The Council concluded the first reading of the draft law on the accession of the Republic of Iraq to the 1992 Paris Convention on the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, submitted by the Committee on Foreign Relations for the purpose of participating and cooperating with States in confronting the threat posed by climate change and addressing the phenomenon of greenhouse gas emissions and minimizing their effects.
The Council completed the first reading of the draft law on the ratification of the Convention on the Exemption of Holders of Diplomatic Passports and the Official Service from the entry point between the Government of the Republic of Iraq and the Government of the Republic of Serbia, submitted by the Committee on Foreign Relations in order to enhance the bilateral relations between the two countries and facilitate the travel of their nationals. 
The Council also completed the first reading of the draft law on the accession of the Republic of Iraq to the 1995 Grain Trade Agreement, submitted by the committees of foreign relations, economy, investment, agriculture, water and marshes in order to enhance international cooperation in the international grain trade and ensure the free flow of this trade to the benefit of all members and contribute to the stability of international grain markets And strengthening food security.
During the session, the first reading of the draft law on refugees, submitted by the Labor, Social Affairs, Migration, Displaced Persons, Foreign Relations, Human Rights, Security and Defense Committees, was completed to regulate the rules of asylum in the Republic of Iraq to include cases of humanitarian and political asylum and other reasons of race, religion, nationality or social affiliation. The council completed the first reading of the draft law amnesty from tax sanctions in order to give the taxpayers a chance to resolve their position and settle their crimes and to resolve the tax crimes of the financial authority and the payment of tax amounts in the hands of the taxpayers.
The meeting was then adjourned to Saturday (15/6/2019).

Well, at least there is some work getting done. Let's see how the rest of the weeks turn out. If only they could agree on a few issue Iraq could be a power house.
