  1. AS long as this keeps happening they will keep on milking it. I checked the last time the auction amount went below 100 mil, that was when the 000 Rumors started to fly. Just saying. CBI sells $127 million on Monday October 18, 2010 - 06:00:24 BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: The Central Bank of Iraq’s (CBI) dollar sales reached $127.910 million in its daily auction on Monday. “There was no demand on cash, while the foreign transfers outside the country reached $127.910 million, covered at an exchange rate of 1,179 Iraqi dinars per dollar,” according to a CBI news bulletin received by Aswat al-Iraq news agency. None of the 14 banks that participated in today’s session offered to sell dollars. The Central Bank of Iraq runs a daily auction from Sunday to Thursday. SH (P)
  2. Nice i truly admire anyone with honesty and the guts to display it.........
  3. Who_Dat i agree there are many possibilities but very few that benefit the government and people of Iraq. They must raise the value of the dinar in order to become a member of the WTO. Not to mention they need buying power just to survive. They have signed many contracts to purchase billions if not trillions worth of equipment for both military and non-military use. Oil will not pay for all of this......neither will a worthless currency.Just something to think about. In any case we will know very soon how they plan to proceed. In my it's RV then removal of large notes as they get cashed in. In any case good luck and nice job with your post. Its always good to look at every possibility.
  4. My favorite part.... For his part, a Kurdish official told The Associated Press that the formation of the Government of Iraq has become imminent and that an agreement was reached whereby the Kurds to give their support to the owners....VERY NICE.
  5. No they could RV before GOV. seating. However IMO they will in true political form, form the gov.,RV,and claim they made it happen.Al-Shibibi says this matter should not be exaggerated, noting that the Iraqi Government, not the Central Bank, has an agreement with the IMF, and the Central Bank implements the government’s monetary policies. Goggle Al-Shibibi and you will learn much.
  6. BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki said his coalition is close to forming a government and could announce a new coalition by next week, ending the country’s long-running political crisis. “This is not going to be easily determined, but the progress of these talks indicates we have come to near the end of these negotiations,” Maliki told The Christian Science Monitor on Friday. Speaking in his first interview since he received the key backing of hard-line cleric Muqtada al-Sadr last week, Maliki said he expects the results of negotiations with the Kurdish coalition and talks with the secular Iraqiya block to become clear in the next two to three days. Although the most likely scenario appeared to involve an alliance with Ayad Allawi, whose Iraqiya coalition includes many Sunnis, it was still unclear whether Allawi would accept Maliki’s terms. The proposed alliance with Allawi also appeared to sideline the Kurds. Iraqis went to the polls in March in the first national election since they regained full sovereignty, but forming a government that does not exclude major groups and risk re-igniting sectarian violence has proved agonizingly difficult. When none of the candidates won enough seats to form a majority in parliament, Maliki demanded and obtained a recount. Seven months after the election, negotiations have just recently swung into high gear. Maliki, who is still more than 20 seats short of the 163-seat majority he needs in parliament, looks almost certain to be the next prime minister, unless his main Shiite rival Adel Abdul Mehdi can muster enough votes. 7. Nicely put Dogmatic1,most forget when they were a Newbie.I also appreciate his or hers effort. As for the post yes it has not been confirmed, but it also has not been dined. GO RV......
  8. BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: The Iraqi capital witnessed on Friday a massive sit-in at the al-Firdows Square, central Baghdad, demanding to accelerate the process of forming a national government of real partnership. The participants also demanded to get services urgently, and that violations to the constitution have to be stopped. The demonstrators offered two options, either to form the government or to redo the election. They said that if the government was not formed, then authority should be restored to the Iraqi people. Several demonstrations were held today, mainly after the Friday Prayer, against the delay in forming the government. Now lets see how they respond to the voters organized demands...Go RV
  9. Sure it's obvious, they must RV as this would give them the capital buying power to produce and buy raw materials. They are at the losing end of almost every deal made until they have monetary power. Very simple.
