Bottom line: Unless Iraq is busting their balls to join, 2016 is the quoted projected goal. 

It takes 15 years as a solid country before a country is eligible to join the WTO.

When's the start date? US and allies invaded TEN years ago!!

You remember the movie " One flew on cuckoo's nest" starring Nicholson?   There was that huge Indian guy who never said anything until one day......

Well, for starters, if Iraq is soon to become a "Donor Nation"...which is Huge!....why would'nt they be able to get into the WTO sooner than later?.....

Since yours is a common sense question I have the feeling that the Powers That Be won't take it into consideration.

Their stated goal was to join the WTO 2016-17.

Is there any evidence they got on the fast track?

I'm not seeing anything concrete, and the last chunk that has to be done (I saw the diagram) can take place at Iraq's leisure and there's no evidence showing those steps will be done in 2 weeks.

 

I'm still not sold.

To me this is an anchor topic for the "gurus" that is being misused just like the budget, national conference, new year, Ramadan, take your pick.
