We would never have had "them" without "it"..... If making money is wrong then I don't want to be right!! Please look at the level of poverty found in countries who are not dependent on energy sources....... Is that your vision of a greater world? Do you know who is the largest investors in the study for renewable energy sources? Oil companies! Why? Simple, we are about finding and producing an energy product that is viable on the open market regardless of its source. When that solution is found, we will provide it. Till then, we must continue to exploit the what is currently available in order to avoid the catastrophe we would face without it!

Sorry but I believe the reason why profs are liberal is because they don't have to live in the real world where performance dictates job security. There is no such thing as tenure in the real world. I must produce and do so daily or I loose what I have..... Period. In my younger days, I taught science on the collegiate level and on the high school level and I came to the realization that the old saying "Those who can do... Those who can't teach" is based on reality.

It matters not that I pay 43% of every dollar I earn in taxes. I give 10% of every dollar I earn to charities and and volunteer at least 3 hours every week to those in need. Now lets compound it even further...... I'm in the oil and gas exploration business..... You know what they have to say about us!! The level of vitriol thrown my way daily is ridiculous! To listen to the left I should be ashamed to have served in the military, I should feel guilty about being white, I should apologize for being successful and I should be criminalized because I'm a member of the NRA who happens to also provide a needed product to a group of people who demonize the very thing they are dependent on...... My group is cut to pieces daily when all the while we plod on providing jobs, paying our taxes, serving our communities and living honest worthwhile lives!!!! You are correct, we did have a period of global warming but the median temperature has dropped now for the past 5 years and we are entering a phase of global cooling...... To suggest ways to suppress republican votes and then claim republicans are doing the same by wanting voter id laws is hypocritical at best. You have to have an id in this country to do many things such as receive welfare benefits, buy cigarettes, get in a bar etc..... Of dem voters use id's for these things daily, how is it voter suppression to require the same thing to cast a ballot???

The line..." Let me be clear" makes my skin crawl!!

I was born to 2 parents who fully indulged themselves in the hippie movement. When dad got high or drunk, he withdrew. When mom got high or drunk, she got mean. After 15 years of this, I struck out on my own hell bent to show the world I didn't need anybody. I was determined to be successful. Me and the GI Bill put me through college and by the time I was 32 I was general manager for a large corporation. Company ride, corner office, secretary out front, golf 3 times a week, Vegas every other month, trips all over the world..... I was living the big life and full of pride and arrogance because I thought I had done it all. I thought in spite of the what things had been like growing up, I became someone...... Then everything fell apart and in a 2 week span of time, I found myself homeless again and alone. I lost my house, my wife and kid, my job, I lost everything....... Including my pride. Then..... On December 19, 1999 homeless and in the middle of the worst ice storm in ages here in east Texas, I remembered back to what I had learned in VBS all those times my parents sent me so that I could be out of their hair..... I remembered Jesus.... I remembered hearing that true JOY was found in Jesus, Others then Yourself...... I cried out to him that day and asked him if he was real to come into my life and save me..... He did just that!!! The next 6 years became a great time of growth and healing. I reestablished a relationship with my dad (too late for mom, she had Alzheimer's) became the dad my son needed and grew immensely in The Lord!!! I am now remarried to a HOT wife who loves Jesus!! I now have a greater position than I ever had before and I teach intercity kids who have backgrounds like I did every week!!! Jesus is my savior, my hero, my life's ambition!!! Without him, I would literally be nothing!!,

Anytime society creates a system that offers a better standard of living for an individual than they can or are willing to provide themselves, you get abuse. The vast majority of folks living on the government dime are physically and mentally able to care for themselves. However, the effort that takes and the sacrifices that have to be made are more than most of them are willing to endure! Heck, if I can have a flat screen tv, AC, cable, cell phone, food, house and clothes all off the government dime without having to do anything but stand in line to get it...... Limit able bodied persons to 6 months of assistance and stick to that and the numbers will decrease while the number of productive citizens will increase!!!!! We make it to darn easy to be a deadbeat in this country!!!!

South Oak Cliff.... Poverty stricken and crime riddled! There are some older folks who live there that are sickened by the mentality of those whom reside around them. I've spoken with these folks on numerous occasions and most feel that the entitlement mentality of this younger generation fosters crime and warps morality. We see that evidenced here.

Outside of the day accepted Jesus, the day I got married and they days my kids were born, the days I spent as an active duty combat soldier will always be remembered with silent pride and as some of the best days of my life!! I am blessed to have been an 8th generation American Soldier! From the battles against Cornwallis in South and North Carolina all the way up to The current conflicts, members and ancestors of my family served! May God bless America and may God bless Texas!!!
