  1. Scooter needs to put a warning label on his posts: "Do not attempt to read on laptop monitors 15" and smaller."
  2. We all remember the great letdown that was December '10. Honestly, how many of you (like myself) remember watching Joke Biden at the UN meeting to lift sanctions? Surely, I was going to be rich this year... well, this year's half over, and I'm just hoping we see a revalue before the dollar revalues itself to the dinar's current level through hyperinflation collapse.
  3. This post made me just want to unlock the safe, pull out the nice little sentry box I have my millions of dinar in... and go convince the local hippy to give me a few pounds of hydroponic for it. Eeets nawt a druhg mon, eets ah plahnt. Yea mon.
  4. Richard (don't want a bunch of asterisks) Cheney is a private citizen now, who holds no government or diplomatic office. Please explain to a dumb old jarhead how a private citizen, with some strong assets divested in proven companies like Haliburton and other energy-extraction technology firms, can fly over to Iraq for a "personal" meeting with Maliki. What in the hell makes you think Maliki would even give a private American citizen, albeit a wealthy one, the time of day. Sorry, try again. Richard Cheney is not Jimmy Carter. Now that he is out of public service, he doesn't fly the earth making a complete fool of himself with scum like the tin-hat morons Iraq is doing rather well at producing now that they have control of the reigns. Every day I try to hold faith that my fallen Marines didn't die fighting for a worthless cause, and that those of us lucky enough to make it home didn't waste our time fighting a worthless cause. The longer I watch this nuthouse descend into madness the harder it becomes to keep the faith.
  5. You'll need a licensed A&P mechanic to maintain it, and a pilot's license to operate it. I don't have my rotor certification yet, but when RV comes, I certainly will. I'll gladly accept IQD for pilot and maintenance services
  6. You specifically say "out of a total of 14 IQD bank notes that were printed prior [sic] 2006." You are making an assumption that there were 14 different BANK NOTES printed, when a high-school reading level would allow one to discern the difference between 14 note denoms only vs. 14 total denoms mixed of notes and coins from the source you cite-- "Printing a series of 14 new Iraqi Dinar notes and coins." Ahhhh... Printing a series of 14 new Iraqi Dinar notes AND coins, you say. This would imply that the CBI's original plan involved 14 denominations, which as they specifically say is a combination of notes AND coins. Well, we are all aware of the SEVEN denominations out there already: 25K, 10K, 5K, 1K, 500, 100, 50. Now, keep in mind that the CBI went for designs that were in use in Iraq BEFORE Saddam came to power, and this is why you can find all those nifty sub-50 dinar images on wikipedia... those designs were circulated before the Saddam-mug notes. Tell me, what is beyond the realm of possibility in there being unreleased (or planned but not yet minted) coins of 1/4, 1/2, 1, 2, 5, 10, and 25 dinar?
  7. Like hell you do. I have an LLC set up for my business. The moment you shell out good money that was hard earned to file paperwork with various bureaucracies and government mouth-breathers, you immediately have what I consider to be a giant neon target on your cornhole. Every tax collecting parasite now has you as a blip on their radar... to include the mother-ship, the IRS.
  8. Let me toss another -1 on there for ya to make -36. That response is tremendously revealing as to the current condition of your character. I have many expletives that would be appropriate but that will only put me back on the swear word watch list. The fact that you even asked "how is this news" only solidifies in my mind that you are a civilian weener who never served your nation, either in uniform or as a contractor. Nobody I know who has ever born the burden of freedom would be so callous, insensitive, and pompous at the mentioning of the death of one of our own. Go sit in a hut and wait for the RV. You've no business here.
  9. I hate to see this happen, and this partly reaffirms in my mind that getting out was a sound decision. Don't send people into harm's way without the tools they need to survive. In contractors' cases: they are there as a vital logistical lifeline to sustain operations. If they're not going to be armed, then by God they shouldn't be placed into a position of having to do their jobs without a blanket of security from the armed forces or armed contractors. Welcome to Hope 'n Change everyone. When you neuter the military by gutting their ROE's to insane "defensive" postures and tell them to do fewer patrols and not bring the fight to the enemy, it's only a matter of time before things get out of hand. Commanders now are being forced to prioritize their time to indoctrinate their commands on the sensitivities of homosexual behavior, and forcing their commands to ignore their own religious convictions on such matters, as opposed to going about the business of warfare. As for our fallen comrade, may he rest in peace.
  10. Well, she said "Hope, Hope, Hope." I didn't give her a -1, but unfortunately the word "hope" is now synonymous with that clueless asshat we have in office sending our economy into the shitter and dismantling liberty one constitutional bastardization at a time.
