Students at Bowie state decry Obamacare after canceled plans

In this video by CampusReform, students at Bowie State University share their dismay over news that the historically black college will be dropping student insurance plans due to increased costs.

Interviewer Katherine Timpf: “This is one of the schools that’s had to cancel student health insurance plans because of the regulations with ObamaCare, so we’re just trying to get students’ opinions, what they think about that.”

Let’s just reel off the comments, shall we? Buckle up, here we go:

• “That sucks. Totally unfair.”
• “Stupid and it’s Obama’s fault. I haven’t done anything, Obama, and I’m disappointed in you.”
• “Not get sick.”
• “I think I’ma go to ObamaCare… (after being informed of the price) I can’t afford anything right now. I can’t even afford my loans.”
• “We don’t have that money. We can barely afford books.”
• “I guess I’m gonna have to put in some overtime at work.”
• “He says he’s for his people (Obama), but actually, he’s not. He’s actually putting money in white’s people’s pockets instead of helping black people out.” [Nice.]
• “At first I was with it, but I don’t really think it’s benefiting us.”
• “I’m very disappointed.”
• “He should have done his research a little bit better.” [My favorite.]
• “I didn’t see that coming, but I’m not surprised, government has been lying to us since birth.” [Hey, some people are catching on!]
• “I feel like the fact they took that away from us shows that they don’t care.”

Question: Did you vote for Obama?

• “Yes.”
• “I did.”
