  1. Thanks very much for this wonderful post! I may be missing the part I am looking for due to multiple cracks in my iphone; as such, can anyone let me know if I missed a portion of this law that discusses funds that are presently on deposit in WARKA? Thanks again- go RV!!!
  2. I agree with the summary of responses made in this - and other - threads. When you look at what Iraq has done and what they are doing, ie. , re-starting and increasing (almost doubling) the output in the northern fields, and publicly promoting the positive relations between Baghdad and Kurdistan, along with: the elimination of Daash, the public statements by Dr. Shabibi exposing Maliki, all of the actions made by the IMF and other worldwide monetary agencies, the articles from 8 weeks ago by the Iraqi scholar stating that the dinar should be at least 1:1, the statement saying they will not do anything with HCL in this period - is in fact all smoke. Although the country of Iraq is not listed as a publicly traded stock on NASDAQ, it must act the way that the companies listed there are and do - specifically, as has been said many times on this site: just as a company isn't going to announce an insider-trading secret, Iraq going to come out and say that they are going to revalue the currency on a specific day or ever at all. I don't think the Dinar is going to remain a permanently reduced rate or take as long as the Dong (40 years and waiting) to 'readjust' - the reasons we went to war with each country are completely different. Iraq is for the first time in it's existence going to be a capitalist and free society - I state that because they are taking and following orders from the free and capitalist societies as they transition. Not to mention the fact the the ones giving the orders want to profit from their investment of time, money, and human sacrifice. I for one won't be surprised if this 'hits next week' - and I sure hope it does as this November and all of 2017 are a long way off from my perspective!
  3. Chuck, once again, I completely agree with your logic and I myself have shared similar thoughts about Maliki. Forensic investigations are being done on him as we speak. My sense is that despite this being Iraq, it will not be that difficult to track down the money he stole. A house that can contain 30 million people sounds more like a small country - and that can't be hard to find. Couple that with the fact that the guy's ego is bigger than his head which makes me believe he wouldn't take the steps a normal person (non-psychotic) would take to hide the loot, which is made easier when others are offered deals to point out where the rat kept it. That's one of the reasons why I believe there are more outside influences and agencies being referenced as of late - historically speaking, Iraqui's have worked with 'strangers' from other lands quite well in this situation. $700Bb plus is worth going after and holding off an RV for 'a little longer', but I believe we've already passed that point. In retrospect, the time off in September may simply have been necessary to get a firm legal grasp on the slippery eel
  4. Chuck, I think you made excellent points. This ride' still has many variables and counter-variables, no matter how many times I look at it. The $3.30 rate is obviously appealing, but the number of iDinar n existence today vastly surpasses the number back in the pre-war era. That being said, the counter to that is that the country of Iraq has never had a chance to be a true capitalist nation - and it sure looks like it's headed that way now. Two articles that stick out in my memory when considering an 'RV' rate include an article regarding a port Iraq shares with neighboring Kuwait, and an article pertaining to the extensive wealth Maliki amassed while only earning the comparative annual salary of $10,000 - US. I believe the article mentioning the salary Maliki was supposed to get was an article referencing the fact that he was a 51% share-holder in a specific subsidiary of (I believe) Motorola wireless. Seeing the recent article by Dr. Shabibi about how much Maliki embezzled from the citizens of Iraq strengthens my perception of how far the nation has come as far as functioning as a capitalistic and free society, as there's no way that Shabibi could have come out with his statement till recently, and it further strengthens my perception that Iraq is very close to answering our long-awaited question regarding the new re-adjusted rate of the Iraqi Dinar.
  5. Good morning DV and Yota, who's day starts much earlier than mind - and in fact whose day never appears to end from the one before! This is another great article, which reflects another piece that will already be in place when their currency goes International!
  6. Thanks Thugs, for bringing these articles over - and for all the other ones you've brought over that I have not previously sandfly'ed you for. I appreciate these particular articles very much as they help 'put my mind more at ease.'
  7. Thanks for your input JG1 - I appreciate the feedback and will follow your advice. This was my first post in the rumors section but even 1 is too many in certain circumstances - peace.
