  1. These links don't work. Do you have a proper link?
  2. I also heard that David Bowie will perform one of his earlier hits, Life On Mars, on Good Morning America just before the Dinar RVs. Has anyone heard this rumor???
  3. Hey folks, Regardless of what Discipledan may have or may not have meant, there are a few of things that anyone, with a little bit of investigation, can conclude: 1. We were created by God (we didn't just appear by accident or natural selection). The next time you want to believe that, think about a car, a computer, a skycraper and an airline jet - each one was created with meticulous planning and a purpose and could never, ever have come about by accident, yet we are much more complex than all of those things, yet we were created by accident??? I don't think so. 2, Cutting to the chase...Revelation is clear about what happens to Babylon - which is Iraq. It's not Rome, it's not the US, it's Iraq. Who would have though that Iraq would be where it is 10 years ago, but here we are saying that Iraq will be the richest nation on earth, but the Bible predicted that thousands of years ago. 3. Just because the Bible warns about Babylon, does not mean that people cannot own and get rich from the Dinar revaluation. What it DOES mean is that Christians cannot and should not focus their heart on Iraq and all its riches. Because, when the day comes, the Lord will say to leave Iraq (i.e. no more investments, not more accounts, no more getting rich from her) because he will destroy it and those things connected with it. We are not there yet, but it will happen at some point. That's what people refer to when they tie Babylon to the Dinar. Hope that helps. What? Do I have a direct connection with God and I hear him audibly every day? Of course not! But, God does say he will reveal his intentions for anyone who seeks his heart. Thanks
  4. Hi all, I will preface this post by saying that I have a good amount of Dinar and I hope to purchase more in the next month or so (or not - depending on when this thin RVs). I also think that this thing will revalue in June. I could be completely wrong, but I've though of June since Feb 2011 (been invested since Jan 2011). I also think it will revalue at between .86 and $1.73 with some kind of managed float to ensure the rise in the exchange rate does not get out of hand. Anyway, I digress. The reason for this post is to remind us about what every weekend brings from the pumpers, those who lie and those who are complete sociopaths because they love to hear themselves talk (or type), Anyway, here it goes, this is what we've seen over the last several months with absolutely "NO CHANGE IN STATUS!!" For entertainment purposes only: Sometime in 2009: PUMPER: I just got the confirmation that the RV is done. We will see it in Forex by Sunday or Monday DV Investor: That's great, I hope that's the case. Go RV!! Sometime in 2010: PUMPER: I just got of the phone with my contact in Iraq. He is very reliable. He said that Shabs just signed off on the RV. The rate is locked in, The only thing left to do is the logistics. But it is done. We will all be happy with the rate. DV Investor: That's great!! I hope that is the case. Go RV!! Sometime in 2011: PUMPER: I just heard. I have a reliable resource in the Iraqi Govt. He said that the govt just signed off on everything and the UST just approved it all. We should see it by Sunday or Monday and we will all be happy with the rate. DV Inestor: Wow! That's great! I can't wait. I know what I'm going to do, Mercedes, new house and 500 kegs of beer! Go RV!!! Do we see a pattern here? People keep lying and there are some of us who thank them for lying to us. I know, I know...we are all hopeful. I would love for it to RV next weekend. But honestly, I think it will RV in June. I don't have intel or relatives in the Iraqi Govt (that would be funny if I did ) I share all of this to simply say, don't believe the hype, only buy what you can afford to lose and whenever it does RV, be happy/content with what you have up to that point because it makes no sense to play the "if I woulda, shoulda, coulda" game. Just keep a level head and remember, life is more than money and things you can buy. Ciao!
  5. Thanks Nointel. I, for one, have always thought he was dead. I am also not surprised one bit that his body was "dumped into the sea" very quickly. It's almost too ridiculous at this point. For those of you who believe every single word that comes from our government - regardless of whether its a Dem or Repub in the White House - should go back and read up what our founding fathers wrote about the dangers of big government. If you think that our government would never do anything underhanded - ever, just remember several things: - JFK - Martin Luther King - Bobby Kennedy - Tuskegee syphilis experiments - Watergate (which was really all about covering up the JFK assassination) - Iran-Contra - Death of Ron Brown - the fact that we are trillions of dollars in debt and can only lead to a catastrophe for our nation - but our govt officials believe its business as usual - on and on and on... So now, people still say our govt is filled with people who are not power hungry who only want to do good for the American people and would NEVER fake such an event as the one announced on Sunday night. Please don't get me wrong. I love my country and the principles that it was founded on and I do believe that by some miracle we can turn our country around. But never, ever say that it is wrong to question your government. People that never question the govt. and always go along with whatever they tell you are no better than the Germans who allowed Hitler and the Nazi party to gain prominence in 1930's Germany. Now, I completely expect tons of bashing on this topic. That just goes to show that while some people have common sense and can think for themselves and always have a healthy skepticism of govt. others are simply naive and would rather spend their time only watching American Idol, the NFL draft and whatever CNN, ABC News and FOX News (yes, I said Fox News) feeds you on a daily basis (BTW - I am a huge football fan). That's why our founders doubted that we could sustain our representative republic (it's not a democracy BTW). Thanks for your time Vets!!!
