," Barzani said in a congratulatory message on the occasion of the Norouz holiday.

He added that "some of the Iraqi authorities at the beginning were understanding of our right to the referendum, but unfortunately they showed their hostility to the Kurdish people and their rights and invested the referendum for political purposes."

"They imposed the sanctions and imposed the siege on Kurdistan and used war and violence to silence the voice of our people calling for peace, did they understand the lesson and realized that the war does not lead to an outcome and does not solve any problem?"

Barzani welcomed the "steps and the recent opening between Baghdad and Erbil," calling on Baghdad to "respect the partnership and the Constitution."

Barzani expressed his dissatisfaction with "the parties within Kurdistan were determined to hold the referendum and now they will be sorry for him unfortunately .. The referendum was not a crime, but a legitimate right of the people of Kurdistan and the result of injustice and blow up the partnership by Baghdad."

US magazine: Washington used to abandon the Kurds after using their interests

From 2018-03-21 at 16:17 (Baghdad time)

 Follow - Mawazine News

The United States has used to abandon the Kurds after using its interests, while the United States called for "the withdrawal of its troops from Syria, rather than pursuing a failed plan," the American Conservative newspaper reported.

"Washington has implicitly agreed to the withdrawal of Kurds from their areas, and the direction towards the other bank of the Euphrates River, which means another liquidation of the only remaining allies of America in Syria."

It would be wrong for the United States to support a Kurdish state and military power along the Turkish border, and the Kurds were not supposed to hope that America's moral concern Towards which their broader foreign policy objectives are based ".

"Last year, Kurdish authorities realized that America would not challenge the governments of Iran or Iraq and Turkey to protect Kurdistan after a referendum on the independence of the region." Years ago, Washington kissed Ankara (which would not even recognize the Kurds as a separate people) ), In order to launch a brutal campaign against separatists in response.

According to the magazine, the elimination of a pundit provided an opportunity for the administration to declare victory and bring US troops home. Syria has never been important to America, and today is more important to its neighbors and to Russia. While the civil war in Syria represents a humanitarian tragedy, arrangements for it will not affect the balance of power in the Middle East, dominated by Washington and its allies.

It is better for America to stop wasting resources, not for a specific and useful purpose, except to pump weapons and troops into the distant Syrian fringes, according to the American Conservative.

Instead, the Trump administration decided to keep some 2,000 troops in northern Syria. The US president has justified these plans as helpful in forming a necessary border force to prevent a resurgent resurgence, but appears to be an unnecessary force in the presence of Syrian, Turkish, Iranian, Russian and opposition forces. It is unlikely that he will become an advocate of something like al-Qaeda, a transnational terrorist organization, especially since it was only a fake state.

Contrary to what the US president says, the magazine refers to the confessions of US officials that they were embarking on other tasks that proved to be fictitious and illegitimate, occupying nearly a quarter of Syria's territory to force Assad to give up power, drive the Iranians out of the country and pressure Russia to support America's political goals. The mainstay of Washington for the implementation of that ambitious plan was the Kurdish People's Protection Units, or YPG, which was the basis of Syria's democratic forces.

According to the magazine, Washington thought Ankara would bow to the creation of a well-armed Kurdish state at its borders. But that was imagination-making. Turkey has always dealt badly with the Kurds, a move by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan when he began fighting again, in 2015 with the aim of achieving political gains. Last autumn, Ankara punished Kurdistan for its government's referendum on the independence of the province.

After the Kurds realized that Washington would abandon them after Turkish forces entered Syria, they sought a rapprochement with Damascus, which sent troops to help fight the Turks, the magazine said.

The American Conservative called on the US administration to withdraw its troops from Syria instead of pursuing a failed plan, especially after President Trump declared victory in the war on a thief.
