The National Alliance delegation visits to the Kurdistan region is not a goal to talk about the independence of the Kurdistan region or separation, but about national reconciliation, and thus poses a lot of things, including if it does not reach a substantial agreement in the rebuilding of the Iraqi state, it would be independence, the best solution to the state, and thus end the problems fully.

Yota Thanks,  DV, GOI & KRG & National Alliance Please come together and make final agreements that lead to positive results for all Iraqis.  Give a little take a little but the results should be what's best overall for Iraq so the citizens & country can move forward in a positive manner.  Sooner that later!!

Yota Thanks, DV, Again I do not see KRG to be fully independent in the near term however some concessions can be made in regards to territory.

Independent is probably the last outstanding issue, they had salaries issues it fix, they had territorial issue, which should be wrap up with Mosul, they had oil transparency issue it internationally fix..the only thing left is this subject of Independence which is what headlines....wait for it...it coming...

So are you just talking about independence from Iraq? Or are you talking about becoming their own country? I only ask because I value your opinion highly. Also I find it hard to believe that they can become their own country anytime soon.

The Kurds will always be a part of Iraq it in the Constitution,  Becoming one own country requires many issue especially a central bank with reserve which they don't have, it would take another decade to do that. More then likely it part of dividing Iraq up into 3 parts...all this is IMO

No realistic moves on Kurdish independence, Premier Ibadi

Baghdad/ Iraq TradeLink: Iraqi Premier Haidar al-Ibadi stated that "the question of Kurdish

independence was not put on the table politically with the Kurdish leaders".

"I heared from the Kurdish leader that this question belongs to the Kurds and there are no realistic moves for this direction", he added.

In his weekly press report, he pointed Iraqi trust of its ability to liberate the right side of Mosul city and other areas in "no time", pointing that Da'ish (ISIS) organization lost its powers and the mission to liberate Mosul city is a lesser one, in comparison  with other previous military missions.

He criticized "false" news that aimed at weakening Iraqi war and governmental stands.
