Sometimes it is a good idea to just sit look at events and evaluate possibilities. It has occurred to me that there are those who are actully cashing in but doing so in way that maybe a bit more more cumbersome but neverless possible. Here is what I discovered and do wish to share with you.

1 IQD = 0.0031 AED

1 AED = 322.5806 IQD

1 AED = 0.2723 USD

1 USD = 3.6724 AED

1.00 Iraqi Dinar = 0.03 Russian Roubles

1 IQD = 0.0263 RUB

1 RUB = 38.0228 IQD

1 RUB = 0.0325 USD

1 USD = 30.7692 RUB

IQD = 0.0002 KWD

1 KWD = 5000 IQD

1 KWD = 3.5717 USD

1 USD = 0.28 KWD

You can exchange your IQD for example to Rupee or Rubles or Dirham or whatever currency would profit you most when converting back to USD. Perhaps this will not as large an investment profit as the full on RV of the Iraqi Dinar but I suspect that very large investors have been doing this all al along. You simply must be willing to travel to do your exchanges. This would be no different then International trading of stocks.

Just a few thoughts to share and it is possible that I am absolutely wrong but I do not think so. IMO Iraq should immediately Revalue the Iraqi Dinar and get on with its program of rebuilding the country.

Interesting analysis.. I think the biggest problem is the logistics of actually going about taking "physical" dinar and getting them converted to the desired currency you outline... You have to get someone who will accept the Dinar and give you a reasonable rate and then from there take your "profits" if there are any and go about executing your plan. I think the biggest barrier is people simply can't just "travel" around to do this and also you would be assuming a foreign bank would actually ACCEPT the IQD on exchange from a foreigner.

I think I'll wait for the RV

The math on this is interesting,

while the upfront approach of looking at this does not seem to work (usd to iqd, iqd to rub and then rub to usd) does not work and actually ends up in a loss

you buy 1,000,000 iqd for $900usd (1,000,000 x .0009)

now covert your 1,000,000 iqd into rub, you would get 26,300 rub (1,000,000 x .0263)

now convert your 26,300 rub to usd and you get 854.75 usd (26,300 x .0325) for a loss of $45.75 not counting all the fees and such

what is interesting is to look the kwd using the same approach you get an even bigger loss in the exchange

you buy 1,000,000 iqd for $900.00 usd (1,000,000 x .0009)

now convert your 1,000,000 iqd into kwd, you would get 200kwd (1,000,000 x .0002)

now convert your 200 kwd to usd and you get $714.34 usd (200 x 3.5717) for a loss of $185.66

Now... big whoop its a loss, and a big loss at that, so who cares?

well, lets turn this around a little and use this approach... first we are going to assume we have $1,000,000usd to play with then we will change usd to kwd, kwd to iqd, and then iqd back to usd and see what happens

you buy 281,300 kwd for 1,000,000 USD (1,000,000 x .28)

now convert your 281,300 kwd to iqd and you get 1,169,000,013.41 iqd (281,300 x 4155.0757) 1 kwd =4155.0757 kwd not 5,000 as was in the post above

now convert your 1,169,000,013.14 iqd to usd and you get $1,052,100.01 usd (1,169,000,013.14 x .0009) for a GAIN of $52,100.01

If you were to repeat this path over and over each time increasing the amount you gain by using the proceeds of the previous transaction you would in theory, eventually backrupt a country.

So I must be missing something here or I have just found a way to start making huge money as long as you can figure out how to exchange your iqd to usd.

I am no mathematics genius but I can use a calculator and do possess some degree of curiosity and sensed that there was something odd regarding managed float where only certain people profited. I needed to understanded this and I analyzed it over and over again until I figured out how it could be done. Working with convertors and converting from one currency to another and then back to USD gave me the answer that I was seeking. Now what to do with such information except to discuss is. If Soros could bankrupt the Bank of England why wouldn't it work in reverse to restore American economy? It is a thought.

Then turned that into USD, that came to 99.99829. For a net loss of less than a Penny. So I am not sure if this really works or even possible. Something wrong with the methodology or something.

Try assessing one conversion first. Take it for example to a few millon IQD and crunch the numbers.

I used Forex and do not know why it wouild be different on xe at all. I am certain the experts are crunching the numbers and may give us their version soon. i do know that this worked already been done by many others in the world and may have be the way Dubai redpaid its huge loan that was due this week. Remember several of the Gulf Countries RV'ed but not Iraq yet.
