Anything less than $2.00, to me, would cause hyper-inflation. I do not think that type of rate would be concurrent with the true wealth of this country. I personally think it would be a slap in the face of all the neighboring middle eastern countries. On the flip side, I believe anything too high (more than $4.00), would be extremely detrimental. A rate too high will cause the opposite, deflation. If I were to have to give an educated guess, I would say it will RV on Thursday 12/30 at a rate of $3.22-$3.86. Then again, this is MY PERSONAL OPINION. I'm ready to get off of the Texas Giant! This is a rough rollercoaster!

I think it will RV around 3.44.12/30/2010 Just close enough to Kuwait but not over. What is with the OIL people on here any way. One says(okieoilman) it's going to happen almost everyday, And the other(oil4life) doesn't think it will happen in our life time. I'm trying to find the pre 1990 value of the dinar and Oanda.com will only let me do history from 1990 on up. Can anybody give me a link or chart? If I do under 1990 on oanda I get same results over 125.750. I need to see a further back history to make my guess as to the rate. Thanks to anybody that can help.

Was in the RI camp @ 3.22 plus the 20% also, so 3.87.

But different info and reports from all over have me thinking 4.40 to 5.40 on 12/30/2010.

If I may give my 2 cents. I believe that an RV will happen, if not by the end of 2010 but possibly by mid 2011 or 3rd qtr 2011. RV rate is something a little harder to guess on. But after reading all of the other posts and info over the past couple of months, I will give 3 possibilities:

1). $3.22 seems like the best and most logical number out there. Kuwait is higher but with the information provided by the 2011 budget the IQD needs that to makes ends meet.

2). $.86 - $1.54 seems logical also because a starting point higher than $2 would not allow for much maneuverability from the IMF or CBI. Investers will cash in too quickly and Iraq will lose some of its investment keeping the IQD value lower than expected.

3.) $3.57 - $4.27 so Iraq with all of its Oil reserves could have the world's highest valued currency. Beat Kuwait and take the title. After everything that has happened with Kuwait, it is believed that Iraq would like nothing more than to come out above Kuwait.