  6. As you may have already guessed, they are pumpers - - - or are people that love to hear themselves talk (or type)
  7. ...uh, I don't mean to speak out of turn, but is this still a discussion board about the Iraqi Dinar?
  8. Thanks guys for the very positive feedback. Perhaps we need to officially title another kind of guru - a "keeping it real guru" to combat all the hype from all the other supposed gurus. PEACE!
  9. Since I've been invested in this thing (just a few months) and I've come to enjoy the posts by virtually everyone (even Okie - when I need a laugh), there are things I know - beyond a shadow of a doubt - to be true and things I believe are false. I will list them below, but I believe we could all benefit from taking a measured approach to our investment and only buy enough to where you know you would be satisfied when it RVs but also it would not break you if it did not. I feel badly for those of us who have to sell our Dinar back - that means you likely should not have purchased it if you cannot just let it sit, potentially for a long, long time (like some have done so over several years). Anyway, here are my thoughts about what is true and what is not. I would love to read your thoughts on the same. WHAT IS TRUE: 1. We all believe that the Dinar will increase in value at some point, simply because Iraq has too many resources to have a currency that is worth less than toilet paper. Look at Vietnam - theirs is worth less than toilet paper, but they don't have anything close to the natural resources that Iraq (and its neighbors) has. 2. Iraq (the govt, CBI), the US (Treasury, etc.) and others are working on the revaluation of the Dinar as we speak. None of us are sure how far along they are or when they believe it will be ready to RV. We just know they are working on it. 3. There is likely a misinformation campaign now in full swing. We've been reading from several sources that the Dinar may not RV at all, or slowly over the next few years, or that it might be in 2013, or... I don't think any of us believe that, but we have no concrete evidence to the contrary. I think it's a deflection by those who are running the show (history points to this time and time again in many other human endeavors). 4. No one on these boards knows when the Dinar will RV - I don't care how many contacts people have or how many people say they've heard this and that. No one on this board knows (but of course, many of us behave as if some people do know). WHAT IS NOT TRUE: 1. All the crap we continue to read from the so called gurus that "it's done" or that "it's just a matter of logistics" or "the rate is locked in" or - well, you get my drift. All of this stuff is BS. According to the gurus, this thing has been ready to RV EVERY WEEKEND since last year. Do we have an RV yet? No, we don't. But, we all keep thinking it's gonna happen every weekend. 2. It's just up to Shabs to pull the trigger. I don't believe this. If it were just up to him, his life would be in constant danger. That would be one person who has the power to create or demolish fortunes on a global level. I think (and I think we all think) that Shabs is involved with the GOI, IMF, US Govt and likely others to determine when the right time and right rate will be. In other words, it's a committee with many moving parts. It's silly for us to point to one single thing or one single person. 3. That gurus know anything. They know nothing, especially the ones who say they have contacts in the govt who feeds them info. The only thing being fed to anyone is BS to Dinar buyers to get them to buy more Dinar. Anyone who tells you over and over and over again that it will be this weekend because they heard from a contact is full of BS. Why do we continue to believe it? I know, because we are all hopeful :-) There are other things I could list, but these are the ones that were top of mind for me. I post this because some of us get crazy about this thing. Like most of you, I hope this thing RVs at $3 or more. If it does, it will significantly change my life. If it's 50 cents, then it will still have an impact, but not as significant (but I'll take it). I am with you all in my hope that this thing RVs and RVs soon. But, I will share a little advice I received from my divorce attorney a few years ago (BTW, securing him was one of the best decisions I made in my entire life). When I started going through my divorce, I was so anxious and I wanted to get this thing rolling so that it would be over in a month or two (it took more than a year and a half). My attorney noticed I was very anxious and he said to me, "hey, go for a bike ride, read a book, go have dinner with friends, enjoy your hobbies, etc. In other words, just go live your life and appreciate the things in life you can now enjoy. This thing will take care of itself at the right time." He was right. After months and months of ups and downs, the whole thing ended exactly the way I hoped it would. He was right. My advice to everyone on this board centers on two things: 1. Go ride your bike, go for a swim, have lunch or dinner with loved ones, read a book, enjoy your hobby or pick one up if you don't have one. In other words, live your life and this thing will take care of itself when it does. 2. If you are buying so much Dinar that it scares you that it might not RV, then you are buying too much. If you have a savings plan (i.e. you are setting aside some money each month for a rainy day), only take a fraction of that amount - 10-20% - and invest in some Dinar...THAT'S IT! Don't buy more than you can afford to lose. If you are tempted to sell yours back, then you've purchased more than you can afford to lose. Thanks for allowing me to go on and thanks for reading my post. You all have been a great group of people to interact with and I wish everyone nothing but good things. PEACE!
