  1. Adam, I read a number of financial newsletters daily and they are all warning about a currency crash and the wipe out of wealth, etc. I am wondering if it's prudent to change our dinars into dollars in case there is a collapse and we would then lose everything. Would it be better to hang onto the dinar instead or change some of it into other currencies instead of the dollar?. I think they are stating there are only about three currencies that would make sense. From what I read (and it's all scary). we are in for an "economic Pearl Harbor" as one financial expert puts it. Of course I will add that most of them tell you all the horrors and then offer another, higher priced newsletter to tell you how to survive the hard times. However, we would have to have our heads buried in the sand not to see the signs of impending doom as far as the dollar is concerned. I just wanted to know your thoughts on this. Of course, metals would be good, too. Thanks for all your hard work on our behalf, Adam. It is much appreciated, especially in these days when it is so hard to know who you can trust. Actually, I meant this question for the chat room but didn't know how to put it there since there is no thread for this Wednesday's chat yet and it may be something others would be concerned about but if you want to reply to me directly on this, that would be fine and I would appreciate it. Thanks, Adam!
  2. You got that right, Francie26, and he still has over another year to keep making it worse. I think America is finally waking up but the question is, what can we do about it? Voting him out is only part of the answer (and that's if the voting isn't all rigged anyway). My daddy always said an honest man would never be a politician! After watching all of Jesse Ventura's Conspiracy Theories last year, especially about the FEMA camps, Martial Law, etc., again, I ask, what can Americans do about all of this? If we protest, we'd be listed on a terrorist list or we'd quietly have "an accident". I often wonder what our founding fathers generation would do now - I know they must be rolling over in their graves to see the mess our beautiful America is in. The worse part is all the lives lost that have fought and died to keep America free and she is being destroyed from within by the greed and power of a few who hate her. I truly hope God is watching over America. We need Him now more than ever!
  3. Ha! Ha! Wpsmit - I certainly hope not. Then Wal-Mart would go bankrupt! No, I think the govenrment needs to go to Wal-Mart's accounting department and ask for their help - maybe they could help the government balance the budget eventually! Paulp67 - You are probably correct - I'm in the wrong area but honestly, I didn't know where to put my pearls of wisdom so people would see them! I just thought while we are all waiting for the RV and are stressed out, I would add some food for thought for our brains to concentrate on other than the RV. Mods, please move these threads to the correct forum and I apologize for them being in the wrong area. I really didn't know where to put them. Sorry. Bluebell
  4. Rnldtippitt, it may seem like old news but remember that this has been shoved "to the back burner" until after the election of 2012, for obvious reasons. People need to know about it and remember it so they can watch for it before hand so that it doesn't "slide through" after the elections. It's bad enough the banks take whatever they can in their monthly maintainence fees, under limit fees, overlimit fees, and just cause we feel like it fees - if this 1% tax bill goes through, we'll be lucky if we have anything left after all their thievery! Being forewarned is being forearmed! Peace, Bluebell
