A massive military operation has been launched to trace ISIS terrorists in eastern Baqubah, Commander of Tigris Operations, Major General Mazhar al-Azzawi, said Tuesday. 

He added that forces of Tigris Operations and Federal police forces, backed by Iraqi army's warplanes, have joined this operation to chase ISIS terrorists in nine villages in eastern Baqubah.

Four hundred ISIS terrorists have turned themselves in to Peshmerga forces in al-Dibis district in Kirkuk Governorate, a military source revealed Tuesday. 

The source said all ISIS terrorists, who turned themselves in to Peshmerga forces, are from Hawija who fled the city as battles intensify.  

ISIS terrorists were moved to safe areas located outside Kirkuk Governorate in order to be interrogated by Kurdish forces, he noted.

 

ISIS families were transferred to camps controlled by the Iraqi Army in al-Qayyarah neighborhood in southern Mosul, he added. 

On Saturday, it was reported that hundreds of ISIS families turned themselves in to Peshmerga forces in Hawija. 
Currently, cities of Qa’im and Rawah in western Anbar are under ISIS’ control.

At least 11 civilians have been killed in a bomb explosion in the western Iraqi city of Hit in Anbar province.

 

Local officials said another 15 people were injured in the blast that targeted a café on Wednesday night.

 

Following the attack, security services imposed a curfew in the region, the Iraqi News website reported.

 

According to the United Nations Assistance Mission in Iraq (UNAMI), 196 civilians were killed, while another 381 were injured due to violence and armed conflicts in September.