  10. len, that's a good point. Let's assume the RV happens at $3.22 right off the bat. Then what will people do?
  11. Hi all, I was just thinking about what I would do in the short and mid term if the RV were to happen in the next week or two. Like most of you, I get up and go to work every day in order to put food on the table and keep the lights on. I was wondering, what will people do regarding their work and professional lives once the RV happens (say, over the next 6 to 12 months). Please take a moment and think about what you will do regarding work during that timeframe. In the meantime, I will share what I think I would do. Yes, I've thought about this for some time. But, before I share what I would do, I'll share my mindset about what I would share and not share regarding this investment. When my friend told me about the investment, I was initially skeptical, but did the research and realized it appeared to be on the up and up but still highly speculative. He also mentioned that he had only told one or two people because - money (or the potential for a lot of money) does strange things to people. Having some understanding of human nature, I agreed with him. Now that I've known about this investment and have been invested myself for several months, I have only told three people - one of which is a close relative, the other two close friends. Other than that, I have told no one and I have asked them to swear they would not tell anyone I told them. In short, I want no one knowing that I am heavily invested in this - including most family members - after it RVs. I do plan to be generous, but I would rather everyone not know that I have a whole lot of money in the bank. Now that I've shared this, this is what I think I would do... 1. I would continue to work at least for 6 to 12 months. I really, really love my job, feel fortunate to have it and make a very good salary. I also think I would need to remain grounded and don't want to bring attention to myself if I were to leave without going to another job. People talk in my industry and in the city I'm in (it's a big city too). 2. I have been looking to invest in real estate before I learned of the RV, so I would begin heavily investing in real estate. 3. Once I was heavily invested in real estate, I would resign my position and do real estate (among other things) full time. That way, people would know that I had always planned to do that and would believe that I saved up enough money to make it happen - at least on an initial scale. 4. I would NOT buy a new house or a new car (I am perfectly happy with my living arrangement and my car has over 100k on it and is over 6 years old, but it is in perfect working condition, still looks relatively new and I love it). 5. I would of course give to charity, give to my church, set up several scholarships with the university I attended and at others (nothing outrageous, just big enough) and provide assistance to any family members that needed help - but off course, I would be very discreet. 6. I would travel about twice a year internationally. I love to travel and would go back to Europe and Asia - then to some places I had never been before (South America, Africa, Australia, etc) 7. Keep living my life. In short, I do NOT want to live extravagantly or draw unnecessary attention to myself. Most importantly, I want my money to work for me and grow! I also know, because human nature is what it is, that many people who cash in after RV with millions will be broke again in a few years. I only plan on living off a small portion of the interest or the return on investments from real estate, etc. Thanks for listening. Now, tell all of us what YOU would do regarding work in the next 6 to 12 months after the Dinar RVs. Thanks PS. OK, OK, I might by the new iPad2
  12. Thanks. Really appreciate the post. But, this is only the 500th time the words "it is finally here" or "right around the corner." Not biting and will continue my measured, long-term acquisition of Dinar as planned. If it happens - fine. If it does not - fine. Remember, only buy what you can afford to lose.
  13. Of course we all hope this is correct. We've been hoping this is correct for weeks, months and years. But, my better sense tells me this is a pumper. Not too many posts and just recently joined. Mmmmmm......... No bashing on my part (like I said, we all hope this is the case). But, I think we all know better than to believe a brand newbie with only six posts who just joined two days ago and all of a sudden predicts the RV will happen this weekend. Really? I mean, really? Just being realistic - but hopeful at the same time.
