Hi everyone, i just want to say that the thing with DOHA bank was not a rumor, it was a mistake. It was not BS, i have been watching this site for a while and not written anything but on the 10th of January, i read someone caught it on DOHA bank website that the rate was like .35 to our dollar because it was equal the IQD and their dollar, i waited till 12am my time and called the banks bc when i called earlier they had a live 24/7 person answer they said i had to call back at 8 their time because he couldnt look at the computers. So i waited, i didnt think anything of it, and when i got somene on the phone he DID i swear on my childs life, that it was confirmed, he did that math break down if i had 500,000 dinars what would that be in USD he told me 174,000 i dont remember the other number just 174 in change. I said let me put my husband on the phone, cause i fig he didnt know what he was talking about, my husband asked him has this been a big change, he said yes. He said do you think it would go up more, he said he didnt know. But that it was valid. Me being a research analyst, i had to call back again, i wait till it was about prob 10 am their time. I was up all night, by that time their were plenty of posts where people did the same thing as me and got confirmation, the reason i called back was because i read one person say they spoke to a women who didnt have as much luck as we all did. So i fig something is up let me call back. I called back, by then a lot of people im sure had called, so i waited on hodl a while, i asked the rep if they ex the iqd and has the rate gone up, he said we do not deal with IQD, because it is not worth anything. He acted as though he never really ex it. I said well then how is it on your site, and i just spoke to someone a hour or two ago and they said i could ex it right now, he said he was aware of the prob and was waiting to hear from their tresury department, but he was pretty sure it was just a mistake, he said call back in a hour. You could tell he knew of the prb was not sure exactly what the answer was just that they dont deal with that currency, he went as far as to say even if the rate was higher they dont deal with it. I told him yeah thats because it is worth nothing, but if it was worth something im sure you would deal with it, he said i dont know. This story is 100 percent true my experience. I thought i had just made some money, when my husband woke up he was like was that a dream what happ? I told him they are renegging on what the first teller told me. He was upset to say the least. Im not going to lie i did go by more dinar, but the people at TD bank on LONGISLAND, NY still though it was a shot in the dark, as they have always thought. They think it is a scam, i try to tell them i dont believe so. I dont know about everyone else or how hard it is to get Dinar, but here in NY the only place you can get it from is TD bank. Which someone told me was a Canadian Bank. the teller did tell me that she has a big folder of people who have been buying dinar recently. She is scared they will change their currency and it will be worthless, she said they will def not take it back, i said why, if we changed our dollar bill you would still take it back, she said it doesnt work like that with their money. So that is my only fear, what if they do change it, and some people out there are just rying to tell as much of it as they could before it is changed, i dont think they will change it only because how does that benifit them? They already recently changed it. I dunno i read so much stuff on this site, my head is spinning. I was told to purchase Dinar from TD bank, because a fam member had a tip from someone in foriegn Ex, currency that it was going to Rv any day that was a YR ago. I understand things take time. But i do wonder sometimes if this is all a bigger scam then we could ever fig out , i hope not. I also have been told that a Man named ALI who i googled and Youtubed, who im sure you are all familar with, is going to be cashing in the dinars at a temporary branch in MAnhattan, his regular office location he listes on his youtube interview. Just type in Iraqi Dinar, ALI. and you should find all his interviews all diff parts. About the cash in process, so what is it to him to tell me to go to TD bank and buy dinar, and then explain how we will cash in with him, cause he takes a lower fee then most places, 150 per million dinars. If this was his way of making money then he will not make anything unless it rvs, so far i believe him. Well see. He was also on Cnn or some news station, you can see it also on Youtube. Anyone have any info on ALI feel free to share. Thanks just wanted to post my experiences, since i have been following for a yr and never actaully wrote a comment.

Sorry but the way it was written it was hard to read. :)

One thing I noticed I put it in bold. I am beginning to wonder though, if whoever is behind these crazy rumors, is actually getting what they want. When I see that you bought MORE dinar because of the rumors you heard it really makes me wonder.

You are correct just a little slow :) Ali has already stated it was a mistake and DOHA was not buying dinar @ .35. The rumors about cashing in are originating at another site. They supposedly have an american member in kuwait who saw a lot of activity or cars at the kuwait DOHA branch and somehow this turned into confirmation that they were actually exchanging dinar. Unfortunately this is how most rumors evolve. A small bit of info gets coupled with somebodys optimisim and it turns into confirrmed intel.

kinda sad

This whole rumor started because of a traffic jam ? You've got to be kidding.

What are you guys talking about a rumor, traffic jam? It was on their site, i assumed it was a mistake which is was, but not a rumor. It was never a rumor, a rumor would be if someone said it was this and it was not.....i followed up, with what was on the site, by calling the bank, the man who answered in KW, i guess started the rumor, but i doubt it, he confirmed it because that is what it said in his system and website. Me and others called and not me but the other people also had it confirmed, they posted the phone number so anyone could call, untill about 10 am they were saying this was verified. When i called again they said no they do not ex dinar they never did. So my msg was to confirm that is was not a rumor just bad info on the banks part. And if Ali or anyone else says anthing diff he does not know what he is talking about cause i called my self and that is what they told me. The reason i bought more was because when we thought what the bank teller told us was real, my husband said, soo did you get the extra 250,000 dinars i asked you to buy last week, and i held off cause i was doing research, he was PISSED at me, so first thing in the morning even though, i knew this was being re-negged, i had no choice to buy more, my husband would have killed me if it really came through and i didn't get what he asked me to get the week prior. The thing about Ali is seperate, i was asking what people know about him, is he a guru or just a guy that may make money on us if we cash in. he seems to have good info on youtube, (interviews).

