  1. Happy Thanksgiving, everyone. Just enjoy each day and what God brings into your life (or doesn't bring). Give thanks to Jehovah, share your blessings with others, and look toward a brighter tomorrow.
  2. The direction and thinking process of those who hold to conspiracy theories: "Why bother with the facts when believing a lie is more exciting."
  3. Yep. And with such a philosophy we see the beginnings of the American ISIS forming.
  4. . . . and the world sets on their backsides and watches as these "cockroaches" run across the floor spreading the vomit and excrement of their religion and philosophy as peaceful change for the betterment of society. They are a diseased lot that needs to be taken out by force, the language they understand.
  5. One of the funniest episodes ever. It's a classic!! Thanks for posting. Trivia: wild turkeys can fly, but only for short distances.
  6. In some cities more than others. Most people know what neighborhoods "hoods" to stay away from during both day and night.
  7. By the way, before you start using Bible passages to try and validate your point, you might consider doing a word study before you state what it says. It will enlighten you tremendously. A contextual background study might enlighten you as well. You seem to think the Bible teaches a "flat" earth by the way you use those passages. It doesn't. God, in revealing truths to us through the His word, is never wrong. However, individuals are frequently mistaken when they try to read into the Bible what it does not say. The Bible is not wrong, but interpretations are often in error. This is one of those times. It's time to move on to more important and valuable topics. Bye.
  8. So to walk in a straight line is impossible for the traveler. He must change directions. Therefore the "flatland" theory is false. If the flat earth plane is in the shape of a circle then is not on an infinite plane but on an infinite circle. So no straight line or infinite plane can be found on a “flat earth.”
  9. On a flat surface a traveler will travel forever on a straight line without reaching the point where he started. He cannot reach his point of origin because it is a flat line without a curve or bend. The line is flat. If a person starts traveling in and on a straight line on our world, at some point they will arrive at the point where he started his journey. Why is that? Because the journey he takes on our world is curved to conform to the sphere of our globe.
  10. Enough to get the nick name "Spinner."
  11. Parents should have been called in to view the rebellious child. Then the rebellious child should have be expelled for a week. A new rule needs to be established for all schools: NO CELL PHONES USE IN ANY CLASS. If the young girl is not going to comply with the requests of the teachers and school authorities, then she should be dismissed from school entirely. Harsh? Not at all. When people act stupid you treat them as stupid (child or adult). We have a great many people who are trying to be "bad" thinking "being bad" is a good thing, rebellion is smart, and violence is the way to get one's point across. We have a whole society bent on glorifying evil as good, violence as a means to win, and disrespect as a badge of honor. As long as we continue to allowing our children to do anything they want without regard for other's rights, permit them to act with violence to gain an advantage or win a disagreement, then we will have fighting in the hallways of the schools, shootings in the streets will continue, and violence in the family will be the norm. We need to get real with raising out children, but we also need to get real about how we live life as adults.
  12. You mean the You Tube video's and internet articles and demonstrations might be wro. . . wronnn.....WRONG??! Oh, no! Don't tell me that!!!
  13. My life is reading and studying the Bible. That is not a waste of time. What is a waste of time is trying to find "things" in the Bible that are not there. Trying to "prove" that the earth is flat? For what purpose? Just a thought: If there is an eclipse of the moon, what kind of shadow is cast upon the surface? Round? Square? Does it have four corners or does it have rounded edges? Clouds are never "behind" the sun or moon!! Clouds are mist. When the brightness of the sun or moon is strong enough to "shine through" the mist, it only seems to be behind the sun or moon. It isn't. It is an elusion to the human eye. This is the elementary science!
  14. Why should I waste my time?
  15. what a jump of . . . ?? logic?? This is what happens when people don't understand the Bible and want to say something "profound"!! They come up with all kinds of junk passed off as "truth(?)! There are all kinds of ways to waste time. All of them work.
  16. Must have been a hungry bear! Most atheists are rather bitter and hard to digest.
  17. Oh, for a world filled with faith and trust in God and not the self! How things would change! It is the blessing of the LORD that makes rich, and He adds no sorrow to it. The rich and the poor have a common bond; the LORD is the maker of them all. A faithful man will abound with blessings, but he who makes haste to be rich will not go unpunished. Both riches and honor come from You, and You rule over all, and in Your hand is power and might; and it lies in Your hand to make great and to strengthen everyone. Behold, the man who would not make God his refuge, but trusted in the abundance of his riches and was strong in his evil desire. But as for me, I am like a green olive tree in the house of God; I trust in the lovingkindness of God forever and ever. I will give You thanks forever, because You have done it, and I will wait on Your name, for it is good, in the presence of Your godly one.
  18. Thanks Ron. It is difficult for many to understand that in death Jesus gives us the Joy of life. On a personal note: this is my second challenge with bypass surgery, the first was 25 years ago. Physical death was a very real possibility in both situations. The day of the surgery three of the shepherds came for a quick prayer before being rolled into the theater. After prayer we were laughing and joking with each other. They left and every thing started. One of the nursers said, "they didn't take things to seriously!" I overheard and said, "Oh, yes they did, but my death has already been resoled. I'm either going home or I am going Home. Either way it is pure joy!" What a joy to know that because HE LIVES, so will I. Again, thanks.
