Wow, talk about reading between the lines. It looks like Iraq is doing its part at satisfying the debt to K, but I take it that Moon isn't looking at letting them off the hook for a while. However, on the other hand, Iraq, as I read it, is making another payment to K the 26th of July in the amount of $3+BILLION, making the total mentioned here around $5billion +. So PERHAPS that will be enough good faith for the UN to go ahead and release them of the CH 7. dry.gif:huh:

We can only wait and see. But it seems to me to be good news here...with the exception that it could be as late as 2015...

Thanks for info Yota!.

Hey we all are praying that this ride will end in a rv in January 2013, which would include release from Chapter 7. I don't like it that Ki-moon is saying that he will complete compensation to Kuwait in 2015. So what does 2015 mean? Does it mean that GOI won't be released from Chap 7 until 2015 when it pays its debt to Kuwait? Does it mean that this investment won't payout till 2015?

Actually, I think Moon is telling Iraq, if you want to get off CH7, then your only choice is to pay this off, in full, and be done with it, then Moon and the UN will remove Iraq from CH7.

Iraq has the money to payoff Kuwait and Ban-Kai Moon knows this. Iraq has cried poor far too long while corruption has wasted billions of Dollars. How many Billions does Iraq have in bank accounts globally? Iraq is not fooling anybody who is in the know about what they are worth. IMO
