DV Family,

I check 4 different currency exchange rate sites daily... One of the currency exchange sites is now reading literally the word "wait" under each column.

P.S. - You will have to type in "USD/IQD" at the bottom where it asks for instrument name to bring up that specific exchange.

P.S.S. - Like I said I check these everyday, and to my knowledge it has never read like this before and always has the regular USD/IQD rate.

Not going to predict what that means but I'll leave everyone with this.... :D :D :D

I'm right there with ya Logical1. I check netdania everyday and mine says "wait" across the whole board. I have refreshed and reloaded the page a dozen times, all other currencies refresh fine. I did check with a fellow investor buddy of mine and his did refresh...I don't know...

I checked earlier and it said wait wait wait, about an hour ago, and all the other xchange quotes were prsent,

but 5 minutes ago it came up unchanged bid 1166.55

last quote was the 12th @ 2:33pm.

So something is strange.

The "wait" is just the screen message your computer generates while the info is being downloaded. If you "wait" long enough you'll see what I mean.

Ordinarily you are correct Maynard. I check netdania everyday, for me on my computer today it is different. My screen has been up for 15 minutes and still says "wait" for my USD/IQD pairing only. I have a screen shot but don't know how to post it. Maybe nothing, but certainly is different for me today.

Yeah Maynard, I did see all the currencies temporarily say "wait", however, the USD/IQD continuously says wait (for me at least - refreshing\closing and opening a new window etc...)... ... interesting enough though it seems that many members are NOT seeing the "wait" in the USD/IQD column.

Yes Maynard but this time all the other quotes came up EXCEPT for USD/IQD.

Whenever I have used this site in the past and entered in usd/iqd it has come up for me almost immediately.

Been waiting for a couple of minutes now still says wait across the screen, So you have seen this wait before ?

Well, this not to say you guys aren't on to something. The point is the "wait" is a generic message when data isn't getting uploaded.

If you've ever tried to surf the net when football is on, for example, EVERYTHING can be slowed down. Maybe its a combination of Sunday football, and um, certain economic activity.

I'd be ok with that. :)