  19. My thanks to Danomite for putting this on DV. And thank you all for your prayers and concern. Here is an update . . . if I can get this said clearly. On Aug. 27th I had back surgery to remove a chip from a disk that had broken off and was cutting into my sciatic nerve and was not allowing me to walk, sleep, or even think. The chip was removed and gave me a great deal of relief. I met with the doctor two weeks later and got a good report on my back. So, I went home feeling pretty good. I took out the trash to the end of the drive, and the time I got back to the house I was having chest pains. Waited for about an hour without relief. I had this voice in my brain that kept telling me to get it check out . . . Actually it was saying, "Hey, stupid! Get to the doctor and have this checked." So I called a friend and headed for the Emergency Room. The next day I had three bypasses. At the same time the doctors had a little problem getting my lungs to re-inflated (they have to deflate the lungs to do the work on the heart). Well, we have all that taken care of now, and I just go out of CICU 4 hours ago and will be in the hospital for another 7-8 days. I am doing much better and the body of Christ has taken care of my family while I've been ill. But as we all know that the greatest power of recovery has been through the power of prayer. However, even if I had passed into the new life, He would still be the great healer and deliverer. And I would pray that everyone would continue to glorify His name. Thank to all of you for your continual encouragement and prayers. I still have a long way to go.
  20. It is clear from several passages that the saint is to obey the laws of the land. This is only right. If the saint does not obey then they will suffer the consequences of being disciplined by the government. “Submit yourselves for the Lord’s sake to every human institution: whether to a king as the one in authority; or to governors as sent by him for the punishment of evildoers and the praise of those who do right. For such is the will of God that by doing right you may silence the ignorance of foolish en. Act as free men, and do not use your freedom as covering for evil, but use it as bond slaves of God” (1Pt 2:13-16). “If you are reviled for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the spirit of glory and of God rests upon you. By no means let any of you suffer as a murderer, or thief or evil doer, or a troublesome meddler; but if any one suffers as a Christian, let him not feel ashamed, but in that name let him glorify God” (1Pt 4:12-16). In most situation it is a simple procedure for a saint to comply with the laws established by the ruling powers of government. However, in this case Ms. Davis held the belief that marriage is between a male and a female. It is the prescribed way for a couple to be joined together as husband and wife. It is against the moral teaching of the Bible for those of the same sexual gender to marry. This is the “faith” which she held for years. This law came into being “after” she had been in office for several years. For her to go against her conscious and sin is far worse than disobeying the law of the land or it’s rulers. It is always the case when believers are involved that the biblical laws and principles will always be the higher authority. In this case the Constitution is not the higher law; it is the Bible and biblical moral principles. In Scripture (Romans 14; 1Corinthians 8) Paul discusses the right for a person to eat or not eat meat that has be sacrificed to idols. The stronger saint knows that an idol is nothing and that eating the meat is not a sin. However, the weaker saint things that it is. In such cases, the stronger saint and the weaker saint are not to judge each other. It is God who says whether they will stand or fall. But we are not to be an example that might cause the weaker person to fall. Ms. Davis, in this case is going by both her conscious and the rule of Scripture. She is correct to make the stand she is making, and it is no doubt that she will suffer the consequences. But as for me . . . ? “The faith which you have, have as your own conviction before God. Happy is he who does not condemn himself in what he approves. But he who doubts is condemned if he eats, because his eating is not from faith; and whatever is not from faith is sin “ (Rm 14:22-23).
  21. The degrees of judgment for this nation continue to rise. At what point do we get to a point where God can no longer tolerate our consistent rebellion to His word and holiness? The moral attitude of the nation is reflective of those attitudes of the people. Rulers, no matter how high the position of leadership nor how lowly a position of service are not exempt from moral law of God. Break them, abuse them, reject them, change them, they are still there and the nation, leaders, and people are still accountable. Accountability means that individuals and the nation will stand to be judged by a holy and righteous God, Jehovah. We, as a nation, are moving closer an closer to that point where there is no desire to repent or time to do so. God's wrath may be on the horizon and we are failing to read the signs. There is a remnant of people who are still faithful to God, love the Lord with all their heart and mind, and would die for Him or to remain faithful to His word. They are praying for the people of the world and the leaders of the nations, calling for them to repent while there is still time. Be faithful to God. Pray for the nation's repentance. Pray for our leaders to repent. But be prepared for the troubles to come upon this nation because of the sins she has committed.
  22. Give honor to whom honor is due. He is certainly due the honor! May God bless his family with grace.
  23. None taken, but there are those who want to make this a political issue. However this has nothing to do with a political agenda but is a spiritual conviction of Ms. Davis. In today's climate of condemning anyone holding a spiritual conviction, the political label does not matter. If one is a Christian and holds faithfully to what one believes, there will be reprisal. It is the nature of the beast.