  14. I think we can all see it coming a mile away. April Fools is fast approaching and I think that we will not only see hard and fast predictions coming at the end of March, but we will actually have specific rates announced, where to go to cash in and people claiming that they've received e-mails and text messages from Adam ("I received my e-mail about where to cash in, did you get yours?). I think we should all be very careful, because there are so many "fools and idiots" who will use April Fools to falsely claim something has happened when nothing has. Does anyone agree???
  15. This is a very interesting post and although it does "sound" like it makes some sense, I'll have to pray about it to see if it adds credence or insight to what God is actually doing or allowing to happen. I'll have to think about this and post something later.
  16. Thanks for your response. I agree with you when it comes to local and state elections - but not some national elections and ESPECIALLY not the presidency. The presidency is the one office of the Federal branch that is extremely susceptible to fruad. Congress and the Judicial is much tougher - only because it's configured of more than one individual. I really LOVE what's going on in Wisconsin and NJ. It needed to be done and it needs to be done at the Federal level and I will do any legal thing I can (elections, writing congress person, etc.) that I can to see it happen. I have hope that it can, but I'm not hopeful that it will. So, to your point, needed change can still happen at the local and state level. I just happen to think the Executive branch is bought and paid for. Trump, Paul or whoever else can try as they might, but they will not be elected (even though I would vote for Paul). And, if they do get elected, then they will not last long - for obvious reasons. Finally, when you see how a large portion of our govt. has already been co-opted, think about Iraq and the Dinar. I really hope the Dinar revalues and I hope it revalues at at least $1, but think about everything that went into getting us where we are now - going all the way back to the first Gulf war and 9/11. I don't think most people would have the stomach to know truthfully what goes on behind closed doors. Sorry, got off on a tangent, but give me an audience and...
  17. I hate to tell you this, but Donald Trump will never be president. I like his personality and the Apprentice, but he will never win an election. It's sad to say that those elected US President are "selected" and NOT "elected." If I receive negatives for this, I'm sorry but I want to speak what I really and truly believe is the truth. Haven't you all noticed that regardless of who gets elected, we all keep moving more toward an inevitable goal of a socialist country that is heavily in debt with more restrictions on our freedoms? Politics in the US is really like a sport. Everyone has their favorite team and sometimes one team is winning and then another time another team is winning. But, they are two sides of the same coin. There are certain things Dems can do that Repubs cant do and some things Repubs can do that Dems cannot. For example, Repubs can go to war and spend billions of dollars doing it unapologetically - Dems really can't. But, Dems can expand govt like nobody's business and feel no shame in doing so - Repubs really can't. But, if you put them both together, you still get 1) Big Govt 2) Outrageous Spending, 3) Wars, 4) High Taxes and a host of other things that continue to push us to the edge. As for me, I am a conservative who has voted Libertarian and Republican, but in the last few years my research has proven to me that the game is rigged and the outcome of our national elections is already determined by people other than you and me. Yes, I still vote and I still love my country and I pray diligently that America would have wisdom during these times. We'll see what happens, but I can almost guarantee that whoever is next in line to be president will continue on with the things I listed above. Oh, and it won't be Donald Trump :-)
  18. Good post Keepm. I think the vast majority of us don't want to hear that. We want to hear things like "Maliki just named the last three ministers" or "Dr. Shabs will pull the trigger any second now." What we don't want to hear are things like Iraq is stalling because of Iran's influence - the more they stall, the more the US might be willing to give up more because of the precarious nature of its own Treasury. Now, I have no idea if that is really the case, but I know that there are likely some very sinister things going on behind the scenes that would make us cr*p our pants if we learned of it. I am just as hopeful as the next guy about a possible high RV, but I do have a life - and a pretty full one at that. Even if it never RVs, I still have investment plans for my money right now. For example, check out the ISX and the rate of return on savings at Warka - but no only Iraq but in Vietnam right now as well. We've got to all prepare for the worst (that it never RVs in our lifetime) but hope for the best (that it RVs at $3 immediately). Thanks for your post. We will stay thirsty.
