  4. hahahah! I can imagine thousands of people going to their local bank and having the teller say "what's a dinar?" now. Actually it's pronounced "dinner" and if you're askin' me on a date, you're buyin'.

  6. to be saved by Jesus, you must first realize that you also need to save yourself. Things don't just happen through hoping. Things happen through hard work. If you're poor, you will remain poor until you decide to do something about it. TRULY do something, I mean. If you're sick, you will remain sick until you take it upon yourself to strive to get well. If you are abused, you must first defend yourself before you are protected.
  7. Doesn't anybody believe in the powers of good overcoming the powers of evil anymore?
  8. These countries are TAKING THEIR GOVERNMENT BACK from oppression. I respect their attitude. They want to make the change in their world. watch this video: and tell me that they aren't doing the same thing. Americas revolution was the first, but surely not the last. These people deserve to be free, and they're fighting for it. All the power to them! peace and love -jaaamie
  9. Wait, that's the Chinese new year. What does Chinese philosophy have to do with the Middle East I like the wishful thinking though! Imagine February 5th, The day before my birthday, BEST PRESENT EVER!!!
  10. I love everyones answers. Very creative and thought provoking, but the first thing that comes to mind for me is this: It's not the matter of a trick question or a play on words. Basically: The motel owner/Hotel proprietor (whichever you wish to call him. Potatoe:potato had the money in his hands for a certain amount of time. He paid the butcher, who paid the pig farmer, who paid the co-op, who paid the ****, who paid the hotel owner. Full circle right? Now, take a second to consider the amount of money ACTUALLY spent on a stimulus. Relative to the hundred dollars spent here. I'm not trying to say One hundred dollars is too little money for a 'stimulus' to work. What I am saying is, In a stimulus, the money has to come from somewhere. Sure the money came from the patron, but he ended up revoking his payment. Nobody really owned the money they spent - not even the proprietor - and that single fact proves nobody got paid. The debt still stands, as is - however unbeknown to the citizens of the city. Where if you take the REAL stimulus, it put everybody back money. Spend money to make money is the whole idea behind a stimulus. Everybody spent money, nobody made money. The big thing that everyone is seeming to look over is that the renter took the money back. It's almost as if the prospective renter is the government, every one else is the taxpayer. That's my two cents. OH, and a what's a hooker doing renting a hundred dollar motel room? where's the profit in that? And where does the drug dealer factor in to all this? Hookers require drugs to operate. It's like hooker gasoline.
  11. I got my Dinars at Continental Currency Exchange. They told me that they had to order them in special due to the high demand for the currency at that time.
  12. Just a correction, the only one who I felt was rude was PhillyDinar. We all did our best to answer his question but honestly, Obama did not say much in respect to Iraq...
  13. Nothing, He mentioned that USA is pulling troops from Iraq, and their government is becoming stable once again. Unless he has more to say later, I don't think what he said has any weight in our investment.
  14. I feel like an idiot doubling back - I just sort of skimmed and skipped through Sandy's Post. Thanks for bringing that to light Kev. Makes some sense that they could have easily skipped over IQD and accidentally clicked KWD. I can just picture the web dev sitting in his chair... "silly investors. how's this for a rumour?"
  15. BANG BANG SHOOT SHOOT NOT SHOOT SHOOT BANG BANG! GOD IF YOU'RE GONNA BRING OVER SOMEONES QUOTE DO IT JUSTICE Nah, i'm only kidding. Love John Lennon too much to even begin to harsh you on that one +1!
  16. thanks sandy, that's what I was eluding to +1
  17. Nobody is being negative. I think you took it in the wrong context. They're simply bringing to light the actual situation. Nobody is discrediting that yeah you found it, and I think the closest thing to a -1 will be on your latest post. The simplest explanation is that it is a webpage, and the owner of the site could have made a simple input error - all things considered that would likely be the case because it is the only page not matching all other pages. YES that rate would be awesome YES that rate would make us all very rich and YES it says 1USD:0.2798IQD but it simply doesn't make it a valid rate I think I speak for everyone when I say thanks for the observant eye, but.. it's just not true. I even +1'd you on your initial post Keep your chin up.
  18. It makes clear sense to post a thread with such a title considering the content. More people are going to respond to this type of post if the title is as such. For example - and I've done this in the past. I posted a thread with the title "RV TOMORROW" to express my belief that it would not in fact RV. Nowhere in my post did I state it will revalue the next day, quite the contrary actually. It's marketing, getting your message out in the most effective way possible. Personally I like the post. I like how Shaun in educated on the potential of the RV but also had the respect to say he does not research it. It really eludes to the fact that there could be whispers going around.
  19. To believe in God is simply to believe in a greater power. Neither controlling or determining our fate - as he has relinquished that duty to us as humans. To believe in God is to believe in yourself, and to hold yourself up as special. My personal opinion on the matter is that the Holy Bible was a metaphorical teaching of doing good, and do better ourselves as human beings. It is not written history, but an amalgamation of psalms and stories to help us lead healthy and loving lives.
  20. Baghdad (news) .. expect a member of the National Alliance Mohammed Naji nominate ministers to resolve security prior to the Arab summit. Naji said in a statement singled out by the Agency (news) today: “The issue of resolving the security ministries need to rally a national consensus by all political parties, as happened to the other ministries.” He added that “all political forces in the insistence on resolving this issue soon.” And on the names of candidates for office security, said the prime minister had a significant number of names and some of these names are known in the efficiency and expertise and are all subject to study and research. “ Was nominated by the existing Iraqi Ministry of Defense, Falah al-Naqib, Iskandar and berries, and in return ask the National Alliance of three names to take over the Interior Ministry, Adnan al-Asadi, and Shirwan Waili, and Akil Turaihi. And there is strong competition between the candidates amid speculation that the candidate receives a pay Wazzarp the consent of all clusters. http://bit.ly/hst8Go thoughts?
  21. The interest surrounding their current debtload is going to hit them like a ton of bricks. Will China come to the rescue? Will Iraq Revalue before this occurs? What will happen to the morale of the US people? What will the government do? a number of things you should consider, because regardless of whether or not it will happen - and my personal views being that it is imminent - planning is the key to successfully staying afloat.
  22. Plain and simple, I just don't see it happening... A lot of talk regarding the revaluation happening today has been circulated on the boards. I'm not saying it's a pumper strategy, because for all we know it was genuinely somebody being told todays date and sharing it with people. I for one didn't expect it today, or by the end of the week. As far as that goes, nobody truly knows what next week holds... Has anybody who still believes that today will be the day stopped and considered that it is currently midnight in Iraq - meaning the GOI has disbanded for the day? We won't see any more developments. the source that put me on this investment keeps telling me to keep my chin up, and remember we're working on Iraqi time. But as deep as my trust runs with him, I still take a moment to formulate my own views on the matter. My suggestion is, sure, listen to what others have to say, but at the end of the day BE REALISTIC ABOUT WHAT CAN HAPPEN AND WHEN. Peace and love -jaaamie
  23. 'GET ME A ROCKET SHIP. OR A VERY LARGE AIR BALLOON.
  24. The US - though a very strong country in spirit - has had its fair share of economic downfalls as of late. The immense amount of debt they owe, and the money they have been spending on healthcare to better the lives of their citizens is bound to - for lack of a better word - bite them in the ass some time in the future. But don't take my word for it, do some research (and I don't mean the nightly news) look at the trends of US Based stocks and companies. Compare to other times of economic hardship and definitely be ready in the event that something does transpire.