Penngal1 I don't know what to think about the while thing. I know it was on their site but I am not convinced it wasn't some kind of ploy for reasons I can only imagine.

I mean look at what happened with you. You read it and bought more dinars. With all the talk of sites being hacked into I wouldn't put anything past anyone anymore.

Nah, i dont think it was hacked into, i mean it could have been, but thats why i called a real number in KW, to verified it. Perhaps they only saw what we saw on the website, but ii fig they would have a diff system to check it, and they said it was right. even gave me the translation in USD, and i don't think he was messing with me or lying, i just think it was a error, unless it was a higher up thing, to get people to buy more, hell it worked on me. But the reps im sure had no idea if that was the case, either that or it was a mistake. But two hours later they took it off the site and renegged. so who knows, just wanted to clairfy that it was not a rumor

Drunken Irish i dont understand the comment about alot of activity cars, and how that started the rumor, please explain

Pen... If I may take a crack at this I think you may be right about them making a mistake with putting the rate out there like that

However I think where the rumor comes in is where someone on a different site started saying that people are actually cashing out?!? Which there has never been any proof of.. Noone has ever provided one shred of evidence to say someone actually cashed in... I for one do not doubt the rate as I too seen and called about it, however I do doubt anyone actually cashed out dinar for KD until I see a deposit or exchange slip...

There is a key on all keyboards that has the word "Enter" written on it. I STRONGLY suggest that you use that key every 2 or 3 sentences... if you understand what a sentence is.

If you use this key as suggested it will break your conversation up into "paragraphs" which will encourage people to actually read what you have to say... I didn't bother reading your massive block of text myself, its too difficult.

I do understand that the converter was an unregistered 2004 version, ok.

But what about the numbers that were in it? We know the exchange 0f 3.22 was NOT valid in 2004, HELL, it wasn't even valid in 1994.

How would a rate like this, along with all of the other incorrect rates be missed for over 16 years? Dinaraholics have been searching for SEVEN years, and none have come to this site until now?

Was this JIB site even up this long? Did they even worry about the accuracy of the exchange rates when they originally posted the converter? After all, that is the whole point of a converter...... accurate numbers....

This was a hell of a coincidence, given all these factors, considering the error was on the IQD, an obscure but prominent firgure in the world of currencies many people are speculating on, AND at an 'INCORRECT' rate many people are guessing on (the Saddam rate) may be the future rate.

Either way, it was fun to be a millionaire for a few days between Doha and Jordan.........AND I DIDN"T EVEN SPEND ANY OF MY MONEY!!!!! I pat myself on the back for not spending it all in one place.... :D

The numbers in it were TOTALLY stupid... they had the Australian dollar at US$1.30 which it has never been close too in my lifetime. I remember it was about $1.15 in 1972, and that over 40 years ago. The highest the Aussie has been since then is $1.02 a week ago.

If you believe the $3.22 on the IQD, do you believe the $1.30 on the AUD too?

Or do you only believe what feels good for you?

Just wondering why no one answered any questions about Ali. I know why I remember this post because you addressed him in the title but I think that part got lost in the rest of the thread. Sorry I didn't notice this part.

Here's my take on it. There was a rate of $.35 on the DOHA (or .10 KWD for the IQD) Kuwaiti website for the dinar. When people called to verify this the bank employee was just looking at a screen and assuming the data was correct. All of the phone calls brought the matter to the attention of management at the bank and it was taekn off the website. Later when people called they responded that they don't exchange IQD, but it was too late. The rumor mills were already in operation and somebody on PD came up with this "confirmation" story about seeing people rushing into the bank to cash in their IQD. This is why I don't care for that site. They claim they have the best intel but what they have is the most people who think they know what's going on and are willing to make fools of themselves giving out bogus information. You'll notice that nobody on staff here at DV ever said that people were cashing in at DOHA. There were no conference calls here telling stories about a cash in frenzy in Kuwait.

I don't know if this rate was a mistake, bad data, or some half-arsed attempt to jump the gun on the RV, but whatever happened the bottom line is there is zero evidence that anybody in Kuwait exchanged IQD for KWD at .35 or any other rate. This is why it's so important not to get caught up in the dinar rumor mill.

<_<

Its amazing how much garbage is tossed from each dinar site, I dont care WHO you are including site owners/moderators....its become a constant barrage of bashing each others web site. You would think we all being in this together would be reason enough for co-operation but human nature takes the lead and bam....PD said this....DV said that...DD said the other thing. Its no wonder the mud flies in politics when we cant harness our tongue on something as simple as gathering, researching and posting information. Maybe we would all be in much better health if we turned these sites off and just waited for the news to declare the Dinar reinstatement. Is it really worth stressing your heart and blood pressure reading all the garbage that comes along with a rumor? Even those self righteous guru's can learn from the scriptures they often repeat......

Rom 3:10

"There is none righteous, no, not one;

NKJV

Lets just get back to reporting what we hear or know and throw the rest of the garbage out. Ok... bash away...Im done... GO RV !! :)