  11. I recently got backstabbed at work and was let go without warning. Due to the fact that I am an independent contractor with taxes due soon, I am now in a position of needing to liquidate my dinar investment. Up for sale is 5 million dinar, 2 million in 25K, 1 million in 10K, and 2 million in 5K. I will sell the whole lot for $5500, or individually in 1 million increments (no less) for 20 dollars less per million than Ali's current prices. I welcome face-to-face transactions, I will be back in the upstate NY area later this week after I pack up my shyte and move home. If this does not work for you, I will accept payment via US Postal Service money order only. This is to protect both the seller and the buyer. If I turn out to be a quack, it takes little more than reporting the money order as a fraudulent sale and the full force of the federal postal investigation service will track the money order deposit to my bank account. Once I have received the money order, I will send out the amount purchased via US Postal certified signature-confirmed mail. I really wish I didn't have to do this, but hopefully I can buy back into this investment before it RV's. If anyone would like to do business, please email me at "Eeee, kay, eff, eye, enn, enn at gmail dot com."
  12. By that rather weak logic the Mexican Peso should be up near the USD and Canadian Dollar. Hell, while we're at it, take a look at Britain, with it's rather strong Pound, and just across the water is Norway, just as prosperous, VERY wealthy, but with Norwegian Kroner is worth what? 20 US cents? 30 US cents? Hell, you'll spend 30 USD in Kroner on a burger and fries, and 10 USD on a damn BEER once you convert the currency over... but at least the women are pleasant on the eyeballs as you cry into your beer over the fact that you'll be broke before you're drunk. Obviously, being a wealthy nation has nothing to do with the individual strength of the unit of currency (I give you the Japanese Yen). I would really like to share your enthusiasm, but as of right now you can't use the "but Kuwait is at $3.55!" logic to say that Iraq's currency will click in at the same rate. At 10 cents I'm happy, at one dollar I'm retired.
  13. Almost makes me re-think how quickly I should pay off my dollar-based debts at the expense of purchasing more metal. I'm starting to think that maybe minimum payments are fine, and the rest can go toward some more liberty eagles. Anyone here own non-U.S. gold coins like Krugerrands?
  14. No, it's not a beautiful thing when you have morons like Bernanke at the helm. If this putz keeps things up like he's going, we're likely to see 1 USD = 1 IQD. And no, it won't be because of the Dinar revaluing.
  15. You got a problem with air wingers, grunt? SF
  16. Yes, you saw my replacement squadron pull out, VMGR-352. Since that time, the KC-130 tempo in-country has been scaled back to flights in support of deployed units, most of those going through Al Asad. It's been five years since I we were over there, and I'm sure the place has a hell of a lot more creature comforts than it did back then. Christ, you contractor welfare recipients can be a tough crowd.
  17. Hey all, About a week ago there was talk of a General Order coming down the pike through the military that forbade troops from sending IQD home-- or out of the country. There was also talk of IQD availability at the currency exchanges on some bases. I just got off the horn from one of my fellow jarheads in Al Asad (one of the more remote bases). As of right now, he is still able to turn dollars to dinars, but the general order is the real deal as they have been ordered to exchange their dinar back into dollars before leaving country next month. There have been the usual scare-tactic stories being handed down by the fairies... errr... officers.... that there's going to be a shake-down before leaving country checking for contraband. Granted, being aircrew he knows all the nooks and crannies of an aircraft... but as of right now our deployed warriors are still able to get dinar in country. Just thought you'd like to know. Yankee Zero Nine out.
  18. Bunch of dumb ***** hajjis. Worthless humans. They wouldn't have the cash for this kind of crap if our nation hadn't written off its war reparations debt... then they spend what wealth we graciously allowed them to keep to restore a Saddam monument. What a bunch of jackoffs. If we had two bits of sense, we would push RV or shove the tab up their retarded cornholes, sideways. Spend the next 100 years in poverty, fools.
  19. With the ineptitude of staggering proportion in the White House right now, it's neither... just a distraction from handing out free beer and cigarette checks to the lazy jagoffs in this country.
  20. Crying liberal bedwetting khunts such as yourself are always using the phrase "your daddy Bush." Thanks for letting me know exactly what form of mental disability you suffer from: Bush Derangement Syndrome. Sounds to me like you bought a house in 2007 in an overinflated market. Location, location, location. Sounds to me like you're just a dumbarse who bought a house in a declining market. There's a huge difference between that, and the value of prime-market houses tanking in value because the entire real estate market is flooded with foreclosure sales. By the way, it was Dubya who forewarned the congress of the absolute need to reign in Fannie and Freddy, in 2001. Keep pouting... I'm sure O will come to visit soon and give you a nice squishy feelgood hug. Or better yet, I'm sure Barney Fwank can come give you a hug.
  21. He looks like a kid who got bullied around as a child who has reached adulthood. Someone in our intelligence community please end his low self esteem suffering and give him the ol' painless.
  22. Holy crap... the Australian dollar is right up with our dollar now? I went there a few years ago and the bloody thing was about 65 cents to the Australian dollar. I should have stocked up. I think I only brought back some ones, fives, tens, twenties, and a fifty or two. What are the chances of the IQD exceeding Kuwait? About as good as finding an open bathroom at a beerfest.
  23. Well, at that rate, I can basically trade them back for what I bought them from Ali for! Now who's with me?!..... Ah, the sound of silence.
  24. Exactly. These morons could fubar a wet dream. The instant I'm able to offload, I will. Now, that doesn't mean I'm going to cash in for all USD, but it will be leaving my vault rapidly, and you'll probably hear the tires on my truck lose a little rubber in the process.
