I agree with you Sgt. Fury. I am all for the 2nd Amendment, and I am proud to have a concealed carry permit.

Amen to that!! I just purchased another assault rifle yesterday from Buds Gun Shop online. also ordered 1000 rounds of .223 armor piercing. Yea baby, bring on the revolution!!!

Paid? Are you serious? incidents like this promote gun ownership. Some people will read stories like this and immediately go and buy 5 assault rifles, god knows why anyone would need one for personal defense, but that's besides the point. If there had been one trained carrier there this might have been prevented. Then again most establishments ban firearms so perhaps not. Gun ownership will likely never cease to exist. If gun ownership is banned all that would mean is gun fanatics would illegally own them.

For every one nutjob who goes and does something like this, there are hundreds of thousands of law-abiding citizens who carry and own guns responsibly.

I know 1st hand what firearms can do in the wrong hands, my Godmother was murdered in her diner in July 1997 by a co-worker who illegally purchased a firearm from a known criminal. If she or some of her coworkers had been able to obtain CCW permit, she might still be alive. This man had threatened her numerous times, and the San Francisco Police did absolutely nothing. When he did finally show up to shoot her, she would have had them time to protect herself had the City of San Francisco allowed such permits. Their laws are so strict, that the only people besides the police now carrying firearms are the local gang-bangers.

Aside from her being killed, I've been shot at by punks more than a few times, as well as a few of my close friends being shot as well...all for nothing more than working in the wrong neighborhood...I always carried as my business put me in those neighborhoods on a regular basis...the minute I popped off a few back at them, they scattered like cockroaches....better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6...

No matter how many regulations, bans, or restrictions you put on guns, a crook or nutjob intent on getting one will. Just look at drugs, we've outlawed them and even imposed severe penalties and fines associated with possession or distribution, and they still find their way into our communities. While do I feel for these victims, I still support the 2nd Amendment wholeheartedly. There really is no perfect solution to this kind of a problem, we live in an imperfect world, where people will continue do foolish things like this, no matter what kind of restrictions you place on firearms, ammo, etc..

Tragic story. I thank God that I live in a place that still has some common sense and has people that understands the Constitution. In liberal states there is absolutely no common sense what so ever. Liberalism is a mental disorder.

I didn't read your article NEO because I've read a hundred releases on this already on top of all the news and radio.... this is where I live and is not a mile from the University or a mile from where my hubby works. My cousin was picked up at home in the early hours this morning because he has a bad knee and similar tattoos on his arm as the shooter did (someone called him in to Crimestoppers apparently) he was cleared before the real shooter turned himself in.... NEO, Do you think taking away our 2nd Ammendment right would have prevented this... I don't, I think the man would have found an illegal gun and the same thing would have happened.... Thank God no one was killed.

Hmm, didn't this happen in a red state? Just a hunch but I'm guessing this inbred assault rifle carrying psychopath wasn't a liberal. Definitely had mental disorder though. He probably just ordered 1000 rounds of ammo too. Wow.

This same thing has occurred in CA several times as well...doesn't matter the geography, there are idiots/psychos in every state of the Union....as evidenced by the shooting in AL...
