  1. This is dealing with Iraq's Oil and Gas Law (HCL). They are saying they need the HCL in place before the 2017 budget will be passed. The shenanigans with the Kurds is and only has been an agreement. Now the rest of the oil producing provinces in Iraq are wanting their comeuppance and the only way to for them to get that is through the HCL law because these regions are not semi-autonomous like the Kurds. Don't be surprised if more focus gets put on this the closer Iraq gets to passing the next budget (not the current budget trying to be passed) the Budget for 2017. There will be no RV until the Oil and Gas Law (not to be confused with the agreement with the Kurds) is passed. I said this 2 budgets ago and will continue to say that the agreement with the Kurds is not the HCL (Iraq's Oil and Gas Law).
  2. Here we are again another budget year and people still thinking the HCA is the HCL. What was put in the Budget February of this year was only an "agreement" between the Kurds and Baghdad. It is the same again this year. This is only an "agreement" at this juncture, it has nothing to do with the HCL. Just like last year when everyone was whooping and hollerin' the HCL was in the budget. The HCL is a separate law and once that is passed then it can be put into the budget. There have been tidbits of stories about the HCL and one should follow those instead of trying to follow Erbil's Agreement with Baghdad. Right now the Kurds have to be treated separately due to the fact that they retain a certain amount of oil proceeds that is sold. This is what the agreement is all about. Again I reiterate, this is not the HCL (Iraqi's Oil and Gas Law).
  3. In 2015, the Islamic New Year started on Oct 14. In 2016, the Islamic New Year is on Oct 1. Each subsequent year it comes earlier. If Iraq is doing their books according to the Islamic New Year then the RV would happen on or after October 1 of next year. Just to give you idea, by 2020 the Islamic New Year will happen on August 20. Suffice to say they do not follow the same calendar we do.
  4. Have to pass the HCL before the HCL can be put into the budget and since the HCL has not been passed, more than likely it is not in the budget. The HCL is Iraq's Oil and Gas Law - which is to be addressed separately from the budget. Until the finalized version of this bill is passed, don't look for it in the budget. Just keep and eye on anything to do with the Oil and Gas Law. Any shenanigans with the Kurds that appeal to an agreement is just that an agreement and not the HCL nor is it an Oil and Gas Law unless specified otherwise. The reason is simple, Iraq has other oil producing regions whilst the Kurds control a majority. When all these oil producing regions have an agreement and an agreement is made with ALL the citizens of Iraq, then and only then will the Oil and Gas Law be passed. Please lets not repeat earlier this year and be blind to what constitutes an agreement (HCA) and the Oil and Gas law (HCL). It stands to good reason if the HCL does get put into the budget, it will only be what is net after all parties have been paid (Iraqi citizens etc.)
  5. Hmm. define varified... a variable of how much the author has been receiving electric shock treatments. Wuts wrong wit hukd on foniks?
  6. It's easy... create a website/forum... have people pay to get premium services and rake in the cash. You don't even have to call yourself a guru. Website owners usually get propped up to that level if they sound informed and produce. Nothing wrong with this model, its how people do it all over the web. It's why bloggers are said to "know" what they are talking about. However if someone comes along and ousts you, there goes your base and your money. Welcome to capitalism! (that was not sarcastic) People follow these guys because there is a sucker born every minute.
  7. When are they going to do something about our "ghost president"?
  8. Let me put this caveat out there. The chart is done without the zeros which is a common thing to do and reference the numbers by saying that the numbers refer to 1,000's. However when the rv does happen, that they can just say those are the numbers in today's currency without the 000's. This isn't a LOP discussion, this is addressing how they might handle this once a RV does happen. By putting the numbers in place now for a future RV would be planning for when it does happen and to make the transition as smoothly as possible. And yet, we are still talking about Iraq! Oi Vey!~
