  1. It goes along with my contention that the dollar cannot collapse without taking the world's economies with it, and they all know it! What other country could have kept the interest rate for borrowing at zero for seven years? Being able to print your own currency without constraint (QE2, etc, etc.), doesn't hurt either. Now iraq.............?
  2. The United States dollar IS the world's reserve currency. Almost every nation who has any import/export capability relies on a stable US dollar. Yes, there has been and still is talk about coming away from the Breton Woods accord, but I see no immediacy in doing this. Remember people, there is no currency that is asset-backed. It is all based on the "assumption" of a country's economic power and stability. This is why China had to perform several recent currency devalues. It's economy was slowing down dramatically, and therefore it could not maintain it's value. Over the last 70 years it has been "king" dollar that has supported the world's economic stability and it continues today. For those out there who "sense" the Holy Spirit is telling them how the economy is going to perform, I would simply say "beware". The Kingdom of God is not about scurrying around searching for money. It is about the continuance of the Gospel of Christ to all nations and peoples. Let us be ever thankful for our blessings here in the US, and like the parable of the ten talents, be ever generous to those in need, with OR without an RV.
  3. It's probably in a political response to Russia's military buildup recently in Syria. Putin is seizing the initiative in Shia held Syria, which of course is approved of by Shia dominated Iran. The Russian-Iranian mideast alliance is soon to fill the vacuum left by Obama's lead from behind foreign policy. This does not bode well for Iraq.
  4. Interesting discussion. I can understand where a person like Pudge comes from, afterall there has been no revalue of the dinar since the 1166 peg was set in 2009. Pudgy will point to the thousands of RV date predictions that have filled the dinar websites each and every month for the last six years. I cannot think of another financial event which carries such a duality of outcome in the minds of its loyalists. Instant riches, versus a long term outlook of growth due to iraq's underground oil. The geopolitical turmoil in the last couple of years with sectarian violence and the rise of ISIS, coupled with internal political corruption and money laundering, has pretty much diminished the prospect of an over-night RV, in my opinion. I think the CBI is just trying to stay alive now. As dinar holders, these are frustrating times, but as long as iraq can remain an undivided sovereign nation, with its oil intact, it's currency, the Iraqi dinar, will remain a revalue prospect to investors. If iraq gets divided through UN intervention or other processes, then the Iraqi dinar that we hold will become tenuous at best, and obsolete, at worst. Hang in there. Enjoy each and every day that God gives you. Take time to thank Him for the simple blessings that we are so privileged to have, with OR without RV riches.
  5. The problem is that these are simply lies. It is not entertainment for people whose future is dependent on a huge RV happening because they bought too much. They believed the guru lies and are now in a bad place financially. As I have said before, we are at a point where our dinar investment must be seen as a long term possibility. There is just too much wrong with Iraq presently to even begin to believe there will be a massive revalue in the next month's or even years. That is not a popular opinion, I realize that, but it's my opinion. The oil isn't going anywhere. Prices will go back up to $100 a barrel. We must be patient. The dinar will increase in value but in my analysis it won't be soon.
  6. Everyone has the right to believe as they see fit. I won't debate the spiritual aspects of a big RV because that is based on someone's faith, and we all come from different perspectives on that. Now if we wish to debate the economical possibilities of an RV at this time, then I'm your huckleberry. The factors that govern that prospect are in the stinko tank until the iraqis whip the Caliphate and take their country back.
  7. Wow. Luigi actually agrees with our assessment of EO 13303 ! I'm glad that we can finally put that dog to rest.
  8. Texas1, you forgot two of my favorites, jailbird TONYTNT, and who could leave out our beloved fake beer meister in the Philadelphia Alps, ...Mountain Goat!
  9. Let's hope that regardless of the position we take as holders of iraq's dinar we will be able to redeem dollars for dinars in an unencumbered manner. My concern is more centered on the redemption process and less on the dateline issues. Selling on e-bay or through on-line dealers is a weak link in this investment. There are too many unscrupulous entities both individual and governmental that have their hands on the dinar redemption throttle.
