Just got off the phone with the bank in question. Phone number 01197444456000 the Doha Bank main line. For starters their exchange rates were slightly different than the ones listed on the site, I'm pretty sure there were comparing to the QAR not KWD; anyway, the said that the IQD is not listed and we should call back in the morning.

The way those exchange rates are laid out is stating what 1 unit of whatever currency is equal to in KWD. The USD says it is .2812 which means that 1 USD = .2812 KWD or $3.55 USD = 1 KWD. So if you do the same for the IQD that would mean 1 IQD = .1 KWD or 10 IQD = 1 KWD. Therefore, if that is correct 3.55 USD = 10 IQD or 1 USD = .35 IQD. Hope that helps.

Those are Kuwait Bank exchange rates so the rate is quoted against the Kuwait Dinar (KWD) and not USD. Interesting 'typo' on the Doha Bank website. The site is definitely legit but I think it must have been a typo on the rate although .1 IQD to 1 KWD would be a step in the right direction. I tried to verify the info (right or wrong) but I was only able to find KWD / IQD xchange rates on the two websites posted in this topic. The other websites I checked had no IQD xchange rate posted.

I'm going to get slammed but can some on tell me why .1 is .35 and not .10 - thanks

If it's against the KWD then it means it's 0.1 or 10% of the KWD which is around $3.50 so 10% of that is $0.35.

In other words, 0.1 of a Kuwaiti dinar is 0.35 of a US dollar. Hope that makes sense.

One link is to the Doha Bank Kuwait branch and the other in the Qatar...right? Maybe I am wrong.

If this is the case it may because Kuwait does deal with IQD and the Qatar may not. I bought most of my IQD in Kuwait 2003.

Kuwait has a branch and Qatar has a branch. Iraqi owns Kuwait a lot of money so it would make more sense if they got the rate before anyone else does.

Why are the notices about this not a real site being deleted. I have tried to verify site in numerous ways and search engines once you get to the site correctly - the iqd is not on site - someone has made a fake site - very disheartning - please prove me wrong please
