Joins Yemen on Wednesday officially the World Trade Organization , after it was recommended a working group to join the organization accepted the final documents join the Arab state after 13 years of multilateral negotiations.

It is expected to approve the ninth global meeting of trade ministers of WTO, which begins on Tuesday on the island of Bali with Indonesia , on Yemen's accession to the organization. The meeting lasts until the sixth of December.

Said Saad Eddin Bin Taleb, Minister of Industry and Trade of Yemen, Yemen will be signed on Wednesday in Bali protocol to formally joining the World Trade Organization and become a member of the organization 160.

The news agency quoted the official Yemeni minister Bin Taleb as saying on Monday, "this signature is Yemen completed their own thing to join the organization leaving only ratifications of the local by the House of Representatives and the Prime Minister and the President of the Republic and this we have achieved and accomplished the work of 13 years of painstaking efforts and long and, God willing Yemen takes advantage of this to join. "

How the Conference is organizedback to top

The Ninth WTO Ministerial Conference will be opened at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, 3 December 2013 by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, the Honourable Dr. Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono.

Following the departure of the President from the Nusa Dua Hall, the Ministerial Conference will be addressed by the Chairman, Indonesia's Trade Minister Gita Wirjawan; Director-General Roberto Azevêdo; and the Chairman of the General Council, Ambassador Shahid Bashir (Pakistan).

Before closing the Opening Session, the Chairman will propose the adoption of the agenda.

The officers of the Conference are: Chairman: H.E. Mr Gita Wirjawan (Indonesia); Vice-Chairs: H.E. Mr François Kanimba (Rwanda); H.E. Mr Stephen Green (United Kingdom); and H.E. Ms Magali Silva Velarde-Álvarez (Peru).

The Plenary Session will start at 9.30 a.m. on Wednesday, 4 December and will continue over the following days. As at past Ministerial Conferences, the Plenary will provide an opportunity for Ministers to make prepared statements.

The Ministerial Conference will take up the accession of the Republic of Yemen in a separate session.

The Closing Session will take place at 3 p.m. on Friday 6 December.

AFP - Nusa Dua (Indonesia) (AFP) - The World Trade Organization agreed Wednesday to formally Yemen's accession to it after 13 years of negotiations, while the organization's future seems uncertain because of its inability to reach agreement on the start of negotiations on world trade.

But Yemen will not be a member of the 160 in the organization only after the approval of parliament officially on it.

The aim of joining this Arab country which is one of the poorest countries in the world, to stimulate foreign investment in Yemen, which is going through a difficult transition process since the departure of President Ali Abdullah Saleh in February 2012 under pressure from the street.

The Minister of Trade and Industry Yemeni Saad Eddin Bin Taleb far the ministerial meeting of the Organization, who agreed to join his country that "the country of Yemen trade for hundreds of years (...) We would like to restore our communication in the world."

And welcomed the Director-General of the Organization Roberto Azevedo "very deep reforms" carried out by Yemen during 13 years of negotiations for accession. He said, "have been exploited very courageous decisions."

He believed in this country join the proof that the WTO is still appropriate.

After the ratification of the accession, Yemen will be the fifth member of the thirtieth country in the least developed countries.

He welcomed U.S. Commerce Secretary Michael Froman, "the end of a long journey" to Yemen, which has proved "his commitment to reforms."

But "the Arab Network for NGOs for Development," which includes the bodies of 12 Arab countries, in a statement criticized the "concessions" that were imposed on countries for accession, saying that "the liberalization of services" required by the organization exacerbates the humanitarian situation for the Yemenis.