  9. I vote we take the votes away from the magical unicorns who are using 'shrooms.
  10. Laid Back I stated this a few months ago. Here is the reasoning behind why... most major currencies are in denominations that you mention with a few exceptions. Since the Iraqi citizens are using the dollar, their mindset is already in those denominations. So when the RV does happen, the average citizen will more than likely not be confused when going from the dollar to the dinar because it will already be set up to do business in those denominations. An example of what I am talking about is like going from a deca(10) numbering system to a octa (8) number system. People would be confused by switching but eventually would get used to the new numbering system. But if they kept the same numbering system then there would be a lot less education needed for the average person when converting the currency to a higher value. My belief is they will remove the 25K notes and convert them to 20K notes. They won't pull the 10K notes from the market until the deletion of zeros. By pulling 25K notes, introducing the 20K notes and then deleting the zeros, it will be more in line with the major currencies like the dollar. They just need to go through the steps to get this done.
  11. First of two things here: 1) Bagdad and Erbil are not following through on the HCA. This is causing an irreparable rift that may (hate to use the word) *soon* neither one can come back from, if that hasn't happened already. With this rift growing, the Kurds are seeking support from outside of Baghdad in the international community to garner support, dot their i's and cross their t's so that when they do break away from Iraq, they will have back room deals already in place and the transition will be a much smoother one than what has transpired with Iraq. 2) Erbil wants to break away but Iraq has her claws firmly entrenched into Erbil because while there are other oil-generating provinces in Iraq, the Kurdish region is by far the main producer of Oil for Iraq. Take Erbil out of Iraq's picture and Iraq won't be one-tenth of what it is worth now. The world is a stage, very rarely does something that draws the attention of the world remain confined to just that country anymore. What happens outside effects the course of events inside a country. These protests could be just whining or they could be the start to something more. A pebble is all it takes to bring down the side of a mountain.
  12. They are protesting against the attack by ISIL that killed 32 people in the mainly Kurdish town of Suruc, but also against the government’s bombing of Kurdish militant positions. French Kurd Saleh Mustapha said: “Turkey is double-dealing. It’s trying to convince the international community that it’s fighting ISIS but in reality it’s targeting the Kurds.” Another French Kurd, Leon Edart, said: “We have seen people arrested but among the 600 people arrested, there were probably a hundred from ISIS and the rest were Kurds. In fact, we want the world to witness that.” Ankara denies claims by some Kurdish militants in Turkey that it has been covertly supporting ISIL against Syrian Kurds. 13. Turkey's involvement is much less about ISIS than it is about this statement buried deep within the story: "Turkish media reported on Friday that the deal with the US foresees a 56-mile no-fly-zone along the Syrian border to back up a “safe zone” on the ground aimed at preventing infiltration by Isis and other jihadis and to discourage a new flow of refugees to Turkey." Turkey despises the Kurds in whatever form they come in due to the fact that the Kurds want a chunk of Turkey for their own. Turkey has been whining lately about the Kurds on their border with Syria fighting ISIS. So in a sense this is really about getting rid of the Kurds rather than fighting ISIS.
  14. Agreement allows U.S. to operate manned, unmanned planes from air base near Syrian border By DION NISSENBAUM in Washington, EMRE PEKER and AYLA ALBAYRAK in Istanbul Updated July 23, 2015 8:28 p.m. ET Turkey agreed to allow the U.S. to use air bases there to launch strikes against Islamic State forces in neighboring Syria, a major shift long sought by Washington and sealed... [need to subscribe to see full story at WSJ] http://www.wsj.com/articles/turkey-to-let-u-s-military-launch-strikes-against-islamic-state-from-turkish-soil-1437675582?mod=e2tw Story from Fox News... The United States may now launch manned and unmanned military strikes against ISIS from inside Turkey, the Wall Street Journal reported Thursday. Prior U.S. airstrikes against the Islamic State have originated from aircraft carriers in the Gulf. Turkey agreed to allow the U.S. expanded use of its Incirlik Air Base, though Turkish military aircraft won’t be used in any operations against ISIS, according to Today’s Zaman, an English language daily based in Turkey. Incirlik is located near the Turkish-Syrian border. The U.S. currently has six Predator drones at the base, two of which will be armed with Hellfire missiles, according to Zaman. The news comes amid increasing violence along Turkey’s 560-mile long border with Syria. ISIS is believed to have been behind a suicide attack on Monday that killed 32 and injured 100 mostly Kurdish activists. Kurdish militants, many of whom blame Turkey for not doing more to stop ISIS, reportedly responded by killing two Turkish police officers. A border-area gunfight erupted Thursday between suspected-ISIS extremists and Turkish police, leaving at least one dead on each side. White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest was asked about the reported air base agreement during his Thursday briefing but he declined to discuss specifics. President Barack Obama spoke with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Wednesday night in a conversation the White House said focused on Turkey’s border security.“The two leaders discussed efforts to deepen our cooperation in the fight against ISIL,” Earnest said. http://www.foxnews.com/world/2015/07/23/report-us-may-now-launch-isis-strikes-from-within-turkey/
