Correct Sir. I have no idea if Kuwait has them or not, BUT 1 more time everyone. They are at a Bank northeast of Baghdad and at one 200 miles South of Baghdad, they have had them for at least 6 months and both managers said they could not realease them until they were told to. They would not open the plastic or let me touch them or take a picture. But the do have them this is not new info, or intel, or rumor, or lucky timing or anything else. It is just part of the process. As far as the contrators going on holiday, there are thousands of us over here, with many diff. companies. Yes we take vactions every 2, 3 or 4 months depending who you work for. 90% of the time there is coverage for you when you go on R&R. Plane loads leave everyday of us going out, and planes come in every day dropping off. No secret squirell stuff going on there. Just part of the process. This RV thing will happen when it happens, and trust me if it happens you will hear about it, meantime we have to be patient and wait it out. When the GOI and MOF and BOI and any other Dept. that needs to, gets their ducks in a row it should happen. So stay calm and patient. Just part of the process.

I could happen, Iraq is not stupid, they know alot of people outside the country have it. Secretly they don't want the rest of the world to profit off of their deal. They will try to do what they can to stop that. We all know that they do not and never have cared about the Iraqi people, so yes it could happen, I think it would be a mistake for the GOI to do this, just as I think it is not in their best interest to come out with anything over 1.20. It is an investment we all knew it was, we all know it is risky, we all knew going in we could lose everything we invested. We still all hope to profit, That is the bottom line risk versus reward. I will stick to it and hope it goes our way

Mikki from the Iraqi people I talk to and work with here, none of them think it is going to happen and they are all willing to sell me every Dinar they have for 100 dollar bills USD. They think and believe that their Dinar will never be worth anything. I try to convince them otherwise, but they have all been trading with the dollar for 40 plus years and have no interest what so ever to change. We all need to realize that these people have been held back and pushed down for sooo long that they do not trust any GOVT. Saddam used to kill people who tried to teach the ways of the world, and alot of these people have never even been to school. Hopefully this RV can get done and bring some long overdue good to this region.

Not really, it was a sealed plastic bundle and he would not let me hold it or open it. I even told him I just wanted a couple as gifts, and souviners, but no deal there. He was not going to do anything with them until he got word. I can confirm that serval banks are going up all over and they are all getting ATM machines. This has been going on for the better part of a year now. That is all of the Facts I have, that I have seen with my own eyes.

2 banks I have been to 1 in central Iraq and 1 in southern Iraq both have had the small denoms for at least 3 months and they both said they can't release them untill the CBI tells them to.

The ATM machines, they have been installing them for 0ver a year now, so that is nothing new. It is not popular because no one wants to think that small. Hey we all got in for different reasons, some are here just to pump, we all know that. Some are here because they need it, we all know that to. Some are here because they want to stay up to date with all info. Bottom line is no one knows for sure when, how much and if ever, that much is FACT. It is 1215 in Baghdad right now and it is 0315 in Texas that much I know. Just think if it RV's big time won't mean that much anymore. We will have no clocks to punch

I am with Linda on this one. It is really anyones guess and this is Iraq. They could do it today or sit back and celebrate the forming of the GOI, heck they could all be pating themselves on the back thinking they have done enough for now. Nothing they could do would shock me at this point. I am just hoping.........Quick and HIGH

WOW I don't believe it, I was told yesterday evening by 3 guys on a PSD team that it was done, but for some reason I just did not believe them, I just brushed it off as another rumor. Great how things happen when you least expect them. Good news for everyone out there. Sure hope there is more GREAT news to follow.

Dang it man, You are right on time with that post. This is about the most fact based statement I have read on here in a long time. People don't want to here everything comming out of here, they only want the good. happy, and progress making news. Well the FACT is that it is not always good, matter of fact it is rarely good. When it is a delay or bad news, everyone says its a smoke screen, or a cover up. Well folks no, not always, it is IRAQ. They don't have the same mindset as Americans, they don't get in a hurry to get anything done. They would rather have you do it for them. If it ever happens it will and if it doesn't it dosen't, , About the only thing we can do is hope and sit back and enjoy the ride, no matter how long it last. So don't bash people for giving info on what they see or hear if it does not fit your timetable and it is not what your favorite GURU reported. They have reports good, bad, negitive, positive, true, and false info just like everyone else. So give them and just your average poster a break. You can't please everyone all the time.
