No Sodium Fluoride is definitely the core ingredient in rat poisons and Prozac. I use Xylitol instead of sugar. It is natural and VERY good for you. It creates an alkaline environment in your mouth, so the plaque producing germs cannot thrive in your mouth. It also enhances the ability of your saliva to produce calcium forming agents to build or rebuild your teeth whilst you're asleep. That is why, after I brush my teeth with a fluoride-free toothpaste, I then have a quarter teaspoon or less of xylitol and let it dissolve in my mouth, just before bed time.