  15. This is absolutely wrong. The patriotic crowd does not give a pass to the US Military. That's okay when you see what the world is really capable of you will be wishing for some of those noble and pro-liberty efforts you so despise. A soldier is honorable and ethical. People like you an politicians who tie soldiers hands beyond what they should be cause our soldiers to die on the battlefield. You think the bombs dropped on Japan was done without thought? You think had Germany got the bomb that they would not have used it? You need to do more research on this subject and see how far advanced Germany was before the Allies intervened. Not all as you make it out to be. To defeat a psychopath, our psychopath has to be better than yours. Remember that because that is how the real world works not some utopia you dreamt up where we all sing kumbaya all day long hold hands and love one another. Even Jesus knew there was a time people must stand and fight. That s when he told his disciples to sell their cloaks and buy a sword. I do not want war more than anyone else. However, I must not be foolish and say that because I don't want war that I will not go to war. Only a fool draws a line in the sand and when its crossed stand back and draw another. If you are not prepared to go through with your bluff, then you have no bluff.
  16. Trinity your attacks on me don't work man. You and your ilk have let the filth through the front doors of this country. When they come to cut off your head because you will not convert, I will be laughing my derriere off at you. Keep on point. Attack the argument and not the person. As Bobby would say, Idjit! (Supernatural reference for you)
  17. This statement in itself is looking through history with today standards. Its ludicrous and ignorant. This statement is why soldiers on todays battlefields have their hands tied and the rules of engagement dictated by politicians. Yes the bombing of the Japanese cities were horrendous but the options at the time would have destroyed far more. You call one of the greatest generation psychopathic. Thats like calling all who fight terrorists psychopathic. Kamakazi were yesterday's suicide bombers only against military targets. POWs in Japanese encampments were almost comparable to that of Civil War era POW camps but only three degrees worse. The amount of man power to take the islands of Japan the destruction of those islands and cultural losses would have been immense not only to Japan but to the world as well. You call is psychopathic, war is evil and it was the lesser of two evils. America dropped leaflets before it dropped those bombs. Japan had a choice. They chose wrong and suffered the consequences. To chide the decision of a war weary nation 70 some odd years after the fact is revisionist history which leads to ignorance. Remember America did not pick a fight with Japan. Japan bombed us on a Sunday morning killing innocent civilians, men, women and children. Or did you somehow forget that. War is hell. You want war, prepare to suffer the consequences of your actions. Since the advent of dropping the bomb on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, politicians have had more control over the battlefields and look where that has gotten us. Our enemy uses our ROE against us and our soldiers die because of it.
  18. BY KATIE LAPOTIN (1 DAY AGO) | HEADLINES, WORLD Afghan intelligence agency NDS reported Friday that Hafiz Saeed (Khan), the leader of the Islamic State, or ISIS in Afghanistan and Pakistan, was recently killed via drone strike. The agency said, per CNN: “As a result of efforts made by the NDS, the location of ISIS fighters’ gathering was found and the information was shared with the coalition forces who then carried out an airstrike on them.” Saeed is believed to have perished along with about 30 other ISIS members in the strike on Achin in Afghanistan’s Nangarhar province. His death has yet to be independently confirmed. The Islamic State has yet to respond to the reports of Saeed’s death nor has the Afghan government confirmed the strike, per the BBC. He was previously rumored to have died while planting a bomb in April. He is not the same Hafiz Saeed, who has a $10 million bounty on his head for orchestrating the 2008 terror attacks on the city of Mumbai, India. Friday’s strike was carried out by American-led coalition forces in coordination with intelligence provided by the spy agency. A senior U.S. military official toldNBC News: “Were there some leaders among those killed? Probably, but we have no confirmation,” adding that there was no confirmation that Saeed was among the deceased. A similar strike conducted Tuesday reportedly killed Shahidullah Shahid, a former member of the Taliban who later defected to ISIS. Shahid’s death has also not been independently confirmed. Although the branch of ISIS in Afghanistan isn’t as big or successful as its Syrian or Iraqi counterparts, it has been tied to violence in recent months. A suicide bomber in April killed 33 people and injured more than 100 others in front of the Kabul Bank in Jalalabad.
