cris
Obama to Crash Debate Prep in Nevada as Campaigns Lower Expectations Chris Kleponis/AFP/Getty Images; Paul J. Richards/AFP/Getty Images BOWLING GREEN, O.H. — President Obama will head to Henderson, Nev., on Sunday for three days of debate prep behind closed doors, ABC News has learned. While he is there he will also hold one grassroots rally and likely make some unscheduled local stops in the evening, a campaign official said. Meanwhile, less than a week before Obama and GOP nominee Mitt Romney face-off in Denver, the debate expectations game is in full swing. Team Obama is laying it on heavy that the president may be the less-prepared candidate because of the demands of his office. “The President will have a little bit of time to review and practice before the debates, but he has had to balance the management of world events, governing, time out campaigning and will have less time than we anticipated to sharpen and cut down his tendency to give long, substantive answers,” Obama campaign spokeswoman Jen Psaki told ABC News. To date, Obama has attended a handful of two- to three-hour prep sessions at Democratic National Committee headquarters with Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass., who is standing in as Romney. Psaki said that Romney, by contrast, has been preparing like an “Olympic decathlete” with an unprecedented amount of practice. He started “earlier than any candidate in modern history and running through mock debates five times in 48-hours,” she said. Obama campaign officials are even putting a spin on the debates as a potential “reset” moment for the race, claiming they won’t be surprised if Romney gets a bounce “just by being on the same stage as the incumbent.” One official, lowering the expectations bar even further for Obama, went so far as to note to ABC News that five out of the last six presidential challengers were judged to have won the first debate. Republican National Committee spokeswoman Kirsten Kukowski countered what she called the Democrats’ spin, calling the notion that the president will not be ready for the debates “ridiculous.” “The idea a president who is known for his world class oratory, is a world-class debater who laid waste to Hillarious Clinton, John Edwards, and John McCain, will be unprepared debates is absurd,” she said in a statement to ABC News. “The only handicap he has are his policies that have failed Americans that past four years.” http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/politics/2012/09/obama-to-crash-debate-prep-in-nevada-as-campaigns-lower-expectations/

Average Bear
How hard will he have it when he approves all the questions asked by his puppets?
wpsmit
Perhaps if he spent less time on talk shows he would have more time to prep. And what has he done as president lately. Didn't spend much time on the embassy crises, just said it was a bump in the road and continues to claim it was caused by spontaneous response to a film. Oh yeah, most "spontaneous" demonstrations are complete with sophisticated weapons and molotov cocktails.

Lmao ....When Romney beats the tar out of him, the Dem's will spin it three ways...First they'll say O'blah won (breifly)...Then, it was a draw.....Then, they'll say Mitt was unfair (racist) and O should be Pres anyway because the Republicans are just mean....All before Saturday

DiveDeepSix
Great post bud! What's he going to do run on his track record? Should be a short debate, maybe we will get lucky and O will just resign, no wait he is way to arrogant to ever admit he is a total mistake! I really really hope Romney calls him out on the 2 million dollars he's spent hiding all his records while the media crucifies Mitt on his tax records (he just released what 10 years or more of?). Funny also how that POS POTUS can buy a 35 million dollar retirement home in Hawaii off the salary of a president when he's never had any other job in his life. Something stinks big time!! Hey but maybe Obama is right we all need to cut back, tighten our belts, and INFLATE our tires properly, in these times of need! POS
skitealwedrop
The POTUS is important. One individual in the White House will never be effective as long as our Congress remains, as is. The American voters need to clean house in Congress. We have Congressmen on the Hill that are antiquated and have a agenda. Our State Senators should be viewed closely as well. The Supreme Court is another story. Term limits should be instituted. We need new blood in DC. Sorry for the political rant. I understand what's going on in DC.
