IMO, if anything it would make sense they would want the US currency out of their country so they could use theirs. Even if it were just a matter of pride. Hard for them to say they are independent when they if they are using someone else's money.

I don't think at this stage the Iraqi people are able to stand up for themselves against the government even if they wanted to. I was just watching the news though and they did say that the unrest has affected some of the other Arab nations. Apparently some of the other nations are planning to make changes in their own government, maybe they think it's preventative measures are in order. I do think it would have to affect it in some way though. How could they make any decision now and not think about possible repercussions from their actions or inaction as the case may be?

Geeze don't know why anyone would give you a minus for that I tried to even it up. People shouldn't bury their head in the sand about this stuff. It can happen here and people need to be aware of it.