  10. Mal Aqrawi, a political analyst based in the Kurdish city of Irbil, said there are some splits among Kurds over whether to back al-Maliki's bloc, but it appears that he will eventually get the Kurdish nod. "The Kurds will back al-Maliki because he has the most power in parliament and it is the most logical choice," he said. Murphy reported from Baghdad. Associated Press Writer Sinan Salaheddin in Baghdad contributed to this report. http://www.google.co...docId=D9IJOLQ01

  12. Zantac, there is far less bashing then your statements would imply.Fact is you drop a bomb and run without giving us even a tiny bit of the Intel. That is what people were interested in....WHAT INTEL...??? As for the $741 mil well to me its obvious that this is a draw from the original 3.4 bil loan to help Iraq execute their entry into the global monetary system. Just look at it this way if you were loaning someone money as a banker you would want to be paid back right? Well this loan is setup to make that happen. The IMF board knows Iraq will be able to pay them back. ie with GDP and a little thing known to all of us as the RV.
  13. GID is a repeatable source but you will find a better rate with a local exchange center. I get 1 mil for $930. As for them being uncirculated....that dose not matter. When you cash out they are all the same.
  14. Just wondering if anyone here can come up with a link that shows a current amount of Dinar in circulation. I see a lot of post that say anywhere from 5 to 30 trillion. This is the kind of info that might give us a clue as to the possible rate. Thanks .........................
  15. Bank manager arrested with stolen money February 3, 2010 - 08:59:28 WASSIT / Aswat al-Iraq: A police force arrested on Wednesday a bank manager and his driver and found with them stolen money, an official said. “Police forces arrested on Wednesday morning (Feb. 3) manager of al-Warkaa bank’s branch in al-Nuaamaniya district, north of Kut, along with his driver and found stolen money in their possession,” Mohammad Maneaa, chairman of the local council, told Aswat al-Iraq news agency. “Policemen raided their houses in central al-Nuaamaniya and found 900 million Iraqi dinars stolen from the bank,” he added. “They confessed during interrogation to stealing the money and hiding it at their houses,” he said. Kut, the capital of Wassit, is 180 km southeast of Baghdad This is why i decided not to do business with Warka. If you can get your money out you might want to consider it. I know this art. is past tense but for me the past is a clue to future events. I hope this all goes away and all Warka acct. holders achieve their goals. However if it were me i would get my money out if i could.
  16. While i agree your numbers make your argument, they are your numbers. It is not uncommon for a country to hold in reserve as high as 30% of there printed currency. This money would show up as circulated and therefor be used in your 27 Trillion number. This would make the number in circulation around 19%. Then we must remind ourselves that there is more to a RV than just the amount in circulation. Trust me the Iraqi gov. will make their case. They need to pay bills to.AND BELIEVE ME THERE BILLS ARE HUGE. .03 will not even scratch the surface. Relax soon Iraqi people will be smiling as big as those who invested in the dinar.
  17. Maybe we should start a new forum topic for those wishing to laugh...........Called .......NEED A LAUGH...OR.....HERE'S A JOKE....Please not to bash or anything but this is a dinar rumor investment topic and or site. Some of the so called funny post are to be frank just tasteless and not funny.
  18. PLEASE SOMEONE REMOVE THIS STUPID POST.
  19. Nice post thanks for the link.....
  20. May be funny to someone else but not to me.I don't like being manipulated by a false headline to a post that clearly has nothing to do with its title. If you have something constructive to say that adds to our mutual endeavor then say it . No need to lie to bring attention to your thoughts. I hope this thread gets removed.
  21. THIS IS BIG IN MY BOOK.......TO ME THIS MEANS THIS GUY GETS 80 TO 90 % BACKING FROM ALL BLOCS....
  22. I for one do not understand TerryK. If he is pumping he is not assisting his credibility much by never leaving himself an out. If he is being mislead then you would think he would find better sources or confirm the story even though it may be a rumor at this point. Only explanation is he enjoys the hype or is desperate in some way. Funny thing is i believe the number will be close to $4.25. That is when it RV's. IMO it will come out high and drop like a rock as multiple governments will be cashing out. China will drop their dinar like a hot potato to push the dinar down. They do not want a high RV. This will hurt there currency as the debt ratios globally will change. NOT IN CHINA'S FAVOR ...So when the time comes i will be ready for a exit quick. JMO
  23. Thank you for your post and please keep them comming. It is great to hear some truth and humility in the same post.......
