The Central Bank of Iraq issues CBI bills and has adopted a mechanism that will be applied periodically. The results will be announced at 11 am after the closing time of the auction which is at 10 am.

Further to our Notice dated 2/11/2011 we would like to inform you CBI decided to postpone the auction No.C46 for period (91) days which is supposed to stay in 8/11/2011, because of the holiday AL-Adha to the date of 22/11/2011 .

This is there bond auction listing and is old news it’s the fist one that they have had for a while. There is no currency auction(what most are used to seeing posted) for today as it’s a holiday

so how to you explain the postponement of any CBI bills auctions for 90 days.....this isn't an announcement for one or a few holiday days....this is for an entire quater!

they've posponed selling CBI notes for three months?

I am not sure, however if you visit the link it looks like these are bonds or securities, this isn't related to the daily currency auctions. Two separate mechanisms - It appears these securities (I think) were auctioned and will mature in 91 days.

The call them CBI bills -

because as I stated this is a bond auction( not a currency auction ) just like the fed does there selling t-bills
