Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan called, on Thursday, during the opening of the G8 summit, to deal in local currencies among the countries of the group "in order to protect our countries from the risks arising from exchange rates."

Erdogan said that it is possible to activate the idea of establishing a large Islamic bank on the basis of an electronic platform that simultaneously meets the liquidity needs of Islamic financial institutions and financing the growing infrastructure in the Islamic world.

The Turkish president pointed out that "we have worked to develop economic and trade cooperation between the eight Islamic countries," stressing the need to "renew the Islamic Group of Eight" D-8 "according to the current requirements, and turn it into an entity that focuses on projects and achievements."

Erdogan stressed that his country will put its anti-Corona vaccine within the reach of all mankind upon approval, stressing the need for access to Corona vaccines to be equal in the world.

On the other hand, Erdogan called for seeking to protect the Palestinian refugees and the Arakanese, Yemeni and Syrian immigrants who suffer oppression and poverty.

If we can lead the way in using our national currencies in trade among our countries, we will mark a revolution in history Erdogan said.

"There is no reason to allow our economies to melt under the pressure of exchange rates," he added.

The countries; Bangladesh, Egypt, Indonesia, Iran, Malaysia, Nigeria, Pakistan and Turkey.
