Approval on listing a number of companies at Iraqi Stock Exchange

Iraqi Securities Commission has approved to list a number of companies at Iraqi Stock Exchange as follows:

  1. Al-Noor Financial Transfer Company.
  2. Al-Nibal Al-Arabia Financial Transfer Company.
  3. Al-Nubala’a Financial Transfer Company.
  4. Al-Rabita Financial Transfer Company.
  5. Al-Luoluaa Financial Transfer Company.
  6. Al-Manafea Financial Transfer Company.
  7. Al-Nahr Al-Khaled Financial Transfer Company.
  8. Al-Moataman Financial Transfer Company.
  9. Al-Wael Financial Transfer Company.

 

ISX'ers check out the last two day's posts. See Trinityexchanges from today and yesterday. We might have 2 New Sectors listing on the ISX with 17 new money transfer companies and/or financial transfer companies.

This looks like two new sectors that have been approved. Money Transfer and Financial Transfer companies.

yes it is very interesting.  opening up for backers - at this point this tells me they feel they need money to help them grow...hmmmm...(obviously...lol)  i have to wonder because investment law 13 of 2006 has a section pertaining to the isx (as we know) and it's had a second amendment prepared - yet this happened..

THE GAZETTE HAS TAKEN THIS LAW DOWN RECENTLY - BUT LAST I CHECKED, ALMOST A MONTH AGO..THE MIN AND MAX CAPS HAD BEEN GREATLY INCREASED...HERE'S SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT - WHY IS THIS COM ANNOUNCEMENT STATING THAT THIS DEAL WITH, "Nasiriyah General Trading and Contracting Company WLL (Kuwaiti nationality)" HAS BEEN GRANTED AN INVESTMENT LICENSE, IF THIS LAW WAS NOT "SOLID" ENOUGH TO SERVE AS A BASIS FOR THIS DEAL? There are a couple of possibilities I noted on this thread or the other concerning the 2 new sectors. Previous articles stated that some State entities might also participate in the Bourse. Now the question still remains in what these new companies will do. What will be the difference between the Money Transfer Companies and the Financial Transfer Companies.

This is serious good news. Thanks Moneysoon and TrinityExchange. Fearless researchers. I look forward to investing in Iraq after the RV. Yes, I know the time to get in it was yesterday... but it's not do-able for me at this point. The country will be a fine investment after the RV, as well...

It is so good to see you.

 

I didn't see your message but I am glad the you saw my message and I am happy to see you back.  I am on vacation in Disneyland and it is a nice change from WI.  We are headed back early tomorrow morning.

We were down in Carlsbad for a couple of days at Legoland.  I knew that you were about an hour from LA but I couldn't remember which direction.  I LOVE CA!  When the IQD, I am wintering in So Cal!  :)

The ISX was down again today.  The index now sits at 67.51 and has lost about 35% of it's value in the past couple of months.  Perhaps a precursor to what will happen to other markets around the world soon. 

 

I believe values are right to buy at this point, with the exception being Iraq is so darn difficult to figure out.  Even though there is a potential huge upside to the ISX, just like any thing else concerning the IQD, only invest what you can afford to lose !

I hear you coorslite. For me the ultimate question is "will the ISX rebound?". To answer that question I have to look away from the ISX and answer it indirectly. Will invester confidence return to the bourse? I believe it will if the economy rebounds. Are there any strong indicators that the economy will grow? TONS! We are reading it everyday in the news as countries continue to pour investment into Iraq and send armaments to insure it's stability.

We have yet to begin to realize any of the bourse's potential because it hasn't yet been proliferated. Once these custodian banks come online, only then will we see what the ISX is made of. Until then we patiently wait and snap up profits where we can. Knowing that there will be an explosion take place.

Investors getting in now won't lose out because the bourse is at rock bottom. The only way you lose is if the market is administratively removed.

I am in Appleton.  I will say that I enjoy reading your posts, Moneysoon.

 

I have frequented there a couple of times when I was taking classes at Marian. I am down near the Mars Cheese Castle. There is a wonderful little Cigar Smoke Shop I enjoy in Appleton. I stop by there when I visit. I may some fishing trips up that way once the ice breaks.