  5. A lot of truth in this one! make sure you read to the end Wal-Mart vs. The Morons 1. Americans spend $36,000,000 at Wal-Mart every hour of every day. 2.This works out to $20,928 profit every minute! 3. Wal-Mart will sell more from January 1 to St.. Patrick's Day (March 17th) than Target sells all year. 4. Wal-Mart is bigger than Home Depot + Kroger + Target + Sears + Costco + K- Mart combined.. 5. Wal-Mart employs 1.6 million people, is the world's largest private employer, and most speak English. 6. Wal-Mart is the largest company in the history of the world. 7. Wal-Mart now sells more food than Kroger and Safeway combined, and keep in mind they did this in only fifteen years. 8. During this same period, 31 big supermarket chains sought bankruptcy. 9. Wal-Mart now sells more food than any other store in the world. 10. Wal-Mart has approx 3,900 stores in the U S A of which 2,906 are Super Centers; this is 1,000 more than it had five years ago.. 11.This year 7.2 billion different purchasing experiences will occur at Wal-Mart stores. (Earth's population is approximately 6.5 Billion.) 12. 90% of all Americans live within fifteen miles of a Wal-Mart. 13. Wal-Mart has gross sales that total more than the total revenue of all the countries in the world, except 6 nations. You may think that I am complaining, but I am really laying the ground work for suggesting that MAYBE we should hire the guys who run Wal-Mart to fix the economy. This should be read and understood by all Americans Democrats, Republicans, What ever party, E V E R Y O N E !! To the President and all 535 voting members of the Legislature, both parties. It is now official - you are ALL corrupt morons: A The U.S. Postal Service was established in 1775. You have had 234 years to get it right and it is broke. B Social Security was established in 1935. You have had 74 years to get it right and it is broke. C Fannie Mae was established in 1938. You have had 71 years to get it right and it is broke. D War on Poverty started in 1964. You have had 45 years to get it right; $1 trillion of our money is confiscated each year and transferred to "the poor" and they only want more. E Medicare and Medicaid were established in 1965. You have had 44 years to get it right and they are broke. F Freddie Mac was established in 1970. You have had 39 years to get it right and it is broke. G The Department of Energy was created in 1977 to lessen our dependence on foreign oil. It has ballooned to 16,000 employees with a budget of $24 billion a year and we import more oil than ever before. You had 32 years to get it right and it is powerless to accomplish its mission. H The Department of Education was created in 1980 to “promote student achievement and preparation for global competitiveness by fostering educational excellence and ensuring equal access.” It has about 5,000 employees (it is hard to tell since all of these educated people can’t count or add or multiply, let alone do higher math accurately) with a budget in excess of $71 billion a year and HS graduation rates are plummeting while ACT/SAT scores are dropping through the basement. You had 29 years to get it right and it is an abject failure – an “F” for you in academia who cannot read. I !!!You have FAILED – You MORONS !!! in every "government service" you have shoved down our throats while overspending our tax dollars. AND YOU WANT AMERICANS TO BELIEVE YOU CAN BE TRUSTED WITH A GOVERNMENT-RUN HEALTH CARE SYSTEM ?? YOU THINK YOU CAN RUN THE AUTO INDUSTRY.... THE BANKING SYSTEM????? WE OUGHT TO KICK YOUR EGG-HEAD BUDDY BUMS OUT OF OFFICE AND HIRE WALMART TO RUN THE GOVERNMENT ??? WALMART SEEMS TO KNOW HOW TO RUN A BUSINESS... WHY DON'T YOU GUYS JUST ADMIT IT'S WAY BEYOND YOUR PAY GRADE, AND QUIT? Maybe it will end up in the e-mails of some of our "duly elected' (they never read anything) and their staff will clue them in on how Americans feel. if their staff can read! "You can't fix stupid, but you can vote it out."
  6. Subject: A solution... Warren Buffett, in a recent interview with CNBC, offers one of the best quotes I've heard in all this drama about the debt ceiling: "I could end the deficit in 5 minutes," he told Becky Quick. "You just pass a law that says anytime there is a deficit of more than 3% of GDP, no sitting member of Congress will be eligible for re-election."
