Harb added, in a special statement to P UKmedia today, Friday: that the Parliament has previously lifted immunity from 4 MPs in the efforts to combat administrative and financial corruption, explaining that influential political blocs impede the implementation of decisions issued by the Iraqi judiciary. He added: The law requires implementation. As for the courts, the defendants can defend themselves, noting that arrest warrants are many, and if half of them were implemented, the judiciary would achieve the achievement in the face of administrative and financial corruption. He stressed that among the accused is a minister in the Iraqi government as well as 3 deputies in the current session of the House of Representatives, calling on the political blocs to help the judiciary to achieve justice against widespread corruption in Iraq. Karim Badr, Director General of the Investigation Department of the Integrity Commission, announced in a special statement to PUKmedia : that the arrest and recruitment orders against the defendants of the highest and private levels are for the month of February, explaining that the orders include ordinary employees as well. He added: The commission issued (70) arrest and recruitment orders against ministers, members of the House of Representatives, governors, members of provincial councils and two general managers, as well as a deputy minister, based on cases investigated and referred to the judiciary, pointing out that arrest and recruitment orders were issued against 5 Ministers including a current minister, 5 members of the House of Representatives, 3 of whom are current, a former minister, and former governors, 24 general directors, of whom 9 are current, as well as (33) members of provincial councils. He pointed out that the Integrity Commission is obligated to follow up the implementation with the Ministry of Interior. As for recruitment, the ministries will inform the employee or concerned with them, stressing that the Authority issues monthly reports in corruption cases, apologizing for the disclosure of any name in the lists of integrity and being careful not to defame. https://www.pukmedia.com/AR_Direje.aspx?Jimare=141695 2