  10. I think it has to do with the duality of thought with regards to the future of the dinar. There are those who view this as an "investment" with long range goals of an increasing dinar value over time ( that's my position) and there are those who "speculate" that the dinar will RV hugely in a very short period of time. If you are in the first camp, then there is no need to search for currency protections for the investor. If you are in the second camp, then there is great concern over these issues. Iraq is iraq. They think and do things differently than in the western world. Because we do not understand the Iraqi mindset, we become frustrated with every twist and turn of seemingly endless political corruption and ineptitude. Pray for the people and not the money. That is the way Jesus instructed us to do.
  11. I have looked up EO 13303 and though I'm not a lawyer, I can't quite make out what you are all saying about this. On the surface, it sounds like government attorney talk that protects oil interests and business investments in iraq. I am just not reading your assurances of currency safety. Maybe it's there and I'm missing it. Hopefully someone can point out my error in interpretation of this EO.
  12. If I am reading the last sentence in the article correctly, they are saying that there can be no revalue in this period of economic deflation in iraq. I think they are in survival mode right now, just trying to keep the lights on. A revalue of the dinar during this time of economic crisis would, in my opinion, be virtually impossible. We must be patient.
  13. Not trying to stir up trouble, but I just don't see the reason for people to continue to predict dates of an RV. So far, after ten years of making thousands of date predictions, not a single one has proved true. This has caused much of the non-dinarian community to think we're "nuts". The way I see this thing, buying dinar is an investment over the long haul. The heady days of instant huge RV payoffs are over. The geopolitical situation over there is stinko with no positives for awhile. So my advice, which is all this is, is to just enjoy the life we have currently, and let the dinar RV become a long term bond. The oil isn't going anywhere. It remains under Iraq and will always have enormous value, but they can't capitalize on this wealth until stability returns to the region.
  14. Yes, this is a very sad situation, made far worse by the absence of American leadership. There seems to be no end to the misery and suffering of these people, regardless of religious affiliation. I thank God every day for the mercy He has shown those of us who were born in the US. But with this mercy, we have a great responsibility to help others. I am reminded of the parable of the servants who were given ten talents, five talents and one talent. God expects us to increase our gifts for the furtherance of His Kingdom, regardless of a dinar RV. In my opinion, every American has been blessed with ten talents, regardless of our financial situation. Just being able to have clean water, food, clothing, and a safe environment for our families places us in the "Ten talent" category, and God is watching.
  15. These are interesting posts, and no doubt driven by strongly held spiritual beliefs. As I see it we have two trains of thought here. 1. That the dinar will revalue due to world economic factors, such as oil prices, political stability, and the regeneration of business opportunities in Iraq, as it struggles to take its rightful place in the league of nations. And 2. That God will anoint Christians with an RV "blessing", as some posters have presented through their interpretation of scripture. My personal beliefs center around the "economics" aspect of a revalue and less on a "blessing" from God. I realize all things are possible through Christ who strengthens us, but I simply do not see "earthly riches" as being something God considers important. In fact most scriptures that I am familiar with, point to exactly the opposite, in my humble opinion. So I view the dinar revalue as coming through economic growth, which I readily admit, is very slow in coming at the present time.
  16. I'm just a new guy here, but it seems to me that the dinar will improve based on economics. Yes, the price of oil has altered the course of any revalue for the time being, but we all know oil will eventually go back up because it is a finite resourse. We aren't making anymore of the stuff.
  17. Russia has been selling arms to Syria for decades. It was Russia that Obama allowed to broker the chemical weapons removal from Syria two years ago ( now there's a sure thing) Putin is just flexing muscle because he knows the current administration isn't going to engage him. These Russian jets won't be shooting at Americans. Too much risk for Putin. Those Russian jets will be dropping bombs on anti-government forces. Might even kill a few ISIS troops. That's not a bad thing, since we are doing the same.
  18. Hi, everyone. I'm new to the dinar investment and have been reading from the lobster tank. Pretty lively! Here's my question. It seems like the dinar should improve in value just based on its low exchange rate compared to other mideastern oil producing nations, so what is the scripture some people are quoting here? I've read the Bible many times and know about scriptures that promise a blessing to the Jews, but I'm a gentile. I think it is going to improve simply because it is very low compared to say Saudi Arabia. I'm not so sure scripture is promising big riches to Gentile Christians. Am I wrong on this?
