Stryker - We Are Now Down To Days And Not Months !
egbert replied to DinarThug's topic in Dinar Rumors
No kidding. Time sure has passed. I think I first bought in November 2009, and I log in and see almost exactly the same posts, just different names. -

With all of the recycled material going on about the banks, I thought I'd just post something I recall from 2011. Nothing ever changes. After holdign this for over 4 years, I no longer believe any of the RV stuff, but I do hope that the Iraqi Dinar becomes a traded currency at some point in time. Until then, I sit, wait and check in every 6 months or so. Good luck all. -
And people wonder why there are so many who hype up the constant "rumors". I've been in this since 2008, when i got caught up in the hype of the then "impending RV at 2.89". I was glued to this site and the chat room for months salivating over how I would spend my riches, and contemplating buying more and more dinar. Over that time, I learned that the posts had been the same for 5 years and the RV was ever impending. I've accepted the fact that IF it happens, it will happen on its own time, and no one on this site has any real intelligence into the happenings of the Dinar. If they did, then it would have RV'd way back when they they first said it was impending. If you don't believe me, just quit monitoring this site cold turkey and come back in 90 days (30 if you want) and read the posts. Still hoping for a RV.

Stopping in for my 90 day check in. Glad to see the RV still just a weekend away. Lot's of new names - helps keep the excitement going.

Bingo!

I'm flying to Texas as soon as I have the address. -
I always wanted to know who the vessels of intel were that form the basis of all of the predictions we see. Now I see them all neatly listed above. No wonder it hasn't happened. #10 is my favorite.
-
Shoot, I'd be thrilled at .10.

Or one week in the dinar world.

Isn't that the truth. I love it! -

Deposed - you mean Clinton? Bush served his 2 terms. Still waiting for proof that Bush ever lied about anything. -
I can agree with this much of your statement. Two years I've read the same stuff over and over - it will happen if and when it is in their best interests and none of us have clue as to what they are looking for.
-
Could not agree more. Great post
-
Wow, log on first time in about 4 months and seeing the exact same kind of posts. It is so addicting - you don't realize it until you go cold turkey for a while and log in and see the same things you saw months and years ealier. Still, it is fun to be excited.

Do you tell others about your dinar investment?
egbert replied to Nelg's topic in RV & Dinar Questions
After being in this for 2 years and seeing the same thing happening now that was happening 2, 3 and more years ago, I am more hesitant that I was. At first, I bought into the hype that this was "imminent" and felt i needed to let people know immediately for fear that they would lose out on something special. Now, I discuss it more casually and as a long term speculative type of investment. -
I was just poking a bit of fun at the continual 48 hour time clock we seem to be on.
-
Isn't it the 15th in Iraq? I guess that means only another "48 hours"
-
Pity his post got locked out. Turns out he was no less correct than anyone else posting information here. In fact, he was 100% correct. No RV this past weekend today or tomorrow. We've got to stop bashing those who don't tell us what we want to hear. We all want it to RV, but just beause we want it to, does not mean that will or must. Hang in there and be patient.

Your problem is that you are reporting straight from the horses mouth. The way that this should go is that you heard from "friends" of 2 family members that work at the banks. The reality is that no one on these sites has a clue as to when this is going to happen. Only a few people do and they are not in this country. No one in Iraq is sitting there worried about "investors" in any othe country. It will happen when it happens. I've had my dinar for 1 1/2 years and know others who have had theirs for 4+ years. What we hear now is really no differenet that what we heard 1 1/2 years ago and then 4 years ago. The main difference now is that chapter 7 sanctions seem to be lifted. It feels different now that something everyone said had to happen has happened, but there is no new proof that the RV is iminent.
-
This is as accurate of a prediction as any of the other "fact" based predictions that have been made so far. Love it!
-
They've been on "high alert" for 2 years.
-
I don't recall him saying that at all. In fact, it was always the opposite - but his adminstration did believe that Iraq should pay us back at some point.
-
Signs that the dinar will enter the international market
egbert replied to QTen's topic in Dinar Rumors
One real big red flag with the logic is that this adminstration loves high unemployment - as it creates the potential for more government reliance. So the high unemployment rate would not do anything to force this adminstration to try to force an RV. I'm assuming your logic is they are concerned about the unemployment and that the RV would change the economics, but that's assuming that an RV would create lower unemployment - and looking at lotto winners and the high % that quit their jobs, there is no evidence to suggest people would go back to work just because of an RV or that jobs would be created. -
Here's how to test this. Try to order Dinar from the regular non-bank sources - if you are able to, then NO RV is happening this weekend. Remember, always buy from the banks - cut out the pumpers and the BS/rumors will die.

Nice to see this kind of post in the midst of all the carrot dangling. I've never had a feeling from anything I've read or seen that even remotely suggests that Iraq is stable enough for a RV. In November, I felt we were optimistic to think that an RV would occur, if at all, late this year, but nothing really has changed in Iraq since November, so I just cannot see anything happening to the Dinar for at least another year.
