I think we all agree that the news has stated that the CBI has pulled in dinar. However, the issue here is that if they have been recirculating it, it matters not how much they pull in because its being put right back out there.

I second what Hopeful said, Iran has been president so it really has no bearing on the RV who the OPEC president is. Sorry.

I definately don't have this figured out...but I do know this is written by an economist, therefore, his/her opinion is no more valid than yours or mine. It offers hope, as we all want, but its an opinion piece. We shouldn't be arguing about an interpretation of someone elses opinion. Take it for what you will.

This goes along with several news articles from a week or two ago that the second reading is when Parl. Returns, and then they hope to pass it 3 weeks after that. This, if course, pending they have no adjustments to make to the budget which will drag it out even longer. So hopefully by the end of Jan there will be a budget!

Their country is already falling apart and there are no troops to help them. it is my opinion that they cannot RV anytime soon, they can't even control their own government, an RV at this point would be mass chaos. Its going to be a lot longer than we think, IMHO of course.

I am an older person , who by age alone is an educated and well-versed person. I have no problem leaving this site as I am appalled by the way I am unable to express my opinion without being ridiculed. Just because I say things that you don't want to hear does not mean what I say isn't true. The people encouraging me to leave are the ones that Adam is trying to eliminate on this site, as so many respected members have left due to not feeling free to speak their minds. The funniest part is that you have absolutely no proof that Chapter 7 is lifted, and I have proof (by the articles which are now fully copied on the un.org website) that chapter 7 has NOT been lifted. I am a VIP and have supported this site and I am truly disgruntled at the immature comments thrown at those of us who disagree with the majority. We al want the same thing and to the person who told me to do my research, I laugh. I have been in this almost 6 years and have my own set of currency profesionals that I will compare to Adams when the time comes to find the best information. I have been to Iraw on several occasions and have two immediate family members who are highly decorated military officers. I research all over the internet andf have made friends in the Middle East that I consult with regularly. That, my friend, is more research than most people have access to and I trust in my own "research" that this is not done. And there was a comment about not needing to lift Ch 7 to RV??? I never said it had to be lifted so I'm not sure where that came from. Again I wish everyone luck, I do not have the time or patience for the people on this site that have nothing better to do than sit online and comment on everyones posts that they disagree with. I will sopend my time taking my research and intel to the "other" site (s) that are way more appreciative of my intelligence. I was warned about this site a long time ago...I sincerely hope Adam reads this and see what damage some of you people cause.

We need to stop trying to convince each other that this article is fake. Read the article and decide for yourselves. I bet if Adam were to come on here and say "its not done", we would all believe it. Come on people, read, research and make decisions for yourselves. Listening to everyone else who has no more of a clue than you do is toxic. Go on any other respected forum (yes there are one or two other than this one) and you will see that this isn't an issue. Chapter 7 is not lifted. Its that simple. HCL still has issues to work out, its that simple. I'm starting to shy more and more away from this fprum because we have all become our own pumpers and then evryone gets mad when things don't have that they feel should happen. Once again, this is NOT about us, its about Iraq. I seriously doubt the UN would put out false info and "smoke screens" to fool the world and until someone shows me otherwise, Chapter 7 is not lifted and we continue to wait until the next 6 month review.

I guess I'm trying not to read between the lines here....but why isn't it ok for them to use the same wording? The issues that needed worked on from June havnt been worked on.., so the progress is exactly the same. Notes/minutes are repeated all the time guys. Just being realistic. Sometimes we have to realize that not everything is done to trick us. "We" are not the ones this is all about, I think that is misconstrued way too often on these forums.

Nope, not lifted. too many "lack of effort" in many areas. So no HCL, no Chapter 7, and even the budget has issues that need resolved before it will be passed. 2012 will be an interesting year.

Come on guys, they're not out of Chapter 7 and we all know it. They've extended things for an additional 6 months (at least) and are not happy with the lack of progress in some areas.

I'm certainly not being a downer here, as I hope for the best as well. However, they have to have UN updates on Iraq every 6 months so this meeting would have been scheduled regardless of the troops. Also, if this is the happenings of lifting Chapter 7, don't worry about not finding out because it will be all over the news - no matter what country you live in! If the meeting was at 3 pm in the middle eastern time zone we probably shouldve heard something by now if the sanctions were lifted. I guess I am being cautiously optimistic, yet realistic due to the on-going issues with Kuwait. Let's hope they were able to resolve those issues "behind closed doors" or we could be waiting another 6 months.

It is not done until Parliament passes it and its in the Gazette. Until then, everything you read cshould be taken with a grain of salt. It will still e a little while for the HCL, still disagreements going on.

We doesn't that just figure, no budget bill or HCL in the agenda. And no, they're not "hidden", there is clearly still controversy regarding both bills right now and until it gets settled they won't vote. You and I would like them to hurry it up but apparently they are in no hurry.

What do you make of the articles in the last week or so regarding the "new" 50 note? how would that effect the current note and what's your take on the articles reading that the new 50 note would equal a 50,000 notes' value? (A lot of controversy on this interpretation and it referring to a LOP). Thanks....

Bad news. He clearly feels HCL still has a ways to go, which is why we havnt seen it pass yet. Its probably been sent back and forth behind closed doors. He admits openly that there is still much conflict about some of the HCL, even the previously agreed upon 2007 draft. So we wait and wait and wait some more. Into next year according to him.

This is nothing new, Parliamnet still has to approve it. Budget and HCL now will sit on their desk until they decide to pass them. Its a frustrating wait!

This is in the Rumors section and it is just that...Shabibi never announced the rate. He never even announced the RV. He talks about RD and all other crazy stuff, but We know nothing of a date, rate or that it will even indeed happen. Your guess is as good as mine!

Not really a sign of anything my friend. Banks stop/start selling all the time and for various reasons, none of which have anything to do with the RV. Even when it Rvs the banks won't stop selling, they will just change the rates.

This article was posted in another forum and so were the credentials of the author. He seems pretty well versed and experienced on the subject. Do the research on him and then make your assumption.

My apologies, I have just answered this same type of comment several times today. I sometimes feel some people just don't fdo theri research and get caught up in the "Oh, it's RV-ing right now" craze. In any case, my apologies. I've been in this 5+ years and i guess i forget I am more well-versed in this investment and in interpreting the news than other, "newer" people. You'd think my old age would have brought me some more patience by now!

This has been approved by CABINET ONLY. It still needs approved by Parliament. There is a huge difference. Please research before positing things that are misleading.....this has been discussed alot the past few days. PARLIAMENT still has to approve the budget and it could take weeks, just like the HCL is still sitting there waiting.