  19. Let me join the fray here because I find Maggie's hypocrisy laughable when it comes to this. First the web site - its a Syrian blah blah blah humanitarian website. So we find the bias in their - About page. This site is biased towards Assad. Second, there are no "official documentation" from the United States Government sourced in that article. So what are the sources of the article, the article first quotes an op-ed from a newspaper, then goes on to quote from a report released by Judicial Watch. (JW is something Maggie would vehemently try to discredit if she knew more about that non-profit foundation.) So the article says it has official documentation but only from one reputable source - Judicial Watch. Judicial Watch is not part of the United States government, it is wholly separate and independent of such entity. So Maggie, there was no release of "official [government] documentation" in the article and you quote the entire article. I suggest you yourself reread the article with a pen and paper at hand. Write down the source and then tell me which quote in the article is from a government document. You also give the implication that the article in itself a government document and then give a hyperlink to the site. I remember you had quite a reaction when I gave you a link to Memri.org. Think of your reaction and flip the sides. ISIS continues to exist through the advent of Islam. This is what the clerics and mullahs envision Islam to be and it is their goals. Whether you call them Al-Queada or ISIS or Taliban, if you take one of them down another will pop up, why? Because Islam/Quran/Hadiths are the problem. While their prophet may have claimed the Quran is from their god Allah, the interpretations are not. Their interpretations are from man and it is man that commits these dispicable acts. Islam was never and will never be hijacked because the hijacker is the hijackee. Until Islam is severely reformed or put down like a red headed step child, it will continue to spawn these organizations of shaitan.
  20. First, not everything Iraq does is geared towards the RV. They need to survive after the RV takes place. Sometimes people on here remind me of the character on Game of Thrones. Hodor says: "Hodor". That's all he ever says. Hey Hodor, is the sky blue? Hodor! What is the comutational value of that thhingamabob? Hodor, Hodor! Why yes, Hodor you are right it is two Hodors! /s Second, what is happening here is that members of the terrorist organization are purchasing smart cards to 1) get money, 2) to show that they were not supporters of the terrorist organization or have been a member of the terrorist organization. Its like buying false documents to prove you have a social security number to get welfare benefits from the feds. Iraq is foolishly using these cards to determine whether or not a person is or was a member of daash. Should an individual own one of these cards, then it shows to Iraq that the owner is innocent of being associated with daash. The news is stating that the smart cards are being bought for up to 35 million dinars. In USD that is HODOR!.
  21. Only one problem in this theory... the 25K note does not match up to any other major world currency notes. A 20K can be introduced either while the 25K note still remains in circulation or the 25K note phased out before the introduction of the 20K note. A 5 and 20 makes a 25 and a lot more combinations can be had with a 20 than a 25 note.
  22. Snippet: As a variety of Kurdish forces continue containing the Islamic State’s (ISIS/ISIL/IS) advance in Syria and Iraq, leaders are becoming increasingly vocal about the establishment of an independent Kurdistan, with some sources close to the ground telling Fox News that Kurds are dedicated to the formation of a new state–“whether the U.S. likes it or not.” http://www.breitbart.com/national-security/2015/07/03/we-have-suffered-like-the-jews-kurds-ready-to-build-own-state-whether-us-likes-it-or-not/
  23. Apparently not enough so that he stays dead. He's like the gopher carnival game... he pops his head up and they keep awhacking the mole.
  24.
