  1. Selling Gold fir IQD?... Gonna bring it in while the IQD has a devalued price, and then raise the value of the currency; after they pull them in and reduce the number of IQD in the marketplace?... Gold greed would likely facilitate a plan like this... Curious!...
  2. Condolences Rich... sorry to hear of your loss.. I know he is in a better place now... May Peace be upon you and your family during this difficult time...
  3. Yep... remember, LOWER is also synonymous to UNDER... make the exchange rate under (120) DT
  4. That's no BBQ!... That's a Texas ash tray... lol
  5. How many people actually understand the items they read on here?... just curious.. there is frequently lots of praise for news that does not relate to the events we are watching for... hang in there people. If you don't understand what you are reading, do some research before you post on the relevance of it... It will only serve to make you more knowledgeable and a LOT LESS disappointed at times... that being said... lets remain hopeful, diligent, and optimistically cautious...
  6. About $38.00 USD per Iraqi... like a tax, that they don't have to pay... nice start... collectively, it should prove to be useful for infrastructure projects... hopefully...
  7. Never happen... no violation of sovereignty would be tolerated by many of the factions within Iraq... Sadr would be at the top of the list!... Thanks for the post yota... curious to see that they would even entertain the idea at ANY level...
  8. No, there is no great significance to the IMF fiscal year, it is just how they structure their bookkeeping and reconciliation on member participation every year...
  9. Isn't that Gilbert Godfrey, the comedian?... EAsy!... shame on you... taking such artistic license... please show me WHERE in the article it says they actually signed anything... all it says is that they agree they need to cooperate and get this stuff finished... same old song and dance really. but, don't be mad... I still love you....
  10. Personally, I don't see why they have open borders at all until they get their situation under control. They need a GOI and stability and security. Then maybe they could entertain the idea of open borders. But, until then, border traffic should be limited to official business and repatriation activities only.
  11. Yep, here they are once again; stating... the Rasheed and Rafidian Banks are still not ready to undertake the globalization of the IQD. World Bank is of course offering to facilitate; but, clearly this is an Iraqi thing, and is going to take some time yet to get them ready... maybe all this stuff about letting it rip in 2014 is not just a bunch of hot gas... ???
  12. This was NEVER an option... for anyone to even mention it; would be to show their absolute IGNORANCE... but then again... I digress... lol
  13. Sounds like another stall tactic; until things are ready to move forward without issues...
  14. Honestly, this is a lot of the same old rhetoric. How many times in the past have they sat down and agreed to compromise and to push things forward for the good of the people? And how many times have we seen the momentum just die in committee?... The sad part is, they both claim to want the process to follow the constitution; and yet, they continually get off track... Honestly, every time they make these claims I really want to believe them... for the people... and every time... they just let their fellow man down... I want to stay positive... but the proof will be in the pudding as they say... come on guys, lets get this thing done! Don't become the biggest failure of humanity in modern times!
  15. Please don't neg me; but... maybe this makes sense... Iraq (CBI, MoF) saying they are not ready to rebase the currency until next year (due to printing the new currency which has not been authorized yet, banks are still not ready to function internationally yet, no GOI, no stability or security), still haven't seated a government, claims of election fraud already running rampant, no HCL, still no census... will the DFI be extended?.. no REAL evidence to support that it won't yet... especially since they are not very close to having a functioning GOI all of these things take time, and we are almost to the halfway point this year already. Many articles have been placing significant change coming for 2014... I don't know... but, it sure seems to me that we could potentially still be a ways off from the finish line... I hope it comes soon; but, it just seems no one is really in a rush to get anything done with the last few sticking points in the process... anyone else think this is a possibility?... Respectfully seeking your thoughts... NOT "Red Arrows"... Cheers all!
  16. Yeah something is up in Baghdad... it's the oil production/sales... requires more USD to be converted.... JM2CW...
  17. The monies they hold, are in USD... derived from Oil sales; which we all know are conducted in USD... and I can assure you, there is no need to verify the amounts. It is all carefully tracked. They klnow how much is in there. Its simple, just multiply the amounts Kuwait has received in reparations from the DFI (5%) and multiply by 19 (that's the remaining 95%) ...
  18. Uh, Wow!... SMDH Can we close this thread now?....
  19. ha ha!... Reducing the physical number of notes from 4 billion to 1 billion does not equate to a 4USD=1IQD revaluation or even a 4IQD:1USD revaluation. LMAO!... SMDH... Gurus are like children when it comes to adult concepts...
  20. oops!... misread... wonder how this will pan out....
  21. The US government does keep a large stockpile of emergency oil. The salt domes along the gulf coast are full of it! however, I am personally suspect of the idea that the USG will stockpile the IQD and trade them for oil etc. They will exchange some, and hold some as reserve currency (a great idea if the IQD truly has great value compared to our own dollar)... JMHO
  22. ... which means that the value of the Dinar is even lower, if it cannot maintain its peg against a declining dollar... so many variables... i will be glad when this is finally over... I grow weary...
