ajw
Does the last line in the article indicate that a new rate was not included in the budget? Its showing 1/1170 I am wondering the same thing, I thought the rv was going to be based on budget and we would see the new rate when upon final approval. C.H.
here u go. http://af.reuters.co...E71J01K20110220 While this is positive news we still are a long way off from RV, in fact it may not happen. From an economic point of view one must look at the total amount of currency in circulation (Iraqi Dinars) compared to the total amount of currency the Iraqi government has on their balance sheet. Anyone looking to become an instant millionaire over night from an RV well it just simply not going to happen this way folks. Those who are invested for the long term will eventually see positive returns investors stay the course, gamblers looking for a huge windfall need to head back to their favorite casino. 1

While I will agree in part that the rise may not happen like we hope, I wonder where your assumptions are coming from? If Shabibi is a man of his word and hasn't been lying to us, he stated that once the GOI is seated that the dinar would rise! So can you tell me where you got your information from? I'm not trying to be an "arse" but I would like to know what you've read, that I haven't?
