A lot of truth in this one! make sure you read to the end

Wal-Mart vs. The Morons

1. Americans spend $36,000,000 at Wal-Mart every hour

of every day.

2.This works out to $20,928 profit every minute!

3. Wal-Mart will sell more from January 1 to St..

Patrick's Day (March 17th) than Target sells all year.

4. Wal-Mart is bigger than Home Depot + Kroger +

Target + Sears + Costco + K- Mart combined..

5. Wal-Mart employs 1.6 million people, is the world's

largest private employer, and most speak English.

6. Wal-Mart is the largest company in the history of the world.

7. Wal-Mart now sells more food than Kroger and

Safeway combined, and keep in mind they did this in only fifteen years.

8. During this same period, 31 big supermarket chains

sought bankruptcy.

9. Wal-Mart now sells more food than any other store

in the world.

10. Wal-Mart has approx 3,900 stores in the U S A of

which 2,906 are Super Centers; this is 1,000 more than

it had five years ago..

11.This year 7.2 billion different purchasing

experiences will occur at Wal-Mart stores.

(Earth's population is

approximately 6.5 Billion.)

12. 90% of all Americans live within fifteen miles of

a Wal-Mart.

13. Wal-Mart has gross sales that total more than the

total revenue of all the countries in the world,

except 6 nations.

You may think that I am complaining, but I am

really laying the ground work for suggesting that

MAYBE we should hire the

guys who run Wal-Mart to fix the economy.

This should be read and understood by all Americans

Democrats, Republicans, What ever party, E V E R Y O N E !!

To the President and all 535 voting members

of the Legislature, both parties.

It is now official -

you are ALL corrupt morons:

A

The U.S. Postal Service was established in 1775.

You have had 234 years to get it right

and it is broke.

B

Social Security was established in 1935.

You have had 74 years to get it right

and it is broke.

C

Fannie Mae was established in 1938.

You have had 71 years to get it right

and it is broke.

D

War on Poverty started in 1964.

You have had 45 years to get it right; $1 trillion

of our money is confiscated each year

and transferred to "the poor"

and they only want more.

E

Medicare and Medicaid were established in 1965.

You have had 44 years to get it right

and they are broke.

F

Freddie Mac was established in 1970.

You have had 39 years to get it right

and it is broke.

G

The Department of Energy was created in 1977 to

lessen our dependence on foreign oil.

It has ballooned to 16,000 employees with a

budget of $24 billion a year

and we import more oil than ever before.

You had 32 years to get it right

and it is powerless to accomplish its mission.

H

The Department of Education was created in 1980 to “promote student achievement and preparation for global competitiveness by fostering educational excellence and ensuring equal access.”

It has about 5,000 employees (it is hard to tell since all of these educated people can’t count or add or multiply, let alone do higher math accurately) with a

budget in excess of $71 billion a year

and HS graduation rates are plummeting while ACT/SAT scores are dropping through the basement.

You had 29 years to get it right

and it is an abject failure – an “F” for you in academia who cannot read.

I

!!!You have FAILED – You MORONS !!!

in every "government service" you have shoved

down our throats while overspending our tax dollars.

AND YOU WANT AMERICANS

WITH A GOVERNMENT-RUN HEALTH CARE SYSTEM ??

YOU THINK YOU CAN RUN THE

AUTO INDUSTRY.... THE BANKING SYSTEM?????

WE OUGHT TO KICK YOUR EGG-HEAD

BUDDY BUMS OUT OF OFFICE AND

HIRE WALMART TO RUN THE GOVERNMENT ???

WALMART SEEMS TO KNOW HOW TO RUN A BUSINESS...

WHY DON'T YOU GUYS JUST ADMIT

IT'S WAY BEYOND YOUR PAY GRADE, AND QUIT?

Maybe it will end up in the e-mails of some of our "duly elected'

(they never read anything) and their staff will clue them in on how Americans feel.

if their staff can read!

Great post bluebell! I've been saying this for years. The politicians ALWAYS talk this up big during election years just to get votes, "we need to run the government like a business, we need to cut taxes, we need to cut spending, etc. etc. etc." However, then when they get elected, all it seems they REALLY work on while they're in there, is how to STAY in there! "Gotta get re-elected, gotta raise more money for my re-election, re-elect me to another term and I can finish the work I started! blah...blah...blah!" It's not our republic that's at fault. We live in the Greatest Country in the World! But the Power hungry, Greedy political powers that be are running this Great Country into the ground! Yes! We can vote them all out, but every election year when I think I'm doing just that, the ones I help put in there turn out to be just as bad...!!

Excuse me for the rant, but I've had just about enough of all of this "game playing" with ALL of our lives! Anyway, thanks for the post.

So much truth in this post. Private industry is so much more efficient than govt. inefficiency. And they would probably keep paying their workers just barely above minimum wage to get things done, so that would really lighten our national budget! tongue.gif

I do have a couple of problems with Walmart, gobbling up the market, soon to become an unstoppable retail force... when that happens how "cheap" will they be? Who will be left to compete against them? But I understand where your post is coming from...so +1 from me.

Thanks for the post and welcome to the DV! Used to live in the foothills of NC... miss them mountains!

I guess the first step would be to outsource the Defence Department out to China the State Department to North Korea, the Dept. of Education to ITT Tech, the Treasury to Nigeria and the Dept of the Interior to Russia. Sell the rest to the highest bidder and the US might even make a profit.

Ha! Ha! Wpsmit - I certainly hope not. Then Wal-Mart would go bankrupt! No, I think the govenrment needs to go to Wal-Mart's accounting department and ask for their help - maybe they could help the government balance the budget eventually!

Paulp67 - You are probably correct - I'm in the wrong area but honestly, I didn't know where to put my pearls of wisdom so people would see them! I just thought while we are all waiting for the RV and are stressed out, I would add some food for thought for our brains to concentrate on other than the RV. Mods, please move these threads to the correct forum and I apologize for them being in the wrong area. I really didn't know where to put them. Sorry.

And here is the PROOF just how well that has worked out. Say hello to one of our 3rd year college students! LOL

Well I am not sure of that, but ITT would likely do a better job or maybe just can the department.

I have no problem with the government running with what it is suppose to do. The problem lies in their inefficiency and having their nose where it does not belong. Education is the states responsibility. The Department of the Interior has some problems.

The biggest problem of the Treasury (other than having someone that forgot to pay their revenue fees) is they need to run our countries fiances, instead of having the federal reserve print debt notes. It is their job to print and control our money supply.

If we had competent people running our national Departments, we would save money. Lots of ideas out there. Here's mine. Pay the Head of the Department to not increase the budget and lower their pay if they do. Before we instigate this have all Departments receive a 15% cut in budget. There is a lot of fat that feed parasites.

I will have no problem increasing their budget a little bit if they do well. If after the cuts of 15% they can prove they need more, our nation will help them out.

The way budget is currently being ran is that they assume the Department will get an annual increase of the inflation rate. Lets give them 50% of that if they can justify they need it (good luck).

Ron Paul said it is easy to balance the budget. You reduce by one percent what was spent this year and do that every year. In about 6 years the balance budget is here. So one solution would be to cut 15% by reducing their budget one percent for ten years and then just one half of one percent for the next ten years.

Just my :twocents:

Edited to be more easily understood
