Just wondering about the INTERNAL borrowing. Does this mean the government would borrow from investors by a bond issue paying a high return on investment. This would really be shocking. In reality the government would be borrowing their own money that was stolen in previous years by the bankers and politicians. ha ha

Here we go again..The Ministry of electricity is by far the highest paying job in Iraq. We rebuild the grid year after year but the people still don't have twenty four hours of power. Most of these so called projects never even get started,but the funds disappear...

Iran is the source of much stealing from Iraq. They pay ministers and politicians to funnel money to Iran so as to keep the militias funded.All the way around not good for Iraq.

After being in this "investment" for ten years iv'e come to realize the PROGRAM RATE is the actual rate. You may disagree but i think the added value the dinar had from time to time (when oil price was 100. dollars a barrel) was stolen by the men in charge of the different ministries. With fake projects, fake employees and projects started but never finished. The present Prime minister should pass the hat around this circle of crooks and he would have plenty of money to spare.

Here's an idea. Why not ask Maliki for the 38 billion? That's only about half of what he stole. What ever happen to the law Where did you get this ???

This saudi news is better than it looks. I say this because the ministry of electricity has been extremely corrupt from 2004 until today. The USA has paid contractors three or four times to fix the grid in Iraq but it never gets done. This is why the electric ministry is always one of the last ones to get filled each time there is a change in Prime Ministers. The position is a cherished one because of the history of stealing. The numbers are HUGE

Not to change the subject but, I have been in this dinar arena for over ten years and really enjoy the folks on this site. However i'm starting to feel the walls closing in due to the increase in pop=up ads and outright full page block out ads. Are the site managers getting greedy for more revenue?? I for one don't like this trend. I'm sure i'll get some flack for bringing this up. peace out...
