Baghdad: Seminar on “the situation in Iraq as seen by the donor community”

The Iraqi government called the United Nations and donor countries to

continue to support Iraq economically until the completion of

rebuilding state institutions.

He said Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki in a speech at a symposium on

“the situation in Iraq as seen by the donor community” organized by

the advisers Saturday in Baghdad, said: “document the situation in

Iraq set by the donor countries will be a reference to the Iraqi

government in the design of programs and projects, in partnership with

the international community, for the implementation of reform in all

areas.

The document issued by the United Nations, the World Bank, the group

of donor countries to Iraq, two key axes: the first is on how to help

Iraq in the areas of public policy and economic challenges and the

fight against corruption, as it focused the second axis on the issues

of human rights, strengthening civil liberties, and to ensure media

freedom.

The representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in

Iraq, Ad Melkert that Iraq must take into account several issues for

the advancement of the country, including activating the government of

national partnership, and respect for freedoms and human rights, and

the provision of services to citizens.

He also said Melkert to partner with Iraq is ready to support the

Government in processing and integration of more than 1.5 million

people displaced inside Iraq, and hundreds of thousands of Iraqis who

have fled to neighboring countries, pointing to the need for the Iraqi

government, strengthening the role of the private sector and give him

a greater opportunity to rebuild country.

And Bob called on Arab, regional director for the Middle East and

North Africa in the World Bank, part of the Iraqi government to the

need to rely on new financial resources other than those derived from

oil revenues, if Iraq wants to develop its economy and increase

growth.

Ok, I figure this is what happened ....

If you look at the rate page it states the following:

VND Vietnam (:1000) 1.08 1.63

Their currency calculator did not take this into account and did not divide by 1000.

thanks for the post....i hope they are right.....i have spent hundreds of hours on the computer following all the rumors......i keep telling myself sooner or later someone will nail the RV with correct rumor......but i can honestly say this rumor on my scale doesn't excite me.compared to the past like some bank rumor, etc.......at one time we were just waiting for a screen to give us the rate......i will keep my fingers crossed......

Again, It's Sunday in Iraq and almost mid-night, nothing significant has happened today in Iraq.

Another waiting period is over---- we start looking to tomorrow (Monday) and the rest of the week.

We are just one day closer to an RV.