  8. Well Luigi, one statement mentioned in this post is definitely true: I am confused. I don't know who this particular source of your is 'this time', but they do seem overzealous. As a follow up to the post made prior to mine, to anybody new to the dinar or any other form of worldwide (or local) investing, do not ever part with you dinar by giving it to strangers - no matter how brief the thief says it will be to convert your currency. I can not think of one reason why an investor (pre-nuptial agreements aside) would be prevented from discussing their experience with another. The Internet age allows for efficiency in all areas - including scammers!
  9. Thank you Yota, for posting both of the above articles. Although, on the surface, these articles did not elicit the same exciting response that I felt while reading the post regarding the three (3) versions of HCL, I am pleased to see these particular articles because the material they contain shows that concrete mechanisms and a foundation of stability in the topic they reference will already be in place when HCL is passed.
  10. Well, it looks like the new oil minister was legit, along with the recent meetings referenced with Barzani. I have a good feeling that Iraq is finally getting ready to evolve into at least a second and hopefully a first class world economy!
  11. Good morning, Yota, and thank you for posting what I consider to be 'the encouraging article of the day.' You haven't disappointed me at all this past week, and I look forward to more of the same in the next several days. This particular article is unique and especially encouraging, as it reflects harmony expressed by Barzani, which is something I rarely see - as is the reference to the meeting taking place in the US Embassy.
  12. Just what other natural resources do they have besides oil and natural gas? That pile of some 'white material' next to the suitcase is reminiscent of a scene from 'The French Connection.'
  13. Thanks again for another great post - which is another strong indicator that Iraq is going to announce 'soon' that they are functioning with an internationally recognized currency.
  14. Awesome article! I personally don't see this going past September - there are many simultaneous articles that show all the energy going in the same direction - toward an international status and with the proper political harmony to substantially increase the dinar to dollar ratio.
  15. Thanks again Yota - this is a great thread to see first (or second or third) thing in the morning. I personally agree with statements made above regarding the new oil minister, and especially with the ISX articles as of late.
  16. One thing I've learned while being a member of this site, and by reading the news that comes out of Iraq, is how truly blessed and fortunate I am. Despite 'day to day challenges,' they pale in comparison to the one described above. God Bless America!
  17. This is very timely and consistent with the doubling in output of the Turkish line that's supposed to be implemented this week as referenced in the article Yota brought over in the last 24 hours. I personally hope my 'male intuition' is correct and that the flow of oil after a 5-month lapse, followed by a doubling in it's output only days later, is an indicator that this ride is almost over and that HCL has been worked out behind the scenes!
  18. As Denunzio from 'Caddyshack' once said: "what a jerk." It's nice to finally see the implementation and use of the laws that exist to stop and discourage this behavior from happening. I expect to see a lot of 'finger-pointing' as arrests like these unfold, and a lot of them pointing to the former Prime Minister!
  19. This site - and especially it's members - is really awesome. I sincerely appreciate the time that everyone took to respond to this post, which I started just yesterday. I will contact WARKA with the advice given in these great suggestions and let you know how I do. Thanks again - Presence
  20. The last correspondence I received from WARKA was in November 2015, when they sent me an email regarding an update on their end. Historically, I would communicate with Mohammad Issa via email for password updates regarding my checking account and in regards to paying annual checking account fees. However, since then, I haven't received any replies to my email requests regarding the aforementioned. Does anyone have a similar experience, or can anyone verify the correct email address for WARKA? Thanks to the DV community for help with this, as I am trying to get things straight before things change!
  21. This is a great update - they now have a guideline in place for international banking which will ultimately allow the supply and demand of the currency to change - for the better.
  22. Thank you for the post - and for everyone's input. The timing and detail of this article is excellent, despite the fact that it appears to be an opinion piece. Hopefully it is in fact a 'heads-up' type of message for the masses as was suggested above. And GregH, thank you for offering to talk to your friend about this. I've read many of your posts- all of which I've enjoyed - and wanted to acknowledge your effort despite the lack of timeliness on my part.
  23. Thanks Yota - this is a rather timely piece of evidence that shows Iraq expects a lot of financial business - and now - not soon!