  19. This is an interesting thread. First off, bgergens, please do not despair. I was in your same boat about two years ago. Just when things had gotten absolutely bad (financially, family-wise, etc), I came to a place of complete peace. Even though all kinds of things were swirling around me that wanted me to panic, God provided a complete sense of calm and peace. I didn't know I had to get there, but I did get there after a very long trial. But, once I got to that place of inner peace (regardless of what was going on) things started to change dramatically for me. Things changed to the point where things have completely turned around financially and family-wise. I could not have written a better script myself. In other words, God is faithful and he tells us never to give up. Can I tell you whether you should sell your Dinar or not? No, I can't tell you that. I do hope that you can hold onto it though. Secondly, for those who believe that a Dinar revaluation is the height of this whole Iraq thing, my friends this is only the beginning. I think Iraq is poised to be the wealthiest country on the face of the earth. How so, because you can see it happening now. I equate it to a pristine virgin who just started her first day at the local wh**e house (sorry, but this is the best explanation), Everybody, and I mean EVERYBODY wants a piece of her. Iraq is the same way - everybody wants a piece of her and it will only get worse (better?) in the next few years. I think the RV is one of many things Iraq will do to provide wealth to the world. The final thing about Iraq is that I believe what the Bible says in Revelation chapter 18 about Babylon (in present day Iraq) - how nations and kings became rich through her but also how so many became drunk through her. I'm not saying don't buy Dinar or invest in Iraq. Of course, I have Dinar. What I am saying is that it is inevitable that Iraq will be the originator of so much wealth in the world that if people are not careful, they could be lured in to something more sinister than they realized. Invest my friends. But, be wise about it. And, for those of us who call ourselves believers, God will one day tell us to get out of Babylon (i.e. leave that place and all she offers) because she will eventually meet her demise. And, once she does, people near and far will weep because she made so many wealthy. How does a country go from providing so much wealth to being destroyed in a day? I don't have the answer, but it definitely calls for wisdom and bears watching. Thanks my friends and hang in there bgergens. Your better day is near. ***Official williamromeo disclaimer: I believe what I do because of my faith and the study I have put into it. That does not require you to believe the same thing. Everyone's faith is ultimately a personal, one on one issue with the Creator, not me. If people are offended, just remember, I did not write it, I simply choose to believe it.***
  20. Of course, just like anyone else, it would be great if this were to happen tomorrow. But, I don't think this is accurate. How many times have we heard that "tomorrow is the day, tomorrow is the day" and it has all been incorrect and very wrong. Name me one time when someone's RV date prediction was correct......exactly!! For those of us that really need the money yesterday (and for the Iraqi people) I hope it does happen tomorrow. For others that want more time to buy more dinars and to open and fund Warka accounts, I hope it takes another few weeks or a couple more months. In one of the posts I read yesterday from "sol" he said that the CBI would stop auctioning dinar well before the RV occurred. Well, the CBI are still auctioning dinar and everyone is still selling it. it's NOT going to happen tomorrow, March 1 folks. Just continue to be patient and please try to take a somewhat longer-term view. I truly believe it will happen this year some time - just not tomorrow.
  21. Hahaha! I only joined the site a few weeks ago. I could not imagine people who have been on here a year or more always hearing about "rate is set and locked in" and " it will happen next Monday or Tuesday." After only a month, I am of the mindset that "I hope it happens this year." I have to admit, I did get my hopes up a couple of times over the last few weeks. But, what i've learned (and what I have to remind myself of) is that this is a speculative investment and there is the possibility that nothing will come of it. I do have a life, savings, other investments and I do fairly well financially (...I know that there are a lot of people on this board who are not as fortunate financially and are really looking to this RV for help - God bless you, I'm right with you). But, I'm just saying that I think I will get off the roller coaster, invest here and there in the Dinar with extra cash (only a fraction of my regular savings amount) and occasionally see what happens for the rest of the year. Go RV!!! Go people of Iraq!!!
  22. For some reason, I keep getting $1.73 for every US $ suck in my head (yes, it's painful - hahaha). Although none of us have any idea, this sounds as plausible as any other because at $1.73 - $1.78, that may keep the world from going in and buying up all available IQD. It also allows them to manage-float the rate up over time. It also seems to make sense that they would need quite a lot of oil in reserves to back the newly revalued currency. Finally, I read a post on here about 3 or 4 weeks ago which was very thorough and seemed to make the most sense of everything I've read (I cant remember who the poster is), but he/she said that they needed to get security squared away and appear to be stable and sovereign and it will likely happen in June of this year. As much as I wanted to have it happen today or tomorrow, if it happens in June, then I can complete the opening and funding of my Warka account and spread my eggs over several baskets (and, of course methodically buy more Dinar). Great post and thanks for sharing.
