AKReindeer Posted February 10, 2011 Report Share Posted February 10, 2011 I believe the "1 decimal" that they are talking about refers to their inflation rate. They used to be in the 2-digits range and they have been trying to keep it in the 1-digit range (maybe the translation is making it come out as "decimal"). Also, newspaper articles reported on DV and other news agencies refer to tariffs being implemented in March of 2011 - which most likely accounts for the sixth of March date referenced in the article above. Econman33 Posted February 10, 2011 Report Share Posted February 10, 2011 My take is he is saying they are keeping inflation to one decimal point (single digit) inflation. I do not see any exchange rate given. They are claiming the low inflation that CBI claims is incorrect and it does not truly reflect the real inflation seen by the Iraqis. I do not know what this means but it would suck to be sold down river after all that we have done over there. Am I seeing things or reading these wrong? Someone could explain I would appreciate.
