IMHO,.. for too many years there were too many of us content to find our path, raise our families and in general just live our lives. We mistakenly entrrusted the system to keep us all equal through the application of law. There were many times in the last 30 years that we have collectively scratched our heads in bewilderment as to what some people were thinking, yet we carried on. It is what is known as a "Normalcy Bias" whereas we expect things to be as they have always been. Then the Meltdown of our economy occured culminating in TARP, Stimulus, QE1 and QE2,... and those of us who were content, immediatley realized that "any perscription without a diagnosis is malpractice"! We have been knocked out of our happy place, and THAT is what the Tea Parties are all about. If what is going on does not Harsh your Mellow,.... then you are not at all interested in self determination. Remain steady and calm is my best advice, this can not be a revolution, it is to late for that,... at this point we must prepare for a Stay behind Operation.

If the process of removing the Zeros can been accepted as getting all of the large bills back out from circulation, then the surest confirmation of this is being found in the outlying areas of Iraq,.. At present there is great concern over "Blackmarket" money lenders, or "Loan Sharks" as we call them. I have searched repeatedly for any news or posts of this happening and there are NONE! Yet boots on the ground are confirming that the complaints flooding into regional and local Iraq governments are now at the tipping point. With food prices rising, and no ability to resonably finance invoices many are reaching the point of terminal indebtedness. There is little proof of where the money to enslave these shop owners and merchants is coming from, but the smart money sez Iran is pouring it in. Shia vs Sunni rifts in the Iraq provinces are real, and have been left unaddressed in any meaningful manner, which has left many established and would be shop owners on the outside looking in. (Once the Shia control the distrubution and merchandising chains, the remaining Sunnis and Christians will be in serious peril). So, Removing currency from circulation can be confirmed by the lack of/ tight money supply at present within Iraqs borders, perhaps, therefore, raising the Value is the next step to check imbalances. You will never have the proof you are looking for until a historical account can be established after the fact, as we are at present, a World at War,.. we would all like to think we will have that someday.

I also IMHO think that the sheer magnitude of bringing this "Wealthy of a Country on-line" has been underestimated by those in charge of its care and execution. ,...Throw in Geo-Political wants, needs, and desires' and you get a never ending check/balances/checks cycle in which making the decision of execution becomes insane for those in charge!..

Here is my two nickels,... Our two largest external debt holders are China and Japan, within a short period of time Japan will NEED to cash in all of that/our debt they are holding,.. Think about that for a second, this is not some far fetched fairy tale. If Japan needs that Money at a time when QE2 is ending, the fed is insovant, Our money is then "toilet paper", and the RV will mean sweet FA to us all. If the Dinar does not RV at a dime or better, many will have a long cold winter next year. The rise in the Euro -- (have you read how financially desperate some members of the EU are?), -- is the realization of the Markets that "Change" is here! Makes me wish for the time when I didn't know what I don't know now! Good Luck to us all!!!!

Not all currencies are calculated in "Like" manners,... Most Western style Nations go thru something like Iraq is going thru right now, full valuations, credit, assets, resources (natural, and others like population, work vs welfare, education etc.). Openness and transperency are the drivers to a stable FOREX based currency. Other Nations determine their own currency worth and after a bit of quibbling amongst central banks a valuation is accepted, High or Low. Some nations through strategic improtance and have an artificially high or low valutaion by flexing a Commodity, Resource, Manufacturing, or even Military leverage/strength/potential. Many go to school for years to gain the answer to the question that you are asking, but I believe mine is the Campbell's Soup Version.

The focus on "Green" energy over conventional sources coupled with new nad increased takes, and the opportunity that the BP spill provided for dismantaling the infrastucture in the Gulf while rescinding, denying and/or reneging on issued permits for new exploration/extraction (once the rigs leave the Gulf, they are set up elsewhere and it will be years before they are available again or new rigs can be built). All the while the EPA has been reassaigned a new task of slowing, and shredding existing American Businesses, (The Department of the Interior also seems to have lost its tasking of supporting energy development as the Onshore leases are as close to non existant as we can get). Now, looking at all things at its simplest, a crippled domestic energy program (Oil, Natural Gas, Coal, Nuclear), Financial Brinkmanship games in Washington, Politics, (Identity now trumps Capability) and a true view of History that only 20% of wars involve bullets and bombs,... There is a war going on right now as we wait, it is a war that will have as great of an impact of any of the great wars of the past, The War is simply that of Self Determination of Mankind vs. those that would rule all Mankind. So,....Are we close this time? Perhaps!

Legolas, Many have successfully made the argument that the Internet was/is a game changer in that it has changed the way that all citizens of the world communicate and educate themselves, in the 29 years I have been at this craft, I have been able to go from getting mail twice a month to chatting live with a web came to those I wish,... WOW. Whatever we think the Net is now, left free and unfettered it will be much much different for our Kids, as it will be to them for thier kids. Unless they can put the Genie back in the bottle!