  7. 1% tax on all bank transactions -- HR4646 Watch for this AFTER November, 2012 elections; remember this BEFORE you VOTE in case you think Obama's looking out for your best interest. 1% tax on all bank transactions HR 4646 This government just cannot think of enough ways to hurt the American people! I sure hope this dies!!!!! 1% tax on all bank transactions HR 4646 - ANOTHER NEW OBAMA TAX SLIPPED IN WHILE WE WERE ASLEEP. Checked this on snopes, it's true! Check out HR 4646. President Obama's finance team is recommending a one percent (1%) transaction fee (TAX). Obama's plan is to sneak it in after the November elections to keep it under the radar. This is a 1% tax on all transactions at any financial institution - banks, credit unions, savings and loans, etc. Any deposit you make, or even a transfer within your account, will have a 1% tax charged. ~If your paycheck or your social security or whatever is direct deposit, it will get a 1% tax charged for the transaction. ~If your paycheck is $1000, then you will pay Obama $10 just for the privilege of depositing your paycheck in your bank. Even if you hand carry your paycheck or any check into your bank for a deposit, 1% tax will be charged. ~You receive a $5,000 stock dividend from your broker, Obama takes $50 just to allow you to deposit that check in the bank. ~If you take $1,000 cash to deposit at your bank, 1% tax will be charged. Mind you, this is from the man who promised that, if you make under $250,000 per year, you will not see one penny of new tax. Keep your eyes and ears open, you will be amazed at what you learn about this guy's under-the-table moves to increase the number of ways you are taxed. ~Oh, and by the way,if you receive a refund from the IRS next year and you have it direct deposited or you walk in to deposit that check, you guessed it. You will pay a 1% charge of that money just for putting it in your bank. Remember, any money, cash, check or whatever, no matter where it came from, you will pay a 1% fee if you put it in the bank. Some will say, oh well, it's just 1%. Are you kidding me? It's a 1% tax increase across the board. Remember, once the tax is there, they can also raise it at will. And if anyone protests, they will just say, "oh,that's not really a tax, it's a user fee"! Think this is no big deal? Go back and look at the transactions you made from last year's banking statements. Then add the total of all those transactions and deduct 1%. Still think it's no big deal?
  8. Ron Skilbeck, thank you for your kind answer and information. I appreciate it. The more I read in the forums, the more I feel like the grandpa in the movie, Moonstruck, when he says, "I'm so confused" towards the end of it! It's definitely hard to figure out what's what sometimes. Guess we just keep on, keeping on! Thanks again.
  9. To ask a stupid question, I've noticed dinar and Bahran or Barain, I think was the word. Is this in Iraq or a different country? The reason I asked is that my daughter just showed me today a 1/2 dinar note, issued by the Central Bank of Barain and it looked a lot like the Iraq dinar. It was given to her by her boyfriend's sister, who is in the Navy. I can't imagine what 1/2 dinar is worth if a regular dinar has been worth 1/10th of a penny, if I'm correct in what I've read before. Anyway, I'm just curious - where is Barain? Apparently they have very small denomination notes! And I did see it and actually held it in my hand. My daughter was wondering what it would be worth, if anything, after the RV. Anyone???
  10. I've really been searching for the answer to this question but haven't found it so far. I joined VIP on the first of this month and paid for a six month subscription. Am I supposed to receive a VIP certificate or is it only for those who sign up for Platinum membership? Each time I go to the certificate link, I have to purchase a lifetime platinum membership it seems. Since I just paid $95.00 for the six month membership, and I think I read where it can't be prorated or deducted from the $358 price, I'm trying to figure out if VIP members still get a certificate at the other levels of membership or just the Platinum. I thought one of the benefits of being a VIP member was the certificate but I could have been wrong. If you can answer this for me I would greatly appreciate it. If other levels of membership do get a certificate, how do we get it without going through the "add to cart" part of the certificate page and upgrading to Platinum? Just trying to figure it all out. I'm spending my whole day reading, reading and reading on Dinar Vets!!! Thanks!
  11. Well, I tried for an hour to get on. Windows wouldn't let me download anything so I tried Firefox and downloaded the Java plug-ins but never got past the window with the arrow, "click here for plug-in". I seemed to go in a loop since I kept installing the Java download but then nothing ever came up or on or whatever was supposed to have happened. Maybe I'm doing something wrong. Once the Java plug-ins are installed, don't you click on the Chatroom at the top? Shouldn't that then take you into the Chat Room? Anyway, I did try to make it and if anyone knows what I'm doing wrong or need to do to get into the Chatroom, I'd appreciate your telling me! Thanks.
